Money is a tool - the church uses money (tithes and offerings) to fund the operating costs of the church and soul-winning efforts. Tithes and offerings are also God's designed way of getting provision to you (seed, time, and harvest). The Bible says the "love of money" is evil, not money itself. If you get offended over churches talking about money, it may be you who has the issue. The Bible also says God loves a cheerful giver. My church talks about money and teaches about God's desire for us to be prosperous so that we can show the love of God to the world.

Have y'all been watching the A&E expose of the Church of Scientology by Leah Remini? Wow, talk about eye-opening. What I think is so sad about all this is that many who come out of that oppressive cult will be leery of being open to the true things of God.

I have to say I was proud of the Obamas and their class in the smooth transition. Melania was truly elegant, and I am quite sure she had a lot of help. I appreciate that Michelle dressed conservatively to give deference to Melania - I thought Michelle was beautiful and gracious.

Adam has long said there will be the day when this site shifts toward VIP only. He has stated that the site itself will remain open, but someone else will have to oversee it. The chat has been open, but unused. If there were people using it consistently every day, you might have a gripe (though, not really). Adam has allowed us to converse and develop friendships, and we can find ways (e-mail) to know each other better. I am a compassionate person, but I am not a socialist. Many have sacrificed to be able to purchase the tools necessary to be prepared for the great event. I'm not saying don't help them - I'm just saying they have known a long time this was going to happen. This kind of reminds me of when the Church gets raptured, and those left behind say "Wait, I prayed once in 1972." A bit extreme, I know. One of the best quotes I ever heard was "Missed opportunity brings regret."

Just read this post and see that no female has responded to your request, so here goes. I am not your typical millennial feminist, so I'm probably not the perspective you were looking for. However, I have worked with them. Most of them would secretly give anything if they could go back to the traditional marriage where the husband was the breadwinner and she was the homemaker and nurturer for the children. I am not knocking women having careers, but I know what the pressures to be seen as superior have done to women. Don't get me wrong - they are equal, especially in God's eyes (look at Proverbs 31), but God designed marriage with the man as the head. Does that mean the woman is his servant? Certainly not. It also says the husband is to love her as Christ loves the Church, giving Himself for Her. What I am really saying is that in marriage the desire should be to please the other person (be other-centered). Maybe she picks up his dirty laundry; maybe he makes sure her car always has gas. It's the little things.

Well, let me say first that I am no Luigi fan. BUT I believe $1 is possible - not saying that it will be (I am for sure no guru). Also, $1.14 x 25,000 is almost $30,000 ($28,500), so you can't argue that point. Is this story true . . . I think not. Could this happen . . . I think so.

Praying for all listed here, and praying that the Church would have its eyes opened to the truth that Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy; but Jesus came to bring life, and life more abundantly. Sickness comes to steal, kill, and destroy. God sent Jesus to provide life. It's pretty easy to conclude that it is ALWAYS God's will to heal. He provided the authority through the blood of Jesus to bring life. I realize many don't believe this - doesn't make it wrong. If I ever found myself in a health challenge, I know how to obtain healing. It is available for every child of God.
