  1. Hey everyone, I am just wondering if any Canadians out there know of what banks may be dealing with the IQD after the RV? I have spoken with many different institutions and been unsuccessful in obtaining any answers regarding cashing in... All I get is we don't deal with that particular currency. Any input would be greatly appreciated as I believe we are close!!!
  2. Hi Sonny1, Thank you for your input...I do have a question for you, I am extremely confused with all of the conflicting information coming out right now...I am not asking you for a date or rate, however personally we are hanging on by a thread... The little amount of money we invested in the IQD is not what has put us at risk (financially) other circumstances have! I am hopeful everyday that the RV will happen and pull us out of this mess we are in, my question to you is do you believe that there is reason to be hopeful each day, or is this something I can only hope for later down the road? I ask you this because I respect your opinion and trust in your resources. A response from you would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Basically to try and answer your question, we just access the Online Western Union screen which is somehow connected to our point of sale system (told you I am not a computer wizz) we plug in how much our customer is sending in canadian $$ and the system converts it to the amount of dinar they will receive based on the daily rate, so as of yestersay I plugged in 1 canadian dollar and the person receiving it would get $1135 dinar at a cost to me of $12.00 as it costs an $11.00 fee to send it. Hope this answers your question.
  4. Hello everyone, I work for a company that is a Western Union agent. I am just a Customer Service Rep. I go to work everyday hoping that the dinar revalues just like everyone else. My question is for anyone that understands Western Union and how it works. I wire money everyday to various countries all over the world, something interesting about sending money to Iraq from Canada is that they can only receive it in dinars. Some other countries offer both their local currency and the USD. Now I have no sources and I am not a computer wizz I am trying to decipher good and real info from all the crap that is posted here. I check the rates daily on Western Union to see if there is any major change, do you think that if the rates were to change that Western union would be updated immediately? And this could be a good source for me to obtain accurate information from?
  5. Hi everyone, I don't know about all of you but I am extremely confused about this investment. I am just a person who was told about this possibility of a revaluation and invested a little money hoping for the best outcome. Then I really started to research the and have learned a lot about iraq and politics. I thought I had an understanding about RD, LOP's and RV but this deleteing the 000's and raising the 000's and RV then RD has got me so confused I am feeling sick. I guess I want to know if it is still possible for a straight up RV? I don't know what to think anymore so a little help from thoes who can explain things simply would be appreciated. Not looking for a debate on which way it is going to go there seems to be enough of that going around, but I am completely confused after reading so many different articles.
  6. Heinzy444, I too am from Canada and have purchased my IQD from continental currency exchange in Niagara, I contacted CCE around here about 2 weeks ago after Barriegirl posted and they told me that they could no longer get the IQD from their supplier, I contacted CCE in Toronto (on yorkdale) yesterday and got some bogus line about the IQD being obsolete, and they can no longer obtain it, so IMO there is something going on. I sure hope you are right and this is going to happen this weekend, my family certainly could use a boost financially. Good luck to all, and thanks for posting!
  7. Hey everyone, a few weeks ago Sonny1 posted about a large chunk of the DFI funds being converted into dinar, I found this information very interesting and exciting and I was just hoping for a follow up. Has anyone herd anymore about this?(I may not be 100% correct, if I am not my apologies to Sonny1, but this was my understanding from that post)
  8. Good for you Smee2, it's too bad others are not BIG enough to apologize for their disrespectful remarks! +1 from me for the apology!
  9. Hey Barriegirl, I too am from Ontario, after reading your post a very good friend of mine called continental currency here where we have been buying our dinars from. He was told that they will not be selling anymore and that their supplier could no longer obtain them. Just trying to confirm what you have stated! GREAT NEWS!!! Let's hope!!!
  10. Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone else feels as unsure as I do? For the past few weeks I felt as though great positive strides were being made in iraq, and things seemed to be moving closer to the dinar revaluation becoming a reality, however there seems to be no positive news the last few days (except for the regular guru BS) and now I am left feeling completely confused, unless I am missing something. Any input is appreciated!
  11. Thanks everyone for your insight. Greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone for your insight. Greatly appreciated!
  12. Hello everyone, I don't post very much as I am not very well versed in the area of world economics or foreign currency. I am also afraid to put something out there and be laughed at or bashed for my lack of knowledge, but I am here EVERYDAY reading and learning as much as I can. Now my question is simply is there any truth to the IQD being worth $3.22 to the USD prior to the devaluation of the currency? If so was that rate internationally recognized? I am asking this because if this is the case and their currency was worth that one day then the next day was all of a sudden worthless, is it not a possibility that it could "magically" just be restored to it's previous value? If iraq could support the currency value back then, then why could they not support such a value now? If this was not the internationally recognized rate then what was? Please be kind with your responses I am not implying anything here just trying to explore this point a little.

