  1. Aritech- that's a very a interesting comment you made. It certainly makes me wonder what the credit card company knows that we don't - which brings of a second thought to mind regarding insider trading, but I'll save the latter for another post. Just to be clear, if I understand your post correctly, there is a credit card company out there accepting payments in Iraqi dinar Thats absolutely huge if true as therr has to be nearly a moutain of paperwork to complete and submit in order for the company to be able to do so. Either way, the bottom line is still the same: why would the company accept Iraqi dinar - or even want it for that matter?
  2. Yota- thanks again for your relentless efforts in keeping all of us up-to-date with your vontinuous posts. It's nice to see Iraq is starting to catch on by realizing the need to address corruption in the manner described in the above article. In my opinion, this is one of the final steps that must be addressed before a change can be made in the value of the dinar. My guess is that the recent work documented about KPMG includes forensic accounting. It's been hypothesized by some that a change in value of the Iraqi dinar will be nearly simultaneous with implementation of HCL. I believe that the latter is still going to occur, and that ithe event is also going to coincide with a nearly simultaneous publicized statement regarding the arrest of those who stole and looted from the country. I know how frustrated I get at the thought of a former prime minister who had a documented annual salary of $15,000, now being recognized as one of the world's wealthiest people. I can only Imagine how frustrating it is for other high-ranking cifficials and for all citizens of Iraq who have been looted by Al-Maliki to kive with the unjustice that permeates their country, and how much they must yearn for justice. Despite the numerous efforts over the years by greedy officials charged with power to prevent the evolution of Iraq's trasiotion from a dictatorship to a capitalist sociery, the inertia of positive and legitimate progress is too great to stop and the completion of a unified government with an internatoonally recognized currency will soon resilt. Articles and publicized ststements regarding the need to stop the auctions and similar anti-corrupt viewpoints from Iraqi econonists and others are now appearing frequently after being virtually unseen for a decade, which is an awesome indicator of how far Iraq has come and where they presently are on their journey to true international status. Go RV!!!
  3. Thanks Yota-much appreciated. ... "all the blocs are dissatisfied with procrastination and failure to meet the government's obligations and there is talk in the corridors of the House of Representatives on the questioning of several ministers," They can add me (and many others from this site) to the list...it feels like there's behind the scenes inertia that's beginning to show itself in some of the articles of late...I just hope I'm right. Go RV!!!
  4. TexasMike1958- thanks for your post regarding Yota's count. Yota691- thanks for your continuous and relentlessness efforts over the years keeping all of us informed and up to date on this hopefully soon to be former exotic currency. I often wonder how you keep up the way you do, and the only thing that comes to mind is a movie which I believe is entitled 'Duplicity' and has Michael Keaton cloning himself comes to mind. Either way, thanks again!
  5. As the saying goes, "that's gonna leave a mark..." Thanks as always, Thugs, for another classic and memorable laugh!
  6. I dont think that this will happen; this seems like something that happened years ago actually (their threat that is.)
  7. That's an interesting link. I'd feel more comfortable if there was a real time visual. I suspect all Forex activity would be synchronized worldwide when it goes live, but it's a nice thought and strange things have happened.
  8. Pitcher- thanks for writing such a pleasant post which eloquently expresses what many so many of us feel- peace~
  9. Zul- thanks very much for your explanation - much appreciated. Things really feel like they are lining up - despite the resistance of some Iraqi government officials...(I recall reading an article on DV a couple of years ago in which the author said that everyone in Iraq - including himself - was corrupt. Hopefully things are starting to change.) I notice that the price of gas is continuing to rise in the northeast- and I certainly hope it correlates with an increase in the ppb and is further reflected with an increase in the IQD.
