  1. Well, I have a lot of respect for Randallin, been lurking a couple o yrs around these parts. And.... I understood him. Read up guys and take it easy -life is tough enough without throwing a few jerks into the fray.....
  2. So......NOT COOL!!!!! My cat just scratched the sh8t out of me and my tea is all over my keyboard! Way not cool! Good morning to you ,too.
  3. I was under the impression Maliki had been subject to " a come to Jesus" meeting..........doesn't sound to me that he has been brought into the fold........I hope and pray they can bring him around shortly cause a vote of "no confidence" is really gonna drag this out and the world is standing on a precipice as it is. Even if Allawi promised he could seat a govt. in 48 hrs. in Iraqi time that probably translates to about a year in American time...bummer
  4. What happened to Pleasant Valley Sunday? She seemed very level headed but firm..........managed to control the angry ones.
  5. Although I initially blabbed to anyone that would listen, when only one friend bought in, I quickly shut up. I now will say I made a little off the RV and then wait awhile before changing anything in my lifestyle( at least on the surface) then say my family all got an inheritance from a faraway uncle. I am then going to give anonymously to needy friends through a minister at church. I also plan to buy a bug out place with a solid basement in case this is the beginning of the end for the US dollar. I DO NOT want to appear wealthy if the people who believe they are entitled suddenly find themselves with no Uncle Sam parachute.........a rustic looking cabin in the woods that is well stocked.........just sayin.
  6. As for your thoughts on confusion generated in the Iraqi media, certainly you wouldn't expect the leaders of an entire country to play their hand openly, ergo this has been more of a word of mouth investment rather than a Wall Street investment. Imagine an investor trying to explain all this to his boss.....yaaa right. However, I tend to think highly of Shabibi and Allawi and I also think the news article sounds alot like a campaign speech, how very insightful of you! plus 1!
  7. While I obviously wish for personal wealth,I am more concerned about my country as a whole.........in your personal opinion, is there any truth behind the rumors of our USD decline and status as reserve currency being revoked soon after or simutaneously with a large basket of currencies that RV upward? You obviously have better insight than me...........if true, any ideas on best way to spread our wealth other than a tithe to our church to be most beneficial for all ie.) opening a new business to employ people? I would prefer to relax but will jump back into the economy if really have to. Will your investment ideas after RV help the USA other than generating taxes?
  8. It is coming in from boots in Kuwait per a difft dinar site and from the ezforex site. 1 KWD= $4.11 it was $3.62 before 2:00 pm est today. I think banks and forex update around that hour too fyi. The link to the ez forex site is in another thread on DV right now that is calling a Kuwaiti RV. Let's go Iraq!
  9. LOL! I was just at that site when it came onto my screen and was gonna tranfer info to DV..........good catch! Thanks!
  10. My first instinct is to think of "smoke and mirrors" when they put out this stuff and the journalists over there just gobble it up (along with regurgitating old articles once in awhile on slow news days) but the really sly thing is that they are apparently serious. When they say stuff like "next year" that ends up being true since they don't get very much accomplished very fast and need a vacation to do anything of value, and they appear to be putting their information right upfront which is totally throwing off the westerners who look for conspiracy in everything. These folks are hard to grasp, no wonder they don't follow democratic ideology very well.....and this hercky jercky movement seems to be throwing all of us off too. Can't believe anything they say for certain yet.
  11. Sometimes I wonder who is the better choice, Maliki or Allawi for Iraq and it's fledgling democracy. I have heard opinions on both sides from various gurus over the past year. Maliki is close to Iraq and Sadr who seem to be more of the "old fashioned" severe type Muslims yet he supposedly has been the only one to do the tightrope dance of keeping all the factions together that Allawi couldn't seem to accomplish. Has time been on his side for Iraqis to see and trust in their democratic processes anyway as they slowly adapted to western ideals of compromise in order to move forward? Maybe so. I am convinced he is corrupt and stalling this RV deliberately, grasping for as much power and profit as he can swindle yet he also seems to be the leader under which forward progress slowly, slowly occurs. Allawi, on the other hand, has proven IMHO to be the leader who truly cares for his people by being the one to compromise time and again. Initially, by giving the leadership to Maliki after being granted promises of a co-position of power in order to ward off civil war after a contested election, and staying and working in Parliament regardless of Maliki abiding by the Erbil agreement of compromise or not (apparently Iraqis are found of walking out when they don't get their way.) I am also under the impression that Allawi is no friend of the Iranians who would no doubt be waiting in the wings if the US troops suddenly disappeared from the Iraqi landscape. Reading that Sadr, who absolutely hates us, approves of and supports Maliki who hasn't done **** for the general public in Iraq just gives me chills.....I hope and pray that Allawi and the Kurds can hold this together for awhile longer until the people adapt to their new form of govt. and get used to the idea of voting for officials that will best represent them and work for them and not cowl to a dictator. Who knows, maybe they will be the ones to be an example to our Congressmen and President before too much more time has passed in how to run a govt. that works in the best interest of their constituents...........isn't it ironic?