  14. Best news yet!!! VERY EXCITED!!! Come on RV!!!!!!!
  15. Hey everyone, as things seem to be moving quickly towards the RV I decided to start contacting some banks here in Canada. I called Bank of Canada, TD bank, Royal Bank of Canada and Scotia Bank All of them told me they don't deal with the iraq dinar. If anyone knows where I might be able to try I would greatly appreciate it. I did not call the branches I contacted all of their head offices so I am quite concerned!
  16. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to ask if anyone else is getting tired of all of the up's and downs?? I am starting to feel sick from this roller coaster we are on!! I have taken a few small breaks from my daily reading and that helped to get me through the weekend, however I am really having difficulty today with trying to stay positive? I am so confused!! Why does it seem today that there is NOTHING going on?? Or have I missed something?
  17. I just want to say that I look forward to ANY input from Scooter regarding this investment. I have learned a lot from his research and his postings. PLEASE don't stop posting YOUR EDUCATED OPINIONS as they are respected and appreciated by most!! Take care and know that the MAJORITY of people here are good hearted and descent, unfortunately there are always a few in the crowd that try to spoil things. Take it for what it's worth (ZERO) and move on. THANKS AGAIN for EVERYTHING YOU CONTRIBUTE!!!!
  18. Thank you all for your replies I do appreciate them. I guess I will go with the one day at a time way of thinking and hope for the best possible outcome for everyone involved. Thanks again!
  19. This is for all of the seasoned investors out there. I am a self taught newbie with minimal knowledge (compared to you) I am reading a lot however. I have been on here for a couple of months trying to learn as much as I can. My question is simply how close do you really think we are to RV day. I ask this only because it is my understanding that there have been times in the past where RV was "imminent" and nothing occurred. I am emotionally exhausted with the ups and downs. I give you all a tremendous amount of credit for hanging in there for so long, not to sure if I could have. Anyway just looking for some honest insight as to how I should be feeling about this. Excited, Nervous, or just take it as it comes...1 day at a time? I respectfully request your opinions.
  20. Hey everyone I am thinking of becoming a VIP member however I am wondering if it is worth it for me as I am Canadian. Most of you are Americans and I just want to know if the information that Adam has put together would benefit me as well?
  21. Hello everyone, I have been reading this site for a few months now and have only posted a couple of times. I am finding however that over the past 4 weeks this has become a place where people are doing nothing but slamming others thoughts and opinions regarding the RV. I have not invested an astronomical amount of money but it's enough that should this RV happen it gives my family a fresh start. When I started reading the DV posts it was simply to try and become more informed regarding my investment now all I am reading is rumors and gurus opinions. People are angry and frustrated as am I but I believe that by responding to these so called gurus you are inviting them to respond and post again and again. All they are looking for is a response to their post. If we stop responding or paying attention to what they are saying then maybe they will go away and this can return to the type of forum it was originally designed to be. Until then I am going to continue to dream about the future which is something that this investment has given me...A chance to dream of a better future. Best Wishes to all!!! GO RV!!!!!!!
  22. Ok everyone I too am a newbie...could someone just make this very simple for me? If I have $100000.00 in dinar and I live in canada and the RV is 1 to 1 after taxes and spreads etc what does that mean for me? All the chatter and differences in opinions have me completely confused!!! A simple answer would be greatly appreciated.
  23. Hey everyone, thank you for responding, I am happy to know that I am not the only one who is confused about all of this. I look forward to learning about this and continue to hope for the best possible outcome for everyone. GO RV!!!!!
  24. Hello Everyone, I am a newbie...I have been sitting back and reading alot of discussion surrounding the revaluation of the dinar and I was hoping that by posting this someone could shed a little light on the situation for me. We recently purchased some dinar (probably peanuts in comparison to most of you) However should it revalue to $0.86 it would be enough to pay off all our debts and give our family a new "fresh start". I guess I am looking for someone to confirm that this is not some kind of pipe dream. I am not a gready person, however I lack in the patience department and with all of the back and forth discussions going on I really don't know what to think?? I find myself reading for hours daily only to be disappointed by the end of the day. I am looking for an honest response as to wether or not the dream of starting over is a viable possibility or is it just something to dream about. Honest answers would be greatly appreciated!