  10. 6lyr10- thanks very much for locating, highlightjng, and posting this article. Its extremely pleasant to see the viewpoint expeessed by the Minister Of Commerve regarding Baghdad, Erbil and Basra is as positive as it is - and that the article is dated April 12th 2019! This post is an awesome indicator of where we are and what's to come in regards to Iraq's presence and transition in the global economy~
  11. I really like the way this law was written (at least the portions of the text which I happened to read) I dont know how the language and structure in the Financial Management Law compares with the language and text in other Iraqi laws, but from my view, this law like it could be an excerpt from GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or some other U.S. accounting or law book. I'm curious if the text above was translated and what the original text looks like since it looks like if it was as it appears to be written from or with a western perspective ( ie, from an international point of view.) Hopefully this law was written or influenced by some of the international auditors referenced lately, as it would be a great indicator of where we are - and what's to come!
  12. Thanks for posting this mylilpony- this is a great find. I appreciate your comment regarding Article 35 as well, which is probably the next best thing to cliff-notes!
  13. Beautiful - This reminds me of the second to last scene in "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly...."
  14. GreedyDinar07 and Karstan, Thanks very much for your posts, comments and link. I have to admit there is always more to learn and know when it comes to Iraq and this exotic currency. The last thing I want to see is the Iraqi Dinar remain at a low post-war rate....(post-war currency rates are worth investigating)...for an even longer extended period of time. In any event, despite the track record that Iraq has had since 2003, and the problems you both mention, there is still another variable to consider: Trump. Just look at what he did with North Korea (despite the track record that all former US presidents.had.) I recall seeing an article in 2014 or 2015 in which Trump said we should simply take Iraq's oil. At some point- and hopefully soon...(hopefully by June - wasn't that what someone's energy healer predicted...?) the rest of the world (Idan and Iraq) is going to know that they can no longer go about their way rhe way they did when Obama (and John Kerry) were around......
  15. Thanks very much Adam,- for the last couple of uplifting weekly updates,- and for your continuous effort over the years to keep us informed , grounded, and prepared for what's to come! Iraq's momentum toward a capitalist society from that of a dictatorship certainly appears to have accelerated over the past couple of years; and I don't believe that the recently expressed concern regarding Iraq's influence on Iran's sanctions is going to impede the rate of progress. Delarue machines will identify counterfeit currency and minimize attempted fraud, and forensic accountants and international auditors will eventually get the chance to bring justice to the thieves (at least the major ones) who posed under the guise of legitimate Iraqi officials...
  16. Good morning DV, Thugs, thanks again for the laugh! Now then...years ago (a decade actually) I got as suckered into signing up with a Wall Street group that supposedly had a special tabular rate of success picking stocks.....24 hours after signing up, I re-considered and demanded my money back, which I actually received thanks in part to Bank Of America (which is one of the very few benefits I recall banking with them...) A year or two later, I received an email from the FBI that seems similar to the one mentioned by above. The email contained information letting me know the outcome of a federal case involving a white CV kollar criminal. I was fortunate and didn't lose a dime but I'm sure others weren't as fortunate. My guess is that this is basic protocol for the agency, which isn't a bad thing at all. I am pretty certain there were a couple of ed mails in a short perio6of y i'mne, so f ok not be surprised if there's another on th he way. The way to e certain is to look up the case detail and search by party name in federal or state court. Something should show up....
  17. Thanks for another laugh,Thugs- much appreciated. I don't usually find physical falls comedic, but the gentleman in that clip looks unscathed; he didn't even lose his glasses! I hope you get some rest this month Adam - my male intuition says you are going to need it!
  18. Wishing you a happy, healthy and memorable birthday, Chuck - and many more...hopefully this is one for the record books!
  19. Yota691- thanks again for your continuous updates and efforts in keeping all of us continuously informed... ...and thanks Adam, for all your work over the years and for the suggestion to cliick on your name to see your recent posts and comments- Go RV!
  20. https://www.dailyfx.com/forex-rates Thanks bamastorm- you beat me to it. And once again Thugs- thanks for the laugh!
  21. Thanks for the HCL updates, Adam - - much appreciated. I for one could definitely use some 'good news' - and a lot of money for that matter. Go Rv!!!
