We have not received 6% in over a year on savings accounts. The last fiscal year was at 5.5%. So they at least are updating their web page! I'm anxious for confirmation on the issuance of CD's once again. The published rates are pretty good. But I'm looking for double digits!

My request 1/4 2016 to buy CD's from Warka was denied. Mr issa e-mailed back telling me until the CBI sets the new savings and CD rates for Warkas rehab, they would not be issuing. Looks like I'm going to request a CD purchase again!

Update; Mr. Issa returned a reply that until the new interest rates for CD's are determined as part of the CBI rehabilitation, none will be issued. And a Thank You for being a loyal supporter of Warka Bank. I thought that was the best reply yet from Warka Bank.

2 weeks ago I sent in a letter requesting the purchase of Certificates of Deposit for 6 months and 1 year. This will lock up 90% of my savings. I still have not heard from Warka on filling my order. CD,s are exactly what help the bottom line for a Bank restructuring. I hope that I hear from them soon.

Iraq is rich in agriculture potential as well as phosphates(fertilizers), cement and precious metals of all types. One of the few countries on the planet with so much income potential and these experts know it. The IMF and WB know it too, so why do you think they are so interested in loaning Iraq $ ?

These guys were crying crisis at $110 per barrel and nothing has changed. This is simply a way to maintain job justification....IMO

I have Zero Faith in any so-called HCL. Once you give citizens an entitlement, you can never take it back. There is too much to be gained by those in government who are corrupt! and God knows Iraq stinks with corruption..IMO
