You are wrong I remember years ago they had passed a law granting funds to the citizens I had wondered why they would pass such a law guarantee all the citzens of Iraqoil funds but I do remember funds from the oil. If I remember correctly Shabibi had said the old notes would be good for 5 years there was 10 yrs but not sure if 5 or 10 too long ago I had printed this to my computer but it crashed & lost all my info at the time back in 2011 or 2012, But it was at least 5 yrs old dinars good til, direst from Shabibi plus as I had said the 25000 notes would only be available for large Banking no longer good for the public. I keep reading this in the articles of CBI as above=moving towards the electronic payment process, in addition to the possibility of amending the Central Bank Law. so this is telling everyone they need an amendment if so does not the parliament need to vote on this. We know how this parliament likes to argue over every law presented to them and how long it takes parliament to pass laws. JMHO

I remember few years ago the CBI had said their intention was to be 1 dinar to $1.00 so maybe they still will go for the 1 to 1, My question still is doesn't the parliament still have to vote on this. In that case it could take years for this .76 cents to happen. We know how they argue back & forth constantly on voting so don't get excited unless it is approved by their parliament. JMHO

Ron That would be great But they saying The Iraqi government is weighing the question to change the currency don;t forget the parliament would have to agree on this making an amentment and voting on this.
