I'm not a professional but it could be the euro bouncing around. there is a drop in the USD also so that tells me that it's just the other currencies floating around because the IQD is still at a fixed rate... this is normal. Check the CBI website for the updated exchange rate...I could be wrong but JMO

Why hasn't the CBI been updating their website? the last posted exchange rate was 8/16, the last posted currency auction was posted 8/16 and the last posted CBI auction was 8/15... I know that they just came out of ram a damn a ding dong and had the festival of glutney (which is one of the deadly sins) but they should still should have had one or maybe two days of business this week...maybe they were just to full from feasting for three days and couldn't get off the couch, or they are just waiting for start of business on suday to show the new RV rate, I just don't know... I have been following this for almost 4 years now and completly fail to understand Iraqi politics and their business ethics... So help a brother be inlighten...

I love this rumor also... if true and Iraq revalues above a $1.00 the shock to thier banking system IMO will not hurt them as Eagle 1 stated.. only the countries who need the hard cash will cash out to help their country and the countries who do not need the cash and hold the larger amounts of dinar will simply cash out thier citizians and hold the dinar to trade for oil or gold itself. and this will not hurt the actual money reserves that the CBI is holding on to.
