  1. 3.68 in 7-10 days - I can live with that. I really do hope Okie is right - but Adam would be right too - and Phoenix - and some unknown kid on YouTube. Don't get me wrong - not putting Adam in the same category as Okie. Just pointing out that a whole bunch of people are pointing to this time frame. Make's me believe we are heading in the right direction - so "expect the unexpected." Nuff Said....(as per Stan Lee - not Okie) Maybe I should go with "Excelsior"
  2. Been gone a bit - and have missed the Piggy Posts - Miia - you know you got a real porker on your hands... To quote MY fiance - "Men are such pigs - good thing women like pork."
  3. The Jackson Hole symposium has been hosted annually since 1978 by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. http://seekingalpha.com/article/289342-jackson-hole-you-can-t-always-get-what-you-want Personally, I'm hoping Shabs has a nice PowerPoint presentation on Wednesday - "Ok - here is how we are going to RV - Oh and this is going to be on Thursday - yeah - ."

  5. uh...I have the 2008 version which according to the Napolean Hill foundation is the same as the origonal 1937 manuscript...and it DOES use the word vibration - in regards to being able to raise your consciosness.
  6. I agree 100%. Then again, I've been in the military 27 years, am a practicing Catholic, a Tea Party supporter and a member of the NRA. Some might call me conservative...
  7. The LOA, in my opinion, is just a start. Faith, desire, imagination - all play a part in success, but you also need a plan and the ability to act an move that plan towards its completion. My opinion - for what it's worth - "Think and Grow Rich" by Napolean Hill gives great advice. Read it a long time ago - and never paid it much mind then. Re-reading it now (on my third reread) and it's making much more sense. I'm applying the priciples and my side business is starting to grow. Highly recommend it. For those of you wondering (since this book seems to make the round in this industry), yes I'm a Network Marketer - and proud of it and the product I have. It's great having a home based business -if nothing else just the tax aspects!
  8. Think I put my first attempt in the wrong place - so I'll try again... Please Dinar-ify me - and if you look close, you can Dong-ify me too.
  9. BamaGirl - It does warm the heart to see how the people on here can draw together. We all have something in common, and in my opinion that is more than just the RV - its hope. So many of us are looking for this as an opporunity to not just help ourselves, but to help others. Kinda give me a warm fuzzy... Thanks for your kinds words, ^5s to all my fellow dinarians - and Go RV As far as Colleged football goes - Go Saints! ( I went to Carroll College here in Helena, MT - 5 times NAIA Div II National Champions)
  10. I think the quote you want is from Han waking up from the carbonite "I'm out of it for a little while and everyone gets delusions of grandeur."
  11. To somewhat paraphrase one of my favorite movies, my number is one, two, three, four (1234) Spaceballs, (1987) Roland: One. Dark Helmet: One. Colonel Sandurz: One. Roland: Two. Dark Helmet: Two. Colonel Sandurz: Two. Roland: Three. Dark Helmet: Three. Colonel Sandurz: Three. Roland: Four. Dark Helmet: Four. Colonel Sandurz: Four. Roland: Five. Dark Helmet: Five. Colonel Sandurz: Five. Dark Helmet: So the combination is... one, two, three, four, five? That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! The kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!
  12. Thank you Delta for posting this, and as powerful as it is, I'm afraid I have to correct a few things. First - it is not a 21 gun salute. At military funerals, one often sees three volleys of shots fired in honor of the deceased veteran. This is often mistaken by the laymen as a 21-gun salute, although it is entirely different (in the military, a "gun" is a large-calibered weapon. The three volleys are fired from "rifles," not "guns." Therefore, the three volleys isn't any kind of "gun salute," at all). Anyone who is entitled to a military funeral (generally anyone who dies on active duty, honorably discharged veterans, and military retirees) are entitled to the three rifle volleys, subject to availability of honor guard teams. The firing team can consist of any number, but one usually sees a team of eight, with a noncommissioned officer in charge of the firing detail. Whether the team consists of three or eight, or ten, each member fires three times (three volleys). The three volleys comes from an old battlefield custom. The two warring sides would cease hostilities to clear their dead from the battlefield, and the firing of three volleys meant that the dead had been properly cared for and the side was ready to resume the battle. link - http://usmilitary.about.com/od/theorderlyroom/f/funeralhonors.htm According to military protocol, true gun salutes are reserved for high level dignataries and military leaders. If your interested you can look here. http://usmilitary.about.com/od/jointservices/a/twentyonegun.htm Now the meaning of the flag folds. As is often the case, meanings are often attached to something after that event or ceremony occurs. There is no "official" meaning to each of the folds. The meanings you have given are taken from a flag folding ceremony that is often ascribed to the Air Force. Because this has come about after the folding of the flag into a triangular hat, does it make it any less powerful? Not in my eyes. I have participated in a numer of these flag folding ceremonies, and it always brings tears to my eyes. I didn't post to denigrate this in any way. In fact - I take honoring our deceased veterans very seriously. I am a member of the Montana National Guard Military Funeral Honors team, and have participated in just over 130 funerals for military veterans that have serveed of all branches - to include the Merchant Marine - and conflicts since WW II. I have presentd over 40 precisely folded flags to the next of kin - and in some cases, returned it to the funeral director because no next of kin could be found. Those are the saddest of all. I still have the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I hear "Taps", and while it is only a single sentence of 16 words used to present the flag to the next of kin, I have to fight to keep my voice from cracking by the end of it. I have served this country for 27 years next month, and have lost a few friends along the way - some to natural causes, some in conflict and some to suicide brought on my their PTSD. So please believe that I hold your post in the highest regards. I understand that you just want people to be more aware of the sacrifices of "those who gave all." I just have this thing about facts and truth. One of those things that as an NCO (Non Commisioned Officer) is supposed to take seriously. Bless you and all patriots like you.
  13. *lol* Of course not - but we will have try not to be "Bad to the Bone" or my fiance might....
  14. Very nice - well played sir. Hey Adam - when we reach the post RV world, and your taking your "victory tour " *lol* - Stop by here in Last Name state(Montana) - I'l buy you "one bourbon, one scotch, and one beer."

  17. Being from Montana - I love our neighbors to the north (some people think Montana is in Canada). A little known fact among most Americans - the US imports more of its crude oil from Canada than any other single country. Another little known fact for most Americans - The Tragically Hip are some of the greatest lyracists in the last 2 decades - well - IMO.... "I can smell a rat, and it's all rat..."
  18. Pink Piggy promoted!!! Praises porcine poster, a plethora of praiseworthy platitudes - i.e. congrats!!
  19. The Kuwait Dinar is pegged to a basket of currencies - this basket peg gives them some flexibility. http://www.gulf-daily-news.com/NewsDetails.aspx?storyid=275269 As for the 2.4 gams - some people are using the rate of 42.22 per troy ounce based on "official" price of gold base on the last US Government valuations done in 1973, and what is supposedly is tied into the IMF rate (but I can't find any substantiating documentation) - which is where you get the prevalent rate of around $3.00. http://www.munknee.com/2010/05/beware-official-u-s-government-price-for-gold-is-only-42-22oz/ So - doing the math based on this - 1 gram = 0.032 troy ounces. So 2.4 grams X 0.032 = 0.0768 troy ounce. $42.22 X 0.0768=$3.24 Hope this doesn't muddy the water even more - but this is my understanding of what many people are doing.
  20. Profitable pecuniary proposittions promotes Pink Piggy's pouring potable potions and patiently placing petite parasols
