I got .90 dinar to $1 also (900,117,000 dinar divided by 1,000,000,000 dollars) or $1.11:1 Dinar ($1 divided by .900117 Dinar)

July 2012, Chpt 7 comes up for review again in June. With Kuwait giving the "We want them out of 7... blah blah" routine, the UN might be influenced to get the proper paper work together, and signed by the end of the extension. Then the process starts, per my own opinion obviously.
As far as lop vs rv... all i want is an end result.

IMO, I think they will wait until the end of the extension, June. Just to confirm this isn't a claim built on the false hopes of Kuwait built on false promises made by the GOI just to get this type of press release, to influence the UN on their release from Chapter 7.

When are they supposed to meet again on chapter 7? I thought they postponrd it for 6 months back in December. So that puts us at May or June I would imagine before any sanctions are lifted. I am only guessing, but late May, early June would put them in line with a 90 trade in window of the old currency, to be completed in September. If my interpretation of the articles is correct (which it probably isn't)) September looks to be the most likely 3zero phase 3 start date. I dunno, hope this makes sense, the lovely female on the treadmill in front of me is jacking up my concentration...

Like soooo many others, you are doing the math wrong. We all own IQDs, so we want to know to know the exchange rate in terms of dollars per dinar ($/IQD) with the RV rate in the numerator (top) and ONE IQD in the denominator (bottom) of the fraction. Right now, the exchange rate rate is 1IQD = $.00086. When you take out the 3 zeros from the exchange rate, then the exchange rate ratio would become 1IQD = $.86. When you state the exchange rate is .86IQD = $1.00. You've inverted the numbers, and when you do the math, instead of getting .86 ($.86/1) for the correct exchange rate, you get it's inverse of $1.17 ($1/.86 IQD).
Regardless, if it's $.86 per dinar, I'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

For arguments end sake, when the RV is done, how about you back up your speech with some proof that you don't practice religion like a Catholic Priest** or a Borgia Pope.

But Adam....just not buying that you can't find out what is meant by "removing the zeros" ....you have in country contacts that speak the language to overcome the translation issue, tied into the CBI if not in the CBI. Surely, some one can tell you what is meant by this phrase which is in hundreds of news articles coming out of Iraq. And of course I understand that the CBI or Iraqi gov is not going to send out an announcement in advance saying an RV is coming....but that was not my point for asking the question. My point was, the news has covered this topic many times, it's no secret by any means.....yet no one seems to understand what these three little words actually means? "Remove the zeros" ???? If the Iraqis are putting out news articles with these words in the headlines, SOME ONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO TRANSLATE THE ARTICLES AND TELL US WHAT THEY MEAN FROM THE STANDPOINT OF ANY IRAQI WHO IS READING THEM? How is it possible that hundreds of articles over periods of months have been in the Iraqi news, yet WE can't get one single literate person to translate them correctly for us????? This makes no sense to me at all. Not being disrespectful, just saying
It also seemed like you blew off my question rather flippantly, which I don't understand because this topic seems to be a key one when it comes to the RV and one that the pumpers use to try and influence people. If we knew the meaning, I'm guessing we could dispell or ignore a good portion of the hype and stick to the facts. JMO

The debate is rather pointless in my opinion. Its a dead horse that has been repeatedly beaten arguing about a future that no one knows.