  12. I think I went to the same yahoo finance site as you did only mine came back with standard rates..........are they yanking our chain again???? These mysterious glitches are killing me. The CBI, Dinar Banker,Yahoo Finance, and on and on........why now? HMMMMM
  13. You guys are really taking the fun out of this site.........must you be so politically correct that you insist on links for personal opinions, a LENGTHY history explanation for every insight , and Government regulations for everyone answering questions "in their own opinion" that is just trying to help along their fellow man with what they decided to do to cover their butt in an investment?............... Geez, no wonder all the intelligent and insightful people like Scooter and Doc 31 AND Breitling have all left Dinarvets............it's just too tiresome defending yourself when someone insists on being spoonfed babyfood and is worried all about being politically correct cause some humans are too lazy to do their own thinking! No wonder our Government thinks the masses are dumb and gullible and must be PROTECTED from anyone with an alternate opinion....what about his right to free speech regarding his OPINION! Read again.OPINION! Give it a rest!
  14. Uhmmmmmm- ya right! Where is Bondlady when you need him? This will be a doozie!
  15. I would tithe, anonymously give some to friends in need, pay off all debts, give a little bit to my kids then watch to know who handles money well before giving any more to them (money can be a curse too), buy guns n ammo, buy gold, supply a hunting camp that is off grid, get another college degree just for fun, travel with my hubby when youngest goes to college, maybe help build a community swimming pool for free lessons to youngsters,,,,,,,,,,I can think of Lots to do..........Oh yea! study for reinvesting, too,,,,,so I can keep living in the manner to which I recently became accustomed. LOL! .
  16. I just bawled like a baby at that.....from out of nowhere. I guess I am scared for my country and my kids' future. I try not to be but I am, and I pray for guidance on what to do to change things. Some say replace all the incumbants in Congress but look at where a political "newbie" ( O ) has us as a nation. Surely there is someone out there with a proven record and experience and charisma that can lead us (with God's help) out of this quagmire we are up to our as s in. I just hope and pray they start to stand out and up and away from the pack soon.
  17. Thank you BondLady for your insight.......Arabish is not for the feint of heart and your "the best" at interpreting I have ever seen.....so glad you are here! Level headed news bringers are refreshing, IMO.
  18. Is it too much to hope that Okie does disseminate information that he receives via his "high up" contacts that do indeed wish for the greater good of the average american citizen out there? We do give more to needy causes throughout the world as individuals than any other modern society per capita. Maybe this could actually be God's work.........what a comforting thought that we could see good triumph once in awhile. Just sayin............
  19. I do get his (Dudley's) newlsetters, but I am also a little slow on the computer re. links, etc. so I can't help you out there.....my kids have to do that stuff for me haha. Anyway, this is a very worthy cause my Dad turned me on to and you guys should take a moment to google this cause. A few friends from Canada are also "up in arms" lol about gun control....even some hunting types of equipment will have to be registered now if legal at all as I understand it. I sent them $10 bucks anyhow. More worthy than a movie.......imo.
  20. I think the special interest group lobbyists have also had a hand in swaying our representatives into whatever viewpoint they espouse.......would campaign contribution limits for both Presidential campaigns and the House and Congress be a solution? Just imagine if all they could ever accept was $100 max from a bonified individual constiuent.........that's where we should start IMO, then they would really be a representative of THE PEOPLE!
  21. I am hoping Shabs decides to stay in Iraq this year and work extra hard on my favorite subject...THE RV!!!
  22. I know I have read this at least once on here so sorry if redundant, but is anyone there that could show me how to figure a value in dollars by converting the dinar value the "glitch" shows to the ask price they quote to the GBP? It is the "ask" price you use, right? Then you convert the GBP to a dollar? So sorry, this seems as s backwards and it confuses me......which numbers to use.....the ask or the bid (which is I think the same as buy?)
  23. Geesh! You guys are getting really antsy these days, take it easy on Breitling, he helps a lot of people and answers a lot of questions for a lot of "newbies' just like we were at one time. Personally, he appears to have the patience of Job. Hey, and no bashing me either-I have been invested for at least one year and read these sights on avg. an hour or two a day-so I am not a '"newbie" even though I just paid for the VIP recently. Anyhoo, find something else to nitpik over and leave the guy alone (Breitling.)
  24. Doesn't it make you wonder about the obnoxious SOB being responsible for the teens? What a great example he is- hope the lesson the teens saw was that personal restraint and common courtesy is taking the high road and idiot relatives can be really really embarrassing. Kudos for not kicking his butt! People around here take their fishing seriously...............Oh! and GO RV!
  25. Since when are bank employees not allowed to hold dinar? When I went to the Fifth/Third bank to buy dinar in March I had to first open a savings account in order to purchase. There were only two tellers and two customer service reps and I was the only customer in there. We were all talking openly and joking about the dinar as they were all four somewhat invested. I have not been back since because they were told to stop selling dinar when I had the money to purchase more. The really interesting thing was I got a call from my customer service person on my cell phone at seven p.pm. last Tues. night and I was super excited.....she said she remembered me buying dinars too! Unfortunately, there was no new news to share she just wanted to check in on me and see how things were going which seemed a little fishy to me.......after hours on my cell phone after 4 months had passed and remembering dinars? We agreed to keep each other informed and by the way they have no amber or green screens at her location............
