  1. Those are the things that we want to hear. He has very valid points about avoiding scams that are too good to be true, but he also is a bit misinformed. He talks about us doing our own due diligence, when plainly he has not done his own in regards to his article. The last third of his piece was about mortgages and delinquencys on foreclosures. What the H E double hockey sticks does that have to do with investing in the Dinar, other than don't spend more than you can afford.
  2. Couldn't be said any better than that. The policies that these banks are claiming to have will 180 when the time comes. They would be stupid not to, I mean after all, that is how they make money, off of us and the transactions that we do which includes currency exchanges.
  3. Well, Wichita Kansas is far from being a metropolis such as New York City, or Los Angeles. But to call it a "small town", that is just ridiculous. 400,000 or so population as of the 2010 census. However, even with a "town" of that size, going on the local news and blabbing about what you have financially is extremely moronic. Do you need attention? Do you want people to know where you live? Do you want the media to slant our investment so that more people jump on the bandwagon, or would you like them to scratch their heads and continue to call it a scam? I would rather they called it a scam than let everyone and their brother know that the IQD could quite possibly be a "pay dirt" investment, and have the masses that are not invested think it is a "penny stock" and stay away from it. The more people that jump into our ship, the worse shape we are going to be in when it does RV. Personally, I think it is a huge mistake to talk to the media at all, about anything. They always have an agenda that is quite different from what they actually tell you they are setting out to do, or report on. If they want to know about the IQD as an investment, et them do their own friggin homework as some of us do here. The information is out there, let them dig through it and decide what to say about it themselves. The less we speculators tell them the better.
  4. Holy mackerel, that story stinks. Armored cars? Now what on earth would you need an armored car for if the money was in the bank in the first place? Support vehicles? This just gets better and better every day. If these so called gurus ever find themselves jobless, they can always turn to fictional story telling. Who in their right mind would even think of using an armored car for their "cash in"?? Hello, that is like painting a bullseye on yourself. Just go to the bank or currency exchange location, and change it in. No need to go all "Italian Job" on it.
  5. This topic has been very interesting to follow thus far. Everyone here has brought a view that is similar but yet different from the one before, adding personal experiences, statistics, and some light hearted humor as well. Quite frankly, I feel that all of you have very valid points. However, there are a few things that I do not agree with as do some of you. For example, the Wyatt Earp reference, as fitting as it was to visualize a gun toting civilization in the old west being "disarmed" by request by a sworn law enforcement official when they enter town? That is no different than say the place I work at posting "Mattie's Bans Guns on These Premises". Do people follow that request? I for one do, as I follow the laws, however, just as in the "Old West", there are those that operate outside of the law and do what they choose to do. If there comes a time that I have to surrender my firearms because the 2nd Amendment is repealed/abolished, that is the day that I no longer cal the US my home. The stories that were given here are all deeply moving, and very sad. The girl with the abusive boyfriend in Detroit, the girl slain by a drunk driver. All of those could have ended differently if different choices had been made prior to those events. The girl could choose to leave the abusive boyfriend, the drunk could choose to call a cab. In the end, it all comes down to choosing what to do. Finish the argument with words of apology, or escalate it to violence with a gun, knife, fists, bat, etc. etc.. I am not trying to single any one of you that posted on this out, or pick on anyone. This subject has been the center of many discussions with myself, family and friends. I fit into Tiff's category of gun owners, 39/prior military/own multiple firearms. The reasons that I do are because I can, legally, and safely as I have been trained properly as every gun owner should. As for the criminals, well we far outnumber them. And yes, it is sad that firearms are used in violent crimes, but that in itself is not justification to change the constitution that our founding fathers put in place for us to follow. It is a comfort to me and the people that I know that we, the United States of America, has the largest armed "militia" the world may possibly ever know. If fills me with pride that we could defend ourselves from an invasion and quite possibly kick the crap out that force. Why? Because of the 2nd Amendment. It is not only in place to allow us to bear arms, but also to do what? "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." That to me screams to protect ourselves not only from foreign invaders, but from our own government should the need arise. "I'll give you my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead hands!"
  6. I think someone's Freudian Slip is showing....
  7. Arownious - so far everything that has been posted in reply to your concerns is spot on. Most of the DV members will tell you like it is, and guide you in your quest for dinarian knowledge. As for those other sites, if you really need a laugh, read them.....but remember to think of them as just the ramblings of "chattering monkeys" as someone put it so eloquently here in another post. There are so many different views as to what is going on that I know it can make you feel like it is never going to happen, or that they are completely nuts with what they post. Solar flares? I remember that one, that was waaaaaay out there. Just remember one thing, live your life as you normally do, and just let this happen. It eventually will.
