December 30, 2012 by Tim Brown The Theater Shooting The Main Stream Media Didn’t Focus On & Why There has been lots of talk over the past few months about gun control by the main stream media and liberals in general. This was anticipated following the shooting in an Aurora, Colorado theater at the opening of The Dark Knight Rises. It escalated over the next couple of months until the shooting that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Because so many young children were killed, the emotional response was increased, but I’ll bet most people never heard of a shooting that took place at a theater just two days after the one in Newtown and for good reason; it didn’t go with the liberal’s agenda. On Sunday, December 16, 2012 a man entered a movie theater in San Antonio, Texas for the sole purpose of killing his ex-girlfriend, because she had broke up with him. The gunman, 19 year old Jesus Manuel Garcia, apparently did not complete his task. He opened fire in the theater which caused mass panic. People were running for cover and rushing towards exits, according to police and witnesses. At least two people were wounded in the shooting. So why was there not widespread news footage covering this event? The shooter was stopped. The Santikos Mayan Palace 14 Movie Theater also houses a small restaurant. The shooting began in the restaurant and as people went for cover, Garcia began to fire outside at an unmarked police car. He then moved to the theater where off duty Bexar County Sheriff Officer, Sgt. Lisa Castellano, who was working the theater, chased Garcia to the back of the theater and cornered him in the men’s room, shooting him several times and taking his gun. Detective Louis Antu, spokesman for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, said, “She took all appropriate action to keep everyone safe in the movie theater.” Armando Oguin, an off-duty San Antonio Independent School District police officer restrained Garcia with handcuffs. He was then taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he was in stable condition in intensive care the following Monday. My guess is, because the shooting was stopped by an off duty officer and the fact that the crime was not committed with an AR-15 has something to do with why this did not get mass coverage. The fact that no one killed probably adds to that. So what was used? A Glock 23, according to this report. The Glock 23 is a .40 caliber handgun that holds 13 rounds in its magazine and 1 in the chamber. This is one of hundreds of handguns that would come under Senator Feinstein’s “Assault Weapons Ban” bill. Of course, no AR-15 rifle for the media and the left to call for more bans on alleged “assault weapons” and there was not mental health issues for anyone to jump on either. This really should speak volumes for the media’s silence. Yes, the person that stopped the shooter was a police officer, but consider they were off duty and allowed to carry their weapon at the theater. The point is that the good guy, or in this case, the good gal, had a gun to stop the bad guy. Otherwise, everyone else was a potential victim. Sgt. Castellano is to be congratulated for her bravery and ending what could have potentially been a deadly situation. After contacting the movie theater I learned that they openly display signs, just like at the Aurora theater, that concealed weapons are not allowed. Therefore, it seems that once again a theater takes it upon itself to create victims, rather than empower individuals to protect themselves. Obviously the criminal, Mr. Garcia, paid no attention to the law or the signs. Garcia was charged with attempted capital murder of a police officer, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. At the time I am writing this, the death toll of murdered babies via abortion methods is 55,110,996, and it climbs every few seconds. These murdered babies are predominately black babies. Where are the crusaders for social and racial justice, for the worst racist genocide in human history? Whatever the intent of the abortion industry may be, by functional standards, abortion is a racist institution. In the United States, black children are aborted at 5 times the rate of white children and Hispanic children don’t fare much better. Abortion is the leading cause of death among black Americans. We can debate the racial intent of Planned Parenthood past and present, but we cannot debate the results. Abortion is by no means an equal opportunity killer.-AbortionFacts.com After understanding the racist drive of abortion, we can also understand that abortion also kills white babies. It kills babies of Asian descent, Middle Eastern, and European. The murdered are of every race and economic parentage. They are every gender. These babies were created by the Lord God with a soul and a purpose. However, their hearts will forever carry an imprint of a tiny life they chose to extinguish. They are lied to when they are told that abortions are “safe”. They are lied to when they are told they will “be just fine-like nothing ever happened”, and they are certainly lied to when they are told that what and who they carry within them is not a person at all. Women who have had abortion and regret it, find it difficult to move beyond the abortion. For the remainder, they often become the statistics that show that most women who undergo abortion, will have more than one in their lifetime. Statistics show that 45% of all abortions are for repeat aborters. The claims that abortions are a “one time rescue,” 1) aren’t true, and 2) don’t make the death of any of the babies any less heinous. In our time of great apostasy, many lie about the truth of what abortion is, what it does, and the dangerous ripples that flow generations from it’s sinful core. Many distort or reduce it’s vicious and vile violence that is perpetrated on the most innocent among us. Many simply close their eyes. Many laugh at parallels to ancient cult followers and devil worshippers who kill their own children. Like the ancient worship and child sacrifice to the “god” Molech, our sons and daughters are