  1. No mountains in Texas.... is there?

Too dang hot, must be at least 70... we're talking melted puddle o flesh anything past 80... Alaska is the place to be, clean air, and ya don't have to worry about illegals hiking in from anywhere...

Agreed. Hoping to make that my next home. Still can fish for salmon and steelhead there. :)

I sign the petiton as Washingtontoian that I'm.but,I don't see it happening, there too liberial in this state.

Only on the west side of the mountains. Of course that is the most populated. Lot of locals moved over there though. At least from my neck of the woods. They got out a long time ago.

  2. I was asking myself today. Where does the legalization of marijuana take us. I live here in Wa. As you know one of the two states that did make pot legal, or will soon. I have smoked since I was young off and on to this day. Not as much now as back then, but sometimes before a movie at home or just before bed. I don't think that makes me a bad person, but under the right circumstance it could make me vulnerable to (the devil). That's why I limit myself, but what about the people who don't. Where are they headed? I know a lot of people were tokin up in the streets when they got word pot passed in defiance and celebration of the Law. Defiance of the old law, celebration of the new. So what, are we gonna see this on the streets now? In front of kids, or our elders. I wanted this as a kid, but now I know this is bad. Very bad. I can't tell the future this is JMO.

  3. Pidgin English is so much more colourful....with a limited vocab of only 2500 words and only 21 letters in the alphabet) you have to construct sentences to convey meaning. So to describe a piano for instance to a national who has never seen one, it could be phrased as follows (it is easier to hear than to read):

Olrait tingim bikpela bokis it gat tet. Tasol, sampela i wait na sampela i blak olsem tet bilong pukpuk i save doti. Taim yu paitim em i gat switpela nek i save singaut.

    Literal translation:

Alright, think of a big box with teeth. However, some of them are white and some are black the same as the teeth of the crocodile that are dirty. When you strike them a sweet sound comes out.

    Interesting. Never heard of it.

  4. I love this time of year. The Kings and Silvers are done, and I have a couple of weeks to pick my spot to fish for chum when they start hittin the upper river. Truly beautiful, the leaves have changed, Eagles are everywhere ( waiting for their next unsuspecting meal), and the air is so fresh with it starting to get colder. The river is starting to clear also now that the glaciers aren't putting as much silt in the water. They run mud brown in the summer time, unless they're spring fed rivers. With the weather getting colder and wetter there are a lot less people fishing. Got a lot of fair weather folks here. This is definitely a good time of year. Can't wait for Christmas. That's my favorite day to go fishing. Never anybody on the river. Just me, the fish, and Gods beauty. I hope it snows this year for it really adds to it all.

  5. ***///

'Ol Sarge shared that when he was at SAC HQ, a sunday drive just

outside the base revealed giant pot plants growing everywhere.

The farmers had been encouraged to plant it for hemp during WWII for the

purpose of making lines for the Navy's ships.

Albeit benign in potency, one might assume it would take little to 're-engineer' it

    for illicit purposes.

    So is Nebraska next....? :P

I don't know for sure if it still does, but it used to grow wild in the ditches of farmland Iowa and Illinois. Remnants of the war, no doubt.

I lived there in the late 70s, early 80s

  6. I live in Washington State.

    Everyone know's I am Christian.

I voted in favor of the law.

    Not because I toke, I don't.

But also, I firmly believe this is a small step to individual freedom.

Hopefully this will bring on a showdown with the feds, and will lead to a more sovereign state.

yes there will be problems, but the truth is tokers are already driving stoned.

This will also shut down one of the foreign cartels money source, it will help to curtail the huge profits the gangs make, and in turn spend on guns and intimidation.

There are so many people in prison for possession of pot it is ridiculous.

I read last year that 60% of the prison population is there for drugs, and of that somewhere around 70% are for pot or possession of a "personal" amount of drugs.

One of the biggest industries in America is locking up Americans.

This criminalization of victim-less "crimes" has to end.

The hypocrisy of locking a person up for a joint, but allowing a CEO of a corporation that caused thousands to lose millions through personal greed is staggering.

The benefits of hemp are many, it was William Hurst that spearheaded the drive to make it illegal just so he could force America to make paper out of his trees instead.

neg away if you want, I am a constitutionalist, and proud of it.

    Well said, +1 no -

  7. Just because it's legal at the state level Do Not carry a gun and weed at the same time. Feds are going to do some drastic things in these two states. I really don't think that they are going after the little guy, but if a gun is found with illegal drugs it ups your sentence quite a bit.

Say you got in an accident, and the first person to come with aid was a off duty fed or on duty for that matter. Busted

There's more ways than this to get busted buy the feds. I just wanted to throw out one, so that you can see that it is possible.

I live here in Wa., and just cause it's legal doesn't mean you won't be drug tested for jobs. You will. Remember the insurance issue. They still want that money, but companies will pay for drug screens before they pay big insurance companies. JMO

  8. I'm too irritated to consult my handy-dandy electoral college map but anybody want to venture a guess or count how many of the listed closures effect blue states? A comparison... Just curious how many of those loyal voters will be unemployed or unable to find work if they do decide to get off their duffs to get a job.

    KK

    MADD for Heather

Blue states are mainly along both coasts, And yes even they are affected. Boeing and others here in Washington will be affected. Just because a state is blue doesn't mean all the people are bad. You and a lot of other people would feel welcome around my clan, cause we are good people. I lost a job I wanted, quit a job I hated, and waiting for a job at frickin Dominoes. I guess what I'm saying is let loose the whole red and blue bullcrud. It's not doing anybody any good. United we stand, divided we fall. It's time to UNITE.