  8. If you are insinuating that I believe what the so called Gurus at the other sites are spewing, you missed my point completely. I take everything that is passed here with a grain of salt, as ultimately none of us really know what the hell is going on other than what we read here in the forums. Although, some of us do our own homework, which is why I post the things that I do here. I call BS when I see it, or read it. And what Kool-aid is it that you think that I am drinking? We all have different beliefs about this speculation, none of us are going to completely agree as to when, what rate, how we will exchange for USD, etc etc etc.
  9. Double U Oh Double U. I really hope that none of what was said in this post was meant other than light hearted humor. Astral projection? Remote viewing? The men that stare at goats? I suppose the next step would be "hey rocky, watch me pull a rabbit outta my hat"......
  10. Oooookay. Because you're talking about today and tomorrow in your post, at 0147am about the 6th and 7th of January. Really? Clairvoyant much? And you know more than we do from our sofas being that you are where? Perhaps in Iraq as your name states, I could care less. It is comments like yours that make some of us at DV wonder why they are even here in the first place. Yes I know not everything is roses and perfect in Iraq, however, unless you provide us with something more than your opinion, you might as well be talking to yourself as we do not want to hear what you have to say if it is going to be "negative nancy" stuff. And no offense if your name is nancy DV friends!
  11. LOL! Crawdads and jambalaya! I laughed so loud I scared the cat on that one storm!
  12. Wow, that was probably the worst advice in this thread next to taking a gun with you to a bank. Dinar in a safe deposit box???? Are you nuts? Put it in your sock drawer or better yet under your pile of "ugly sweaters" in the closet on the top shelf. As for guns belonging in safes? If you have children, highly recommended, as for myself, there is one in about every room of my house that I can access in a heartbeat. Now I am by no means a gun freak, I have a very healthy respect for them, and spend about a day or two each month target shooting. To take one with you to a bank is just plain stupidity. Anyone that has a conceal carry permit knows there are certain places that are no no's for your sidearm. A bank? Well, if you really feel that you need the "security", hire one of us conceal carry holders to escort you to and from the bank, but for the love of everything that is good, do not go inside with one on you, unless you are a law enforcement officer, or a felon who could care less. These guys just get better and better with their advice to us.....don't they???
  13. I just wish that there were more of us that think that way, and see the world for how it really is and not how they tell us it is.
  14. randalln, I thank you and your your friend for this information. This thread took some very interesting turns along the way to post #556. I have no doubt that what you are telling us about misinformation campaigns is true, and I also have to believe that your story is true. There has always been talk among DV members about "smoke and mirrors" and when they say one thing, something completely different will happen. Well, with all the negative info that has been popping up since last week, this has been about the only good info that makes sense. As for all of the bashing and name calling that came with this thread.....I think people need to find a hobby other than being a troll on the DV forums.
  15. Oh wow! Someone was really dumb enough to say that to you? Really??? Well then they should just stop filling their banks with the US Dollar, because terrorists use that too! Along with drug dealers, and murderers, etc. etc. etc.. But then again, you're talking about a Wells Fargo employee as well. No offense to any DV members that may be one, but they are the reason I gave WF the one finger salute and removed ALL of MY money from their bank. Complete morons, horrible at customer service, however.....they will try to pitch any service to you as the "best thing since sliced bread". Idiots. Sorry for the vent, whomever said that to you was probably coached on what to say and extemporized a bit by saying what they felt about the IQD. Either way, go to the airport anyways. Travelex or any other currency exchange will treat you heaps better than a bank.
  16. That scenario should NEVER HAPPEN with any of you when this RV/RI does take place. Haven't you been paying attention to the NO NO's when cash in time comes? One would be drawing any kind of attention to yourself. I would think that being interviewed by any sort of media would qualify as that. As for the "running around and spending & reviving the economy", be very discrete about what you buy at first. Never forget that you will have what everyone else wants, and lots of it. So sure, go spend your new found fortune on some crazy shite, draw attention to yourself so everyone and their brother comes out of the woodwork with their hands out asking for just that, a handout. Now, this is just my suggestion, as it is what I am going to do. I am going to follow, not quite exactly, the instructions that have been posted here in DV numerous times about POST RV things you should do/not do. There is no reason whatsoever that any of us investors of this speculation should ever show our faces on the news regarding this. Why would you want to feed one of the monsters that is destroying our country? Take care of you and your own, donate to your church/charity of choice. Pay your bills, wipe away your debt, set some aside for kids/grandkids, take a trip or two, but most of all, still be yourselves. Money changes people.....I have lost a few friendships because of it. It changes you when you go from Mr./Ms. hourly wage worker, making less than most or equal, to OMFG!!! I have a truckload of money now!!! Stay grounded, even AFTER the RV/RI......you will be very glad that you did.