sacrificed on the altar of self worship. Pizza Hut gave him a demotion. According to Swicegood, he was sucker punched, which caused his glasses to “fly off.” He then dropped the pizzas he was carrying and began to swing a small piece of a tent pole he had at his attackers, while covering his face. “It’s a little fiberglass road I had up my sleeve not thinking I would actually have to use it but more or less having a little comfort up my sleeve,” recalled Sam. Swicegood faced five attackers and said those odds “is just not a good situation to be in.” He said, “I thought I was about to die.” The attackers fled without his money or his pizzas. However, Fox News Insider says that Pizza Hut cut his hours and his pay for violating their “no weapons policy.” The local Fox affiliate in Baltimore reported, “During the days that followed Pizza Hut made Sam a cook, slashing his hours and salary. Sam had violated Pizza Hut’s weapon policy which states that a driver cannot be armed.” Swicegood is college student simply trying to make ends meet delivering pizzas. He said, “I was making about 11 or 12 dollars in tips,” which helped pay for college. Sam said, “I’m not saying we should arm all delivery drivers, but I’m saying that punishing delivery drivers for defending themselves as they’re being attacked is unjust.” It is unjust. In November, one of Sam’s co-workers was held at gunpoint and robbed in the same area that Swicegood was attacked. So far 3 of the 5 individuals that attacked Swicegood have been arrest. They are all juveniles. Not that I’m a fan of Pizza Hut, but I’ll take my business elsewhere when I’m purchasing pizzas from now on until they make this right. After all, Sam and people like him are performing a job for them and in these cases they are doing it by putting their lives on the line, literally. This is just one more area where if the company wants to exercise the right to disarm their employees they should be able to also be sued if the employee is attacked for the company’s failure to provide adequate protection. He signed an executive order ending the federal pay freeze. This means they will all get a raise. Lucky them. President Barack Obama issued an executive order to end the pay freeze on federal employees, in effect giving some federal workers a raise. One federal worker now to receive a pay increase is Vice President Joe Biden. According to disclosure forms, Biden made a cool $225,521 last year. After the pay increase, he’ll now make $231,900 per year. Members of Congress, from the House and Senate, also will receive a little bump, as their annual salary will go from $174,000 to 174,900. Leadership in Congress, including the speaker of the House, will likewise get an increase. It contains names, addresses, and various forms of Internet presence. Each dot represents an individual Journal News employee -- a reporter, editor or staffer. The data does not include freelancers — reporters or photographers — which can be hired without being an employee. Martinez, who has Down syndrome, was pepper sprayed, forced to the ground and beaten into submission by a San Diego County Sheriff’s deputy investigating a domestic violence incident. Martinez is all of 4 feet, 11 inches tall. According to reports, Martinez was walking between his home and the family bakery wearing a hoodie when the LEO (sometimes standing for law enforcement officer but in reality meaning Legally Entitled to Oppress) called out to him. Martinez didn’t respond to the officer’s “commands,” according to Sheriff’s Department apologist and (trained liar) public relations flak Jan Caldwell. Neighbors who know Martinez well told the deputy Martinez had Down syndrome and had done nothing wrong. But the deputy demanded compliance, according to Caldwell, and while trying “to gain compliance and prevent possible escape,” he used pepper spray to subdue Martinez. The pepper spray irritated Martinez’s eyes, as pepper spray does, so he naturally tried to rub them. This prompted the deputy to beat him into submission with a baton — a fact not disputed by the sheriff’s office. CNN reported: “The deputy hit Antonio Martinez with it, forcing him to the ground, then levied ‘a couple more strikes to get his hands free,’ Sheriff’s Department Capt. Joe Rodi told CNN affiliate KGTV.” Once beaten into submission, a sobbing and screaming Martinez was cuffed, placed into a patrol car and taken to the hospital. He was later taken to the jail where he was turned over to his family, but not before the family was told Martinez may face charges of obstructing justice. Martinez’s father is considering suing the Sheriff’s Department and the city of Vista, Calif. “But really, all we want is for the sheriff’s deputy who did this to my brother to get fired,” said Jessica Martinez. “That’s all we want. We want justice.” But firing alone isn’t good enough. Perhaps a blast of pepper spray to the face and several swats with a police baton upon his arrest for assault and battery is in order. For example, there’s no real evidence that Adam Lanza’s mother took him to a firing range or that she was a “prepper.” Lionel Shriver of The Guardian comments: “Multiple stories have pegged [Nancy Lanza] as a ‘prepper’ – a survivalist gearing up for economic collapse by stocking weapons and tinned food. Yet this gonzo tag hails from a single, biased source, Nancy’s sister-in-law, and has since been contradicted by friends. An acquaintance said she seemed ‘high-strung’ – an opaque and prospectively neutral adjective that went viral, repeated to insinuate that the mother herself might have been unbalanced. And tut-tut: she never seemed eager to invite neighbours into her home.” Today’s media are all about agenda journalism. There was a day when journalists worked long and hard to get to the facts straight no matter where the facts took them. In the debate over gun control and protecting schools against the unknown lunatic who might believe he’s playing a role in a violent video game where death and blood are little more than so many pixels on a screen, the media are ill-equipped to deal with the truth.
