So after all of that what I got was the big news was that the minister positions are now filled? If that is the big news I don't feel that a big fuss should have been made over that just to get people fired up. There is a lot of debate as to whether or not that even has anything to do with the RV am I right or wrong? Even if it does there is still a lot to be done to make the RV happen just as Adam posted per your link so again I ask is this just more smoke and mirrors? I have only heard from the ones that agree with me here... where are all of the Adam fans to tell me I'm wrong? I hope I am that is why I have invested and still keep it. I do believe it will happen but another fake fire drill is not what we need. Give me SOMETHING other than oops my bad I guess it wasn't the big flood that we thought was comming but thanks for getting on board and buying your ticket early.

I might be stirring up some stuff here but I'm going to ask the question. If I'm not mistaken didn't Adam make a 10 day prediction that "Something Big" was comming? I know that doesn't mean RV but in the past 2 weeks has ANYTHING worth talking about really happened? If so please fill me in if not I know Adam is held in such high regards in this place is it based on faith alone or does anyone have an explanation. JMO but this seems again like more smoke signals that just disappeared in the wind preceeded by a "last minute add" for us to become VIP before it's too late... did you bite?

Anyone that thinks ANY GOVERNMENT can't and won'd do something is totally living in a dream world. Look at what our government has done and continues to do. For example: bailouts, worthless stimulas, taking our currency off of the gold standard - get the picture? Politicians do not have much backround in economics and even the economists usually don't agree between themselves. Politicians will be guided and swayed by whatever THEY WANT to believe and ultimately what will in their mind bring THEM the most glory that they can take credit for and leave their mark on history.

JG I think you misunderstood my point... I'm not saying anyone is manipulating the money system. The original question was if Iraq isn't worth as much as their debt will be to repay all of this then where do they get the money from? Answer - it's called credit. Just as we keep getting money from China to pay our debts so do other countries. Don't think for a minute that the U.S. will straight up "cash in" all of their dinar. You can bet that if and when this thing goes down they have some options on repayment or an inside track to future business dealings with Iraq whether it be negotiated terms of oil prices or contracts for business and trade.

Common people this is 3rd grade math at best.... lets simplify. Suppose the IQD is an apple. If it takes $1 to by only 1/4 of an apple (.235 pretty close to 1/4) how many dollars does it take to buy the whole thing? ANSWER: it takes just over $4 to buy that apple... in this case you would have to spend $4 to buy 1 Dinar therefore the rate of the Dinar is just over $4... I'm sorry if I make anybody mad with this but I'm having a bad day and these crazy talks of rates and trying to make things harder than it is really has me PO'd... Now when am I getting my GD expensive apples!!!

I know it shows I'm a newbie but that's b/c I just joined last week but have been following this website for months. Possum is someone who just likes to post rediculus things just to get attention... I think he's kinda like the screamin jesus guy or the crazy guy you see on the street always dancing, talking to himself, and screamin at cars as they drive by. You always think it's stupidity but you still have to laugh a little... someday though the screamin jesus dude will be right and possum will be too but most wont believe him then.

Sorry but this is really bothering me right now. I have never read this string before but I just did because now I am officially a "newbie". I have been following these debates for over 7 months now and have just never registered. Finally I decided that I wanted to put in my 2 cents worth just like in this case. I am going to stick up for the NEWBIES now because the comment the comment that newbies keep bringin up topics like LOP and How can Iraq afford IMO is fine because there are several advanced members still arguing those points and one side says they can and one says they can't and depending on the day a person might be influenced because they just went with the side that posted that day instead of asking the question and hearing the debate.

They wont have to just like our government still pays government contracts and people still get wellfare... (Paper) money is an illusion. It is nothing more than a physical presence based on things you can't necessarily see or touch like electricity for instance. It can't be held but doesn't mean it has no worth. We will just become to them like China now is to us... most of our money will be transfered electronically it is basically virtual worth.
