Well, they can't say they weren't warned. It'll happen any where if someone gets close enough to a US Navy ship. That's the cost of lessons learned in the past....when insurgents attacked one of our ships with explosives. I support our military, in every way, shape and form.

Well, I'm surely not an expert, but their currency is set way too low by the IMF for them to have an internationally tradeable currency. They're going to have to RV, sooner or later. They'll also need to RV so the residents can quit using the USD and start using their own currency. GO RV !!!

I know this is off the original subject, but I don't believe for a minute that elite people will cash in at a higher rate than the rest of us. I really feel that once the RV is announced, it'll be the same rate across the board for everyone. If the cash in rate changes, hopefully at a higher rate, it'll change for all. Just my opinion. I agree with you.... Adam is pretty much the only one I'll trust with any information about the IQD. After working in the Middle East for 5 years, I also feel that nothing will be done during Ramadan. If the IQD would RV during this month long period, I will be pleasantly surprised. If we're close to RV, then to me it should happen AFTER Ramadan, so I'll be looking for an RV after this period, which should end around the 18th or 19th of August...depending on which cleric you listen to. I'm sure the Iraqi people would love to each have $860. The truth of this is most of the Iraqi people are very poor and live by what means they can. I was in Iraq for 3 years, and I know that when they worked and made maybe $150 a month, they considered that an excellant job.

If Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz, they're going to find themselves in a world of crap. Not only will our Navy attack, but I'm sure it'll give Israel the excuse and opportunity to help make Iran a nice big parking area.

I agree Luigi. Seems to me they haven't even tried to do anything until the Americans started to pull out. They need to quit getting "breastfed" (excuse the example) by other countries and start getting on the bandwagon. Why should they do the work if others are doing it for them? People need to realize this. GO RV !!!

I also agree. Iraq has been dragging their feet from the beginning. It took the US to start pulling out before they started to do things for themselves. Not trying to be negative, but just stating the facts. Personally, I would love the IQD to RV. But I can't see how Iraq can militarily protect themselves, so I really can't see them getting out of Chapter VII anytime soon. I can only hope I'm wrong and they RV soon. God bless you all.
