  1. Great article. I'd like to suggest that when the federal monies stop flowing to the states, that the states will better be able to use the tax dollars previously sent to the feds by their citizens, and will have money left over. Get rid of the feds, state by state, and we will bloom, and become wealthy again. Then we can band together again, to create a federal government whose only purpose is to defend our borders, and tarriff imports to pay for it. As it should be. Everything else should be managed at the state level. Property tax could go away...won't need it. It's a win win, as long as we have enough citizens to fight our now home-pointed security forces. For right now, every citizen and non citizen who can must go on the government teat so that the feds can crash hard and fast.
  2. The faster we crash and the harder we crash the faster we rise without Obummer our oppressor.
  3. Totally accepted. I really don't mean to sound like I'm complaining. I'm trying not to live in fear, and to trust God to meet our needs...my fear comes from the understanding that what He considers my needs and what I consider my needs are two quite different things. Otherwise believers wouldn't have been burnt at the stake in the first century. There was a certain type of federal tax "restructuring" done to employee owned companies that took effect for this year, and one of those companies is the source of most of our household income at this time, and their available revenues are less than half of what they were a year ago. We're being laid off even though the job is not done. Plus, it turns out that the reason I've been sick for three years with skyrocketing uninsured medical expenses, it turns out that our house has stachybotrys mold and is going to cost tens of thousands to fix, and we are fully mortgaged with no end in sight, and no position to buy a different home, or even rent. Right now we're housesitting and next week we're moving in with a friend. I got pneumonia because this house is dusty. We're seeing a "trickle down" slowing of the economy that continues to affect people at the bottom with unemployment. So when people who make over $250K annually have to pay significantly higher taxes, that concerns me, because they spend less on the services of businesses like mine. I'm really not spouting rhetoric from Fox News. I'm really telling you what I'm witnessing happen. Where I live could easily become a ghost town if private businesses are not stimulated by tax breaks, instead of overtaxed, never mind our personal problems that would be devastating in a good economy. In spite of it all I seem to have tapped into a source of Joy that I can't explain. I have to go in and get my lungs blasted with "lipid peroxide" because I've been fighting pneumonia for two weeks and can't take antibiotics. It's a cheap treatment at $65 each, three times a week. So that's where I'm at, with no time to post.
  4. Well, it has happened to me. I'm another one for whom the healthcare costs alone are already in place and threatening my business and my way of life and the employment of those I love. I really think it's rude of you to tell people who are on the brink of total financial meltdown to quit whining. When you come around expressing some need or concern, I'll be sure to tell you to shut up, we don't want to hear it. I thought more of you as a person. I think I was mistaken.
  5. Just exactly how do you propose not paying all that extra tax?
  6. Those of us not on the the dole are out working twice as hard for half as much due to the political landscape of the last four years. It's all good. I will win.
  7. Well that was nothing short of rude. You know where you can shove your rude opinion about me. I wasn't complaining or looking for sympathy. I call my mother and talk to her for an hour or more at a time twice a week because I want to. There is nothing whatsoever wrong with my priorities. And sometimes, for a stretch or time, I do call her every day, not that that's any of your business. The post was about Facebook and the way it makes it possible to stay in touch with just a few moments. Nobody but my mom is going to get that kind of time from me. I owe her my life, and she raised me right. If she'd come, I'd move her in with me.
  8. Yep. A chick, and I like dudes. And I'm white, and a conservative Christian. A true minority these days! Just try to overlook the foul mouth from time to time. I'm a work in progress.
  9. I must apologize, I stopped to respond after this phrase, because clearly you didn't read my post. No point reading the rest of yours, because your response to my post was on a false premise. First line: Companies are stretched to the snapping point thru the burden of increased regulation and government meddling to the point that they cannot afford to operate. I think he gets it just fine. I think he is here to tank us. I think he hates America and Americans. I think he wants to run us into the ground until we're a third world country. That's the only explanation that makes any sense. I'm just hoping we accomplish the crash on his watch. JMHO.
  10. Excellent. Then they'll be very interested about the things I post about probiotics and how bad for you perfume is, and how much I enjoyed a certain movie, and the great chocolate chip recipe I made this week with sprouted brown rice flour. And of course, the condolences I received when my father passed. If people are reasonably smart, FB poses no threat. I'm a woman. And a little sassy, too!
  11. I suppose it depends on how you define fascination. I check in on Facebook several times a day. Every friend I have on this earth uses Facebook as a social connection device, which is one of the things FB is, except my mother. Her, I have to phone. And man, it takes so much time. Twice a week. I'm personally fascinated by the lives of my friends. People will post silly updates, talk about what they did, saw, felt, and think is important in a way they won't do by email or on the phone, or even in person. It makes it possible for me to feel connected to loved ones that are ten thousand miles away. I get to rant on when I need to and make important notices about my life for my loved ones. People complain about not keeping up with me, and I tell them to get on FB if they want to follow what's going on, I don't have time to update everyone individually. I'm a busy productive woman. Except for tonight. I'm wasting time explaining this. So in just 5 or 15 minutes a day, I can check up on everybody and see what they're up to, and find any good news (or bad) I need and totally skip that fascination most people seem to have with the newspaper and the nightly news, and save a huge amount of time and stress. I hope that helps.