  22. Adam, Happy belated New Year to you and your family as well as to all the mods and members who keep this site functioning at high and consistent quality. I like your perception taking into account the economics of oil. One certainly can't ignore the position Iraq has by not being part of a limiting agreement. I slso lkke the perception that chris smith pointed out (thanks Chris!) and the comments posted by others in this post. keylime, you are correct - oil was high a couple of years ago, but Iraq was still dealing with too many dasholes and the 'post maliki' recovery. I too have a good feeling about 2019 and truly hope that all those in need get the financial help they need from an increase in the artificially suppressed value of the dinar. Like many others, one of the things I like about Trump is his willingness to call things like they are as openly and easily as he does. I recall reading comments of his on this site in 2015 when he said we should just take the oil from Iraq and later comments when he called the Iraqi politicians thieves. I don't think he's going to put up with that behavior forever and am confident that he already has a plan in place to reimburse America as much as possible for the life, blood, time, money and effort we contributed to Iraq's benefit~ Go RV!!!
  23. ladyGrace'sDaddy- Thanks very much for your interesting and educating post - I really enjoyed reading it (along with everyone else's comments). Things have been lining up for quite a while - and the inertia feels like it's definitely increasing. I truly believe this is our year - and this month and the date of your birthday are fine with me~
  24. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Davis411- and to everyone else who commented in this thread this far. LaidBack- your statement was very well said. I recall looking at a website years ago called the Hodges report or something close to that. The name Dave Hodges sounds familiar. There were a lot of 'facts' that he said would all point to a China/Russian invasion about 5-6 years ago on the U.S.. soil, and some of it almost seemed plausible if you read his predictions from the perspective of an anxious or scared mind. (I personally recall having the feeling that any foreigners lucky enough to be on our soil would simply defect.) Obviously nothing came to pass that he spoke of - with the exception of dollars going to his bank accounts. There's a term referred to a fractional banking or something close to it, expressed in an article written by someone who claims to have made accurate predictions in the past regarding the housing collapse, who now predicts the dollar will fail as a reserve currency and be replaced by something even Trump can't stop. I recall a similar but different prediction being made about 6 years ago, which I read and shared with a friend of mine that never went to college but who happens to have a very clear-thinking mind. His response was that although others have been trying for decades to de-throne the dollar as a reserve currency, "the dollar would always be king." His reasoning and explanation are a bit off-topic but his answers were sound and I no longer have concerns which I used to have in that regard. I think 1:1 would be the way to go - or .86 for some other reasons- and would be happy with either one at the moment. There have been 2-3 times in the past 8 years when I could practically feel things going into motion regarding the lifting of the artificially imposed rate on the dinar, and it felt it was days or less away each time. Although the reality in retrospect of Maliki and the dasholes that followed was was unanticipated, it had to be dealt with. I personally think that the implementation of SWIFT codes and development in relations with the WTO, the IMF, oil contracts with countries that are considered 'new business for Iraq', the new and extended pipelines built within the last 4 years producing record volumes of output, international accounting and auditing standards for Arab nations being applied in Iraq, the release of new forms log currencies designed to prevent money laundering and fraud, and too many others to mention (well, article140 seems to be coming up a lot lately) since June 2017 are definitely more than coincidental. One additional piece of info that I consider to be indicative of Iraq being "open tor international business" pertains to an email that was shared with me - originally sent to an individual I know who happens to be associated with extreme wealth. Unfortunately, the association is limited to just that, as the individual is not a billionaire - many times over - as they should be, due to an unfair business deal few are aware of that took place between the US govt and a family member of theirs .I was privy to a copy of the document they received from the Iraqi government - just a few weeks ago - which refers to investment opportunities on a large-scale. The latter isn't a rumor but is a fact. I am not disclosing who the individual is for multiple reasons, but the important take away is the timing of the correspondence - and the fact that it's unprecedented.
