  2. Hi Sarge!

Interestingly the Muslim faith believes itself to be the pure and unadulterated truth of God. So would a symbol that represents Pagan worship set up in a public square serve to unite Muslims and Christians? Or just cause further irritation? Just look at the tension in Jerusalem as an example of never ending tension. The Muslim world understands clearly what the evergreen tree represents and it offends them, especially the Religious leaders who fuel violence! I am not saying their behavior is right or justified. The Christmas Tree is a Pagan symbol of the ancients. Don't believe me? look it up on Google and inform yourself. Muslims look at Christians as stupid and influenced by Satan for adopting such symbolism into worship that should be honoring their Lord and Savior Christ! Muslims honor Jesus as a great prophet! There is no symbol in the Christmas holiday that has roots free from paganism. The very celebration of Christmas is honoring the Sun God cult of the ancients. there are many quotes in the book "The Two Babylons" by Alexander Hislop that shed light on the origins of all this.

My point is that the tree planted in Iraq may be well intentioned, but a Christmas tree will not fix the problems there as you must try to look at some things through Islamic eyes. Unfortunately the businessman is trying to push good sense in an easily offended community. This is why in part my comment called the tree ugly! So I believe that I was staying on point Sargent as you have to look a little deeper at things. :)

Please be assured I'm not trying to body slam anybody or be disrespectful.

Hahahaha, didn't mean to throw a wrench into the discussion by implying people on here actually smoke crack. Back on topic:

unirod, can we assume that the 3.34 rate that Sadame created would be what the articles on "Back to their Glory Days" is referring to? Adam Montana is thinking .10 but I'm looking at what the planning commission is stating...

Anyway we have approximately 42 days to see if what I'm reading will come to past.

    DoD,

Iraq had what they might consider a "Glory" rate over the USD even pre-Saddam as research shows. Regardless, my speculation is that Iraq's wealth has been systematically transferred across the globe through debt. In my opinion the debt has been transferred abroad using 3 zero notes.

  5. Latest articles are stating Iraq's currency returning to "It's former glory" When I read such terms it reinforces to me that it will come out as a reinstatement of It's former value of $3+ per Dinar. I know that it is a long shot to believe this but again money and vast fortunes change hands daily across the globe. Why not for holders of the IQD? An R/I would also mean no capitol gains for any of us as I understand the IRS tax law. Now that is what I'm looking for and I could just bet you so are the rest of the Big financial players on the global scene! Iraq is looking to be part of the global basket of currency's that won't have a negative effect on the other currencies in the basket, but will have a positive purchasing effect on the Iraqi people. So the only thing that I see accomplishing that is an R/I. When the Iraq currency was devalued vast fortunes in Iraq and globally were put on ice so as to speak. Do any of us really think that the Big boys are going to lose their fortunes for good? I think not! because we are talking infrastructure and real estate in Iraq. so something is going to take place in this nation building effort with Iraq that defies financial logic! but will in fact cause Iraq to enter the world scene in a debt driven economy like every other nation!
