  1. Why is this posted in the news section, rather than rumor. I did not see or understand any factual news in this writing.
  2. Adam, do you see the creation of a national oil company affecting us positively at this time since they are taking their own sweet time with the signing of an acceptable --- oh dang my chemo brain, I am totally blank now --- all of you not affected by noxois chemicals surely know the law I'm reffering to, as we discuss it frequently on this site. Adam, you certainly must know what I am referring to, the oil and gas law. If a national bank was set up with the owners every citizen of Iraq, that would include the Kurds, and they would benefit fairly from it. Either bond lady or that thugish clown was referring to it in an article a day or so ago. My question to you, Adam, do you see the creation of such a bank something that would push them into an RV. I am sorry I am sounding to disjointed today.
  3. I am really ready to party. Hubby is groaning at cost of renewing OSI, which I consider critical. He has agreed to renew this year, but if we don't get to put our party clothes on and dance in the hallways this year, I will have a harder time confincing him for next year. If this doesn't come through for us soon, I might need some help from y'all to make him see the light. Since we have several million at steak here, OSI is crucial. I really like the news I have been reading, so I have kept buying.
  4. Sorry, Boozer, but I am right there with you. I could use a translator.
  5. I will add you to my prayer list, K98. I've been there, too. Disability is not a living wage, but I have now been able to add SS to it. Still, things will be much better with the RV. Second reading is tomorrow, and I am very hopeful.
  6. Adam, Concerning the agency that gave the B- credit rating to Iraq, I have read in several sources that it was Fitches. As that is not one that either myself or my husband are familiar with, I can say no more about it, but if you or anyone else on this site is familiar with it, I would welcome reading about it.
  7. Adam, I had read some weeks back how al-Abadi was cleaning house, with the result that a number of people were out of a job. Have you heard or read what progress is being made on filling those positions, hopefully with people who have integrity. Are there positions in the GOI that will need to be filled before the RV. I was thinking we just needed the HCL, but I also remembering you saying some time back that the GOI also needed to be filled.
  8. If the reforms are actually voted in, and then actually activated very soon, then Kurdistan might be more interested in passing the HCL.
  9. So honestly, guys - who really wants to sit around watching some guy chew with his mouth open? I can find better things to do with my time.
  10. Frank, going back to the very top of this post, did you mean to say 'well handed' derriere, or 'well handled' derriere?
  11. I have heard that you will be closing VIP a short while before an RV is anticipated. When your sources start exciting you enough, the VIP section will be closed off to new members in anticipation of all the work you and the moderators will be needing to do to handle the post RV. I am already platinum, so am not concerned, just curious if you think the VIP will be closed to newcomers shortly. Nothing at all against newcomers, but I am anxiously awaiting the closing, as it seems it would indicate that even you, Buzzy, will be wildly excited at the seemingly promise of a close RV. I understand, that even with all of that happening, there will be no guarantees, as Iraq will still be Iraq.
  12. At least with Maliki out, we have a lot more hope - al Abadi seems more intent on getting things done. He has already accomplished more in a year than Maliki did in all the years he was in office.
  13. Many of us (myself included) depend on this weekly chat because we can expect a realistic, non B.S. look at what is going on and where we are. As to your personal opinions, Adam, for those of us following this site as long as I have been, they were not as guarded or held as tightly to your chest as you seem to think. I saw through to them a number of years ago. I happen to be on board with most of them. They have never gotten in the way of your giving a realistic update. Keep up the good work, I'm behind you all the way, VIP and Platinum.
  14. I think it will be ultimately necessary to stop ISIS, which is vital for all of us to do. I just wish we had a competent leader, and sensable rules of engagement. There is no point in going in for a fight if you are not playing to win.
  15. So how strong a candidate is this Tarek Najm? What do we know about him?
  16. Hey, this is Iraq. Hang in there. Things will change again. Don't start papering your room yet. Actually, if you do, use wallpaper, I would be glad to relieve you of some of your dinar if you have lost all faith in the RV. I still think it is just around the corner. The fun and games over there might delay it some more, but it I think it still will come.
  17. Couple interesting items in the new (not rumor) department indicate a couple different movements might be taking place over there now with the extreme violence and instability, and Maliki might be removed for his failure to get any handle on the problem. His idea of handling it is yelling and pleading to us. His countrymates likely realize by now that 'Bama cannot be counted on, and certainly isn't likely to do anything timely or right. Be interesting to see how that plays out. The Kurds are now in full, undisputed control of Kirkut, which they must be overjoyed about. They are not likely to give it up without a fight.
  18. Count me in. I still consider it a good investment - consider me a diehard if you must, I'm in for the long haul.
  19. Since we know it is not true about the IRS disappearing, and there is no way we can afford to go on the gold standard, as we don't have anywhere near enough gold to cover all the debt we have accumulated, and our crazy leaders wanting to print more cash so we can go even deeper in debt, I see no reason to believe the rv news stated here, either.
  20. Play nice, folks, this is family time. I reckon he'll catch us up during chat this Wednesday, now that holidays are about over. Actually, I think we are all just playing the waiting game. Not much more we can do. Next move belongs to Shabs.
