  1. 'Shelly', Good evening and thank you for the compliment! Yes, sometimes a long break from the same old song and dance is a good thing.......felt like I was locked in a wash machine spin cycle there for a while!!! Good to be on board and reviewing the many "enlightening" recent developments and articles. Have a good night! GG
  2. 'pocono', Good evening! I googled the document you mentioned in your post, page 99 of the .pdf July 2010 SGIR Quarterly Report as evidenced in the excerpt below: Dinar Re-denomination The CBI has announced that it intends to implement a long-planned re denomination of the Iraqi dinar by eliminating three zeros from the nominal value of bank notes. This process is meant to ease commercial transactions by reducing errors and confusion that hyper-inflated currencies often cause. Now that Iraq’s inflation rate has achieved a level of stability, the move could serve to bolster confidence in the country’s currency. The re-denomination process is set to begin in late 2010 and take two years to complete. The CBI has pegged the exchange rate since January 2009 at 1,170 Iraqi dinars to 1 U.S. dollar, and has held interest rates at 6% since April 2010. (July 30, 2010, Report to Congress) Well, I am am in this thing for the long haul and I still remain hopeful that we will get somewhat of a healthy return on what we've all invested. Have a good evening! GG
  3. 'SocialDinar', Good evening! Excellent find and thanks for bringing this interesting background information to the thread. Have a good night, GG
  4. Good morning! Agree 100%...... it is a shame with all of the natural and man-made resources Iraq has they are slicing off their noses just to spite their face; however, with all of the tremendous potential for international investments, they really need to focus on the electrical infrastructure. JMHO Have a good day! GG
  5. Zigmeister, Good afternoon! I could not agree more....Iraq has gone from playing pee-wee, to little league, to high school, to college, to minor league, and now to the "Show". It is time to step up to the plate with a 3-2 count and hit the game winning home run!!!!!!! Thank you, GG
  6. Good afternoon! Excellent news concerning this venture and as I have commented in many postings since 2011, "Follow the Money Trail". Where there is money to be made, U.S. banks will follow, that is why Wells Fargo purchased the foreign exchange section/ wholesale currency provider from of The Bank of Ireland Group May 9, 2011. GG
  7. Rod, Good afternoon! I agree with you 100%........ Have a good afternoon! GG
  8. Dear "Betty Boop", Good evening! I happened to read though your original post where you were unfairly targeted and or ostracized for conveying partial information provided to you by your mortgage lender relating to this venture. I for one appreciated you sharing that partial information and I am extremely pleased that you found it within yourself to come back and provide "The Rest of the Story". Since you decided to post that information here in the "Rumor's" section; we shall treat is as such, but I get the feeling there may be some truth to what you were told. Again, thank you for sharing and I hope you enjoy the theater! GG
  9. Adam, Good evening! Looks as though the "Wheels of Progress" are beginning to negotiate the obstacles in a positive manner on this very bumpy road! Thank you for the update! GG
  10. Adam, I renewed a couple of days ago, have receipt, and has not been updated on the site. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for allowing me to piggy-back off this post. GG
  11. 'Wassaap', Good afternoon! Great post and excellent opinion. There are a lot of "Debbie Downers" and as the old saying goes..."Misery loves company!" I am of the opinion that this article is indicating things are going in the right direction for us and those who are glass-half-full people. Thank you, GG
