There are times when I wonder if our leadership in Big Army have forgotten the core values. Maybe they need to remind themselves of what is really importantl. We are supposed to memorize the Soldier's Creed. Many can recite it - but I'm finding that few really live it.In my experience- and I have 33 years of it - it's really only the combat soldiers - Infantry, Artillery, Armor, Cavalry, and I'll throw in the Combat Engineers - those guys that have bullets coming at them or people trying to blow them up - who really internalize it.for those of you who have not seen it - here it is. I went to Iraq as an Infantry platoon sergeant. I had some of my guys pay the price of this creed with their blood. I take it very serious...and every time I have some type of "sensitivity training " - I repeat this to myself, just so I can remember what really maters.

It's amazing to me how even the US Army has become so political. It's a " failure drill" , not a "Mozambique Drill". The term Soldier must be capitalized. Transgender Soldiers are a thing...and must be treated with dignity and respect.
i came into the Army when being *** was not allowed. Then came "don't ask don't tell". Then it's ok - just no sexual harassment. Now transgender...I'm just hoping to retire before it becomes "mandatory fun".

Not worried about the electroneum. It's only been around for about 2 months...and ripple has been around since 2014. It all depends on when the need the coin fills becomes a real "want." Remember - people don't often really buy what they need, but they will more often buy what they want!

It really depends on how you set your "sell" order. I sold some of my Ethereum at high end market rate in about an hour. The actual Sale part is really dependent on you "ask" - just like stocks.
What takes the time is having the money deposited from your Exchange into your account. I use Gemini as my base exchange, and it says right in their user agreement that payments to your bank account can take up to 3 business days. In my case, I sold on a Tuesday afternoon, it was in my account Thursday morning.

Because of FTC rules, Gemini will only allow bank account ACH or wire. Not sure about Coinbase, but suspect the same. .

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has thanked Donald Trump for recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel - while other Middle East leaders have condemned the US President’s decision, saying it could embolden terrorist organisations.
“Thank you President Trump for today's historic decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital. The Jewish people and the Jewish state will be forever grateful,” Mr Netanyahu said.
This move, he added, “reflects the President's commitment to an ancient but enduring truth, to fulfilling his promises and to advancing peace.”
There is no peace that doesn't include Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” he said.
Meanwhile, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas denounced Mr Trump's decision, saying the move will aid extremist organisations.
“These procedures do also help in the extremist organizations to wage a religious war that would harm the entire region which is going through critical moments and would lead us into wars that will never end which we have warned about and always urged to fight against,” he said in a televised address.
Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat said the decision “disqualified the United States of America to play any role in any peace process”, even though Mr Trump called the change in Jerusalem’s diplomatic status a step towards working for a lasting agreement between Israel and Palestinians.
Jordanian King Abdullah also joined the chorus of disapproval of Mr Trump’s move.

Part of this is because there are some risky things out there. Remember - "All Natural" doesn't mean "All Safe". However - I see part of this as a move to controls some other substances - such as Kratom, which has been a big help for many people I know.

The US Food and Drug Administration plans to go after homeopathic remedies that are unsafe for consumers and offer unproven benefits in the treatment of serious illnesses, such as cancer and asthma, the agency announced Monday.
The proposal takes a firmer grip on homeopathic drugs, which are sold in the US without proof that they are safe and effective, as with formal FDA drug approval. Currently, no homeopathic drugs are FDA-approved.
“People may be placing their trust and money in therapies that may bring little to no benefit in combating serious ailments, or worse — that may cause significant and even irreparable harm,” FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb said in a statement.
These drugs — which make up a growing, nearly $3 billion market, the agency said — claim to treat illnesses using substances that can cause similar symptoms in a healthy person, the FDA cautioned. These may include plants, minerals and even animal excretions. Many scientific studies have found no evidence that these drugs are effective against cancer, dementia, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and a host of other conditions.
The agency said that most homeopathic remedies will not be affected by the newly proposed policy and will remain on shelves. But if the new guidelines become final, the agency will step up enforcement against certain categories of homeopathic drugs it considers to be more risky. These include drugs whose ingredients are potentially toxic or harmful, drugs that are not taken orally or topically, and those marketed to people with life-threatening conditions and “vulnerable populations” like children and the elderly.
The FDA has taken action against specific homeopathic products in the past, including infant teething gels whose main ingredient, belladonna, was associated with seizures and deaths. An intranasal cold remedy containing zinc was also found to cause a loss of smell in some users. Other remedies have contained a toxic substance called strychnine, which is also used as a rat poison in higher doses.
This is not the first time that homeopathic drugs have come under FDA scrutiny. In 2015, it held meetings at which critics blasted the agency for not taking a strong enough stance on homeopathic treatments. Others defended the products and the current level of FDA oversight.
The Federal Trade Commission also put pressure on over-the-counter homeopathic remedies last year when it announced that it would ramp up scrutiny of their safety and efficacy claims. Under the FTC policy, which targets “deceptive advertising or labeling,” health claims must be based on scientific evidence.
A number of health experts applauded the FDA’s proposed crackdown on treatments they view largely as snake oil. However, homeopathic advocates believe that these products can be beneficial and harmless.
The National Center for Homeopathy, a nonprofit based in New Jersey that works with industry partners, said in a statement from its board of directors that it hopes “this action will not impede access” to homeopathic remedies, though the organization said it supports safety and good manufacturing practices.
The FDA is seeking public comments on its proposal for 90 days before putting final touches on the policy.
“We respect that some individuals want to use alternative treatments,” Gottlieb said, “but the FDA has a responsibility to protect the public from products that may not deliver any benefit and have the potential to cause harm.”

And then, from the next $20,000 up to my $50,000, and her next $20,000 to her next $50,000, we pay the same, I think it's 12 percent of 15 percent, I can't remember where the brackets are right now. And then she goes on to pay her higher rate on the stuff that she makes and I stop.
Well, if you want to give me, the middle class, a cut, take my 15 percent rate down to say 10 percent, and that gives the middle class a cut. Guess who else benefits from that, she does. She pays that same rate on the way up the brackets.
His conclusion, "You could sit there and do nothing but lower the rates on the middle class, and all other things being equal, you're giving the rich a tax cut."

I haven't worked with coinbase - I'm using Gemini as my "on ramp" - it only deals with BitCoin and Ethereum . Takes about a week to get set up as they verify your bank account and your identity with your SSN. (They are registered with the FTC - so that's a legal requirement for them.) Takes about 2-3 business days for cash to flow each way - that's the tough part. Also - $500 dollar a day limit on transfers. If you set up your account for wiring money, its quicker, but there are more fees.

Don't forget that Australia may be a democratic republic but they have no federal level laws for freedom of Religion or Freedom of Speech. It is implied but their High Court takes a pretty narrow view as I understand it.