  12. Companies are stretched to the snapping point thru the burden of increased regulation and government meddling to the point that they cannot afford to operate. The whole point of business is to provide a product or service, create jobs, and produce profit. When the government interferes so that businesses can't operate, they shut down. All these companies, and thousands are likely to follow in their footsteps, are shutting their doors on the DAY following the election and it's just a coincidence? No, my dear liberal friends, it's not a coincidence. They were hanging on to the end of the tether hoping and praying that a businessman would be put in charge of making the rules so that there was hope of recovery. The re-election of Obama just nailed the lid on the coffin of the hope of their success, since he has a whole team of people dedicated to the proposition of creating more rules to hamper business in every possible way and destroy our GNP. Like I said before, I hope every last employee gets on the dole as fast as possible and crashes his reign so fast he won't know what slapped him down. Get the crash done, do it hard, and get it over, so we can start to rebuild. We've already passed the tipping point, IMO, so just quit the delay. The best gift we can give the American people is the complete and abysmal failure of our economy while under Obama's wretched reign so he can at least be blamed for it and he can be observed by all, for all history, as the man who destroyed America.
  13. And I hope that every last employee goes and gets on food stamps and welfare. I read somewhere, I think Sgt. Fury, suggested that we respond in this way. If I were hi-jacked, I would get the car up to speed and run it into a tree, while trying to pop the seatbelt of my hi-jacker. If suddenly 80% of the US instead of 47% becomes takers, the system would crash, would crash hard, and we could end this miserable ride more quickly, and effect real change. I actually think this might be the best route to effective revolution. In any case, it might get that POS out of office more quickly as he's tried for treason. As they say, this would be one way to just rip off the bandaid instead of pulling it off slowly and painfully as we're doing now. Any other thots on what would happen if we did this?
  14. This was the most awesome post I read this week. I'm sure of it. The rest of ya's, go back and read it!!! I do think that source of that inner strength should be Christ, but other than the rather humanistic way it's expressed, I think it's a good expression of what Christ came to bring us.
  15. Yellowbellied chickens that won't use their respectable identities to post should be banned, all identities included. Kind of like all the dead voters? Kind of like there were...don't quote me, I'm not sure I have the #s right...but wasn't it 300,000 more voters turned out to vote in California than they have residents?
  16. I told you guys to stock up on K-Y. Not to make light of this, but now we're really going to see what this evil man is capable of, and willing to do to our precious freedom.
  17. Thanks Dive. I'm going thru it again...another round of pneumonia. Not moving far from my bed. And we didn't win the election, so I'm double depressed. It looks like the pathogens have been successfully cultivated.
  18. I'm going to go with election fraud. There is no way the American people can be this stupid. This is the only thing that makes me feel better. I gotta go. I'll have to work twice as hard for half as much, just to make ends meet for me, my family, and all the takers that voted for Obummer. And to think I half planned a vacation I thought I would be able to afford.
  19. I agree with you. Unfortunately, we needed more time. Or an RV. I could be ready pretty quick with an RV. Of course, when they storm my camp, it's all over anyways. But at least we got to try.
  20. There's no chance of that whatsoever. Obama economics doesn't use real math.
  21. All I can say is that I really think I'm going to throw up. I don't think this country will be able to survive another four years of O. In another four years, we'll be something else, entirely. Imagine, given how close this race was...if everyone could have possibly united behind the opponent against Obama, we would have kicked that ASS to the curb. But the hard independents will never budge...and so we get another 4 years of a POTUS who hates America.
  22. I've been super busy! I don't have as much time to goof off around here like I did when I was really sick, and now that I'm half well I'm working like a crazy person. However, today has been designated as a "lay around day" which we really need more than a "day off" where we'll do chores around the house. I didn't even cook breakfast today we had homemade raw granola! I'm loving my new life. I'm so glad I got done waiting for this RV. Of course, I'm completely willing to shift and make use of the money should it suddenly explode on us!
  23. I agree. I think we have to be prepared for what he will do in his last 75 days at POTUS even when he is voted out. He has a great deal of power. Lame duck sessions should not be allowed. They should be constitutionally prevented to protect America. Not only that, there is a huge risk that he will do something that will interrupt the election. If he can stop the election, he will be dictator for 50 years. I think we're so close that the risk is less than it was; I think he had the perfect opportunity with that Benghazi mess and missed it. Instead, we have a liberal controlled media, and polls showed that 70% of Americans don't even know that one of our Ambassadors was killed. The only thing we can do now is pray. It is the most powerful thing we can do. God can turn the minds and hearts of men, and Jonah is just one quick example of how he doesn't let them get away when He decides who will be His.
  24. I teach classes in Health and Nutrition, and yesterday we gathered to learn all about traditional pickling, or lacto-fermentation. AKA making probiotic foods at home. In part of the class we discuss bacteria, and we were talking about how the good bacteria that are beneficial and support human life are about 85%, and the pathogenic ones, or disease causing ones, are about 15% of them. The good ones are fragile, and are easily killed, and the pathogenic ones are sturdy and resistant and tough to kill, and that was before any of them became "super bugs". Another interesting factoid is that good bacteria are slow to get going and multiply, and the pathogenic bacteria are very quick to multiply and spread. Pathogenic bacteria aren't super good at killing good bacteria, and good bacteria's job is to keep the pathogens in check. On an even playing field, the good bacteria will always win. When we use antibacterial products that don't break down, like bleach, the chemicals in antibacterial bathroom cleaners, and the Triclosan in antibacterial handwashing agents, we are doingourselves and our ecology a huge disservice, and upsetting this delicate balance. Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide are wonderful antibacterials that don't harm the environment, and remove pathogens we want to control in the kitchen and bathroom. So quit using that commercialized toxic crap. It's not good for you. Anyway, the correlation that occurred to me is the constitution of this board. There are more conservatives than liberals. We are slower to get going and join the fight. Presumably because we are gainfully engaged and don't have as much "fluff" time on our hands. Liberals are always available to jump in there and fight hard, but there is notably fewer of them on this board. So for all the liberal pro-Obama blather that goes on and seems to have an upper hand early on....the conservatives show up and smack them with the truth, and the truth prevails. Just like in nature. Anyway, I kind of thought it was interesting. And really. Quit buying toxic antibacterial products.