  17. Well, thanks for the sarcastic remark, however there is no law pertaining to the amount of cash that one can carry on them in the United States. There are however, ramifications for how much you do carry and you cannot provide proof as to where it came from. So it is NOT illegal to carry more than 10,000 dollars US on your person. There is nothing to stop you from doing so, other than would you really want to carry more than that around with you. And yes, part of what I was explaining was about leaving or entering the country and customs, which does pertain to this as that it is the only LAW regarding having 10,000 USD on your person in the US. Now if you want to get really educated on it, and go deeper into the magical figure of 10,000 USD, I can provide you with some FDIC laws, and banking issues that may arise if you have a transaction of 10,000 USD or more to handle. § 1010.330 Reports relating to currency in excess of $10,000 received in a trade or business. (a) Reporting requirement--(1) Reportable transactions--(i) In general. Any person (solely for purposes of section 5331 of title 31, United States Code and this section, "person" shall have the same meaning as under 26 U.S.C.7701(a)(1)) who, in the course of a trade or business in which such person is engaged, receives currency in excess of $10,000 in 1 transaction (or 2 or more related transactions) shall, except as otherwise provided, make a report of information with respect to the receipt of currency. This section does not apply to amounts received in a transaction reported under 31 U.S.C. 5313 and Sec. 1010.311, 1010.313, 1020.315, 1021.311 or 1021.313 of this chapter. (ii) Certain financial transactions. Section 6050I of title 26 of the United States Code requires persons to report information about financial transactions to the IRS, and 31 U.S.C. 5331 requires persons to report similar information about certain transactions to FinCEN. This information shall be reported on the same form as prescribed by the Secretary. (2) Currency received for the account of another. Currency in excess of $10,000 received by a person for the account of another must be reported under this section. Thus, for example, a person who collects delinquent accounts receivable for an automobile dealer must report with respect to the receipt of currency in excess of $10,000 from the collection of a particular account even though the proceeds of the collection are credited to the account of the automobile dealer (i.e., where the rights to the proceeds from the account are retained by the automobile dealer and the collection is made on a fee-for- service basis). Reads like stereo instructions doesn't it?
  18. Okay, so if the above was written without knowledge or facts, why are we supposed to look up this so called law? The only law pertaining to 10,000 dollars US and carrying it on you is IF you are traveling out of the country or into the country. Declaring that money as your own. As for the police comment? No reason for them to take it from you, UNLESS, you are in the possession of an illegal substance, having a firearm in your possession as a felon, or you have a warrant for your arrest which they will gladly confiscate your money and give you a nice receipt for it, and then give you a check when you are released from lock up. How do I know this? A county sheriff = very good friend of mine, half a dozen correction officers = drinking buds. Not only that, but do your homework before "educating" the rest of us.
  19. Did anyone else notice that Bulldog repeats himself over and over again instead of answering the questions asked of him, as if the answers are "canned"? I don't believe a word of what he/she says, however it is great entertainment to see how all the sheeple over "there" react to his rantings. As for the "89.99% 99.91%" reference, isn't that Freeways thing?
  20. "They were told to consider the obligations that they have made, and the importance of follow through." That comes across as military jargon to me. Being a veteran, USMC 1990-1994, to me it sounds like he is referring to something that was told to the soldiers given in maybe an order or as a "heads up" on how to conduct ones self regarding the IQD, or any other event that would jeopardize their contract as a soldier. From a soldiers point of view, hell yeah grab as much IQD as you can before you leave, so when it does RV, no worries! But from that soldiers' C.O. etc etc's point of view, you have an obligation as a soldier to fulfill your contract.
  21. Seriously, I ask a legitimate question, and I get a negative? Either you have no positive input to provide, or you totally misunderstood the question. I asked that question because I DO NOT keep my money in a bank, and as far as "cashing in" goes, when the time comes, there is not a bank on this planet that I feel deserves my money.......but if you are going to give me a negative, at least have the backbone to say why. I would much rather hear what you have to say about it, as I do like a good debate!
  22. What about "cashing in" in small amounts? I have plenty of IQD, so if I were to say take a few 25k notes in here and there, they WOULD not or COULD not give me 25k in USD if it were at 1:1? Minus the spread of course. HAHAHA!!! I just re read what I posted and it had sort of a Dr Seuss feel to it. Awesome! My subconscious can be a freak sometimes!
  23. And I think that HopefulTxn has pointed out the painfully obvious as well.........
  24. Two words for some of you.....Alex Jones.
