  1. Today, during his trip to the Middle East, among other things President Biden referenced Iraq. He mentioned Iraq to be connected to the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) electric grid thru Kuwait. If this plays out, it decreases reliance on Iraq. However , does that stabilize the economy and influence the Dinar to our benefit? If anyone has insight , I would be interested to know. Erich K.
  2. So the big question is , how does it drop 150/oz if the market is aware of the stockpiling? Logically speaking, the price should be going up. Can anyone provide insight to this.
  3. Thanks everyone for the unbiased opinions. It caught my eye as odd as well. Transferring my original purchase price for gold/silver now seemed peculiar-after 7 years. As a reference First Liberty National, www.firstlibertynational.com would expect someone to send them the dinar and convert , say $850 per million dinar into gold/silver at current values.
  4. I recently have received notice from the initial provider of my Dinar( a bank) saying many seek to EXIT the dinar. The option to 'exchange' at the current rate is NO longer an option. They are willing to provide FACE Value and If anyone can offer insight to 1) Will paper dinar have a value , when outside of Iraq, if/when rv occurs? 2) Is this an indicator of improvements for the currency? As they are offering gold/silver coin packages in lieu of the dinar.
  5. The Hype on the internet for 10-1-16, when the Chinese Renmibi (yuan) is added to this basket of Special Drawing Rights implies the dollar will crash. The IMF site says the US dollar percentage will remain unchanged appx 41% ( http://www.imf.org/external/np/exr/faq/sdrbsktfaq.htm). Can anyone with professional Forex experience explain how this will impact the dollar. Not only for this investment, but the dollar as a reserve currency?
  6. Has anyone noticed how the Federal Reserve has reacted to the swap concept?
  7. The dollar coin does exist, but I have not seen in several yrs. Before converting to debit and credit cards. One would commonly get from USPS stamp machines.
  8. 50k note:Can someone explain, other than quantity, the logic of purchasing if the exchange rate will not move?
  9. On a similar topic, with hype of the Chinese yaun seeking a reserve status, various articles reference OIL as one of three safe bets (2015 forbes article) Unable to add the link. My question becomes, will an RV be necessary or will the Dinar increase at a steady rate without the 1:1? Can any Forex traders weigh in with first-hand insight?
  10. Oh the Irony! If it takes them having significant debt in order to raise the value of the currency. If memory serves, who is a significant funder of budgets for the IMF/WB and even the UN?
  11. An excellent point w a good summation by Coorslite21. Any way to pin this for reference?
  12. Hello, I don't normally reply to posts, however this may finally be in our interest. My only concern is if they are redesigning the bill while attempting to increase the value -great! However, what provisions are ther for the bills we hold now? Can anyone shed light on this? ErichK
  13. I would agree with PD46, but the reality is, will those in Washington voluntarily stop the Gravy Train? I think not. The Libertarians did not fare to well in OHIO in the last few elections. Are they poised for a comeback?
  14. I'm curious to know if a plan to reduce the quantity of US dollars in the Iraq economy, which should increase it's value for us, has been proposed? If anyone has insight to share , please do. I bring this up as an article in FP( Foreign Policy Sept/Oct 2011 issue) referred to this proposition, by a significant US Military Leader, for Afghanistan. Why couldn't it work in Iraq. I have not been able to find this concept specifically referencing Iraq. If anyone has seen articles/references ,please advise. ErichK
  15. What are the Drawbacks to Warka- I am considering- as previous references have implied holding the physical Dinar is not a good option. This implies many things, but I seek advice to justify/discredit holding the phyiscal bills. All opinions welcome-please justify if the physical bill in hand is as good/better/worse than Warka. ErichK
