Its not good or bad, per se, but its what they need to rebuild their country. The budget will not, IMO, have a new rate nor will it 'cause' the RV after its in the Gazette. What it will do, however, is allow the different organizations to have the money to work on projects and infrastructure that will eventually cause inflation....which will benefit an RV. So don't be disappointed when the budget is posted in 2-3 weeks and there's not an immediate RV (because the gurus will go nuts over this), but watch more the business and re-building that Iraq iis able to produce with the budget. They do a budget every year, so its not as big of a deal (RV wise) as some make it out to be, but it is important when looking at the overall picture.

Might be interesting but Maliki will not be the one to announce the RV...not in a million years. That's a CBI issue, not government. In any case perhaps its something to do with the upcoming National conference. Too often these reporters throw around words like "urgent, in a few, in the coming days, etc" but they have another meaning to them than they do to us.

That's the same thing everyone said last year, there is no proof that the budget is based on a new rate...if so, please provide it factually, not based on assumption. The reality is that Iraq can continue to function on the current rate if they so desire.

It doesn't. Use your own knowledge and move on to more current events. Don't rely on others interpretations of OLD articles.

Don't forget, if you're familiar with Rand's past posts and RV-calling, he claims that he has to type with mis-spellings because "they" are tracking him??!! So please take his postings with a grain of salt. If someone of utter importance were tracking him, why on God's Green Earth would he be on a dinar website mis_spelling things for us all to be "in the know." Pleasssseeeeee!

Regardless of who you're a "fan" of reading in the forum, the bottom line is that these guys don't know anymore than you do. They do a good job interpreting the articles to fit what we all want to hear, but I have personally and professionally disagreed with a lot of things they post. Its a speculative investment and we should all continue to read the news and educate ourselves based on research, not based on what a few people interpret things as. No offense to them whatsoever, but I've seen this forum turn into more of a popularity contest about "pluses and minuses and evening-you -out" than about the Iraqi Dinar. I personally wish the plus/minus system didn't exist. I'm not here for a popularity contest. And I've noticed, quite honestly, that since certain people have stopped posting a whole new group of people has felt more comfortable posting. What does that say?

Hello, I have been receiving an "Error Occurred" message on any page I try to open for the past few weeks. I have to refresh constantly because I get the error message and it says I "do not have permission to view this forum" on every page I click on. This happens not only on my cell phone but I've also receieved this error message on at least 10 other computers (other than my own) when trying to view pages, so its clearly not my computer (s), its something wrong on my account. I've tried deleting cookies and resetting everything but nothing has worked. Can you offer advice please?

They need to black out the media to keep people safe at the Summit. There is a constant threat of bombings in that country, particularly when other leaders from other countries are there. The last thing they need is an inconsistent and 90% untrue media report leaked out to cause chaos when those leaders are still in country. Oh and the media blackout obviously is pretty limited, based on the fact that we are still reading articles all day long from the Iraqi media......just food for thought.

Not really, all of Oct/Nov chats are very convincing that "it" would happen by Thanksgiving. And last year around May or so, there were chats about "I can't see it going past June.". So although I enjopy hearing Adams take, I also take it with a grain of salt because he has indeed predicted the RV in the past. Although not as often or heavily as most gurus. Take Adams input and mesh it with your own research to form an opinion. Putting all your eggs in one basket is a dangerous path to go on, in investments particularly.

Just someones opinion on what the Summit should entail. Unfortunately this guys opinion means nothing to the agenda of the Summit.

Thank you but I've seen that video hundreds of times and as you stated, I feel his statement about security was meant for the country in general. Again, a statement that could easily be turned around to mean RV.... But I've never seen anything he said directly pertaining to an RV and "needing 3 days" etc, the so-commonly-used statements to make a lot of these articles seem to point to RV. If that video is all everyone (including Phoenix) are going off of, my opinion is that's not in a million years enough to validate "what's Shabibi said" about an RV.

Thank you for the reply. I have done my own research, trust me, and I have in-house sources that help me interpret things as well. The reason I asked the wuestions is because in all of my research I have not ever found such articles with Shabs's statements. I realize phoenix says he has heard it but he has yet to provide a link as well (and frankly I don't mean this personally, but I'm not a phoenix fan as he has misinterpreted a lot of things over the years). In any case, we cannot assume Shabs said anything unless we can prove it. And as far as not being able to find those articles in the archives....would you not think those articles would be so important that they would be saved, pinned, or frequently used as reference in postings on all dinar sites? If Shabs made comments on "what needs to happen" for an RV, those articles would be saved and frequently visited. Wouldn't you agree?

I hear a lot of talk about Shabibi said this or that, but noone ever has a link to back it up. Can someone please provide a link to a news article or conference where Shabibi ACTUALLY stated that he "needed 3 days to change the rate", "needed increased security to change the rate", or any other significant Shabs statements. I've been in this 7 + years and I have an extensive background on currencies, stocks, etc. I see so much of the original investment being turned into what people want to hear...including "what Shabibi says...". Not knocking this post at all, very well done Rod. I think we just need to be able to prove what Shabs said because I havnt ever seen him actually make these statements. What I have seen is guru after guru interpret his statements into what you are now thinking there were. Thanks to anyone with a link!

There are some serious sanctions going on with Iran and Syria right now so for anyone to even question the in-person visit is absurd. Could it be that the guy really , truly, went to Iran to discuss something OTHER than the RV? Sorry for the sarcasm, but ist frustrating to read the news and every single article has comments about an imminent RV. I notice others have been sharing the same opinion on other threads. Not everything is negative is smoke, not everything positive means RV, and there are hundreds of other important issues going on in the world other than the RV - Irans sanctions right now is pretty darn important and we should all watch how seriously this could affect us in the US.

It also could be that Parl. Finally approved the new currency with the Kurdish language on it...which will also take some time to be fully implemented.

I feel its Erbil, which is why its focused on making the Kurds so happy...and it will take awhile for Erbil to be fully implemented so it makes perfect sense.

FYI, I randomly decided to see if my account was still active at BL's site....to which it was spelled out in front of me "YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED FROM THIS SITE." Its good for us that theya re contining to meet, but it may not be good for those who actually believe Ch 7 would be lifted at the Summit. There is still alot more to do than just one meeting would accomplish...but it's good that they continue to meet rather than argue and put it off.

With all due respect, there have been numerous articles in the past several months that stated "in the coming days" the rate would be changed....obviously it does not mean "in two weeks." I can't start partying yet, because if I have to wait till Sept or even longer I'll be all partied out. Been there, done that, for YEARS! No more getting high hopes anymore until it happens...the main necessities are not done yet.
