I have seen mention here and there lately of banks possibly taking 15% for IRS at the time of exchange. One even said that the IRS that is didn’t want to bother with purchase dates and receipts. I find this highly unlikely. With hundreds of millions of dollars in capital gains tax there for the taking, I can’t imagine that the Gestapo, er ah, I mean the IRS, would not want to bother looking at receipts. Remember these are the people who would take 6 months and a dozen agents to pry another nickel out of someone’s grandmother. If anyone has any real intel on this I would like to see it. Please, this is not the rumors section so if it comes from your room mate’s cousin’s neighbor’s brother’s boss’s dog don’t bother. If you can tell me your source but have to shoot me, ditto. Although I’m a newby to DV, I’ve been heavily invested for a long time. I’m sure everyone has noticed the increase in new information coming in lately. It’s been flying in fast of late. I mean, WOW. While there’s always been an ample supply of rumors, these seem to have increased noticeably as well. But there’s something else.................. Misinformation. I’m sure most of us here at DV are aware of the flood of misinformation just before the Dinar RV’d in Kuwait. I know how this misinformation can erode the foundation of your belief in this investment. That is, after all, the intended effect. The people who create this misinformation are good at what they do. Just try not to waver in your belief in your investment based on that misinformation alone. Take a moment to review the positive intel (not rumors) and remind yourself why you made this investment in the first place. Personally I see this new flood of misinformation as a positive indicator that we are indeed getting close. The fat lady may not yet be singing, but I think I heard her clearing her throat. The only advice I can offer those sitting on the edge of they’re seat is to place your seat-backs and tray tables in their fully upright and locked position, make sure your seat belt is securely fastened, and above all, remain calm. Just a quick hello to all to introduce myself.I'm a newby here but not new by any means. I’ve been heavily invested for some time now, and up until today have been content just reading what everyone had to say. Kudos to Adam, Scooter, Doc, and bumper for their fine work and input keeping us all grounded and informed. I have no contacts in Washington or boots on the ground and the only pumping I do is putting air in the tires on my bike from time to time. It seems we're getting close and just wanted to say hello to everyone. Bumper; feel free to relocate this to a different location if necessary.
