I do think there is a place called Crazy Canucks in San Pedro. Seems to me I had a beer in there once.

Hope you are not stuck at the Lazy Lizard. Took me 4 days to get out of there once.

I like my toys also. From what I have read, when you go through immigration with a weapon, you have to give it up to the local law and then go through the process. It will need to be marked with some kind of stamp to make it unique to you. And that will be on the application for permit. Long guns and shotguns are no problem unless the shotgun is a short barrel. No AR's. I would suggest going through Corazal for immigration. Or from Chetumal straight to San Pedro. Hopes that helps.

9mm is biggest handgun allowed. 1 long gun, 1 shotgun. You can get a carry permit there. $500 per year and it is open carry. Got much the same restrictions as most states. No bars, no big events. no government buildings, etc. But it is available. Grease the right palms and you can get more. Ammo might be more of a problem. I checked into getting a gun dealer permit and they do have those. So, yes, we can take the toys. Just not as many unless you want to smuggle. And I think that does happen on occasion.

Not blaming you. We just have a sorry bunch up there. I've seen George Carlin and there is a lot of truth there. And I'm very familiar with the oil patch and the way it moves. One guy I knew was a trouble shooter for a drilling company and he was all over the world and another went to work in Saudi Arabia right out of high school and retired from there. Our whole government structure from the county on up is in a sorry state and will not get any better. I'm ready to leave and take my chances elsewhere.

Iraqi PM sacks 26 army commanders for incompetence and graft

Ah, just put them in a pig pen. That will work. -
I think too many people put too much focus on larger banks being able to better serve the customer. All small local banks are allied with a larger bank. It has been that way for many years dating back to the 70's and before. I used to work for a bank back then. The larger banks look for the smaller banks to do business with, to park money overnight, buying loans, providing services that the smaller banks don't want to handle, and a number of other things. If you do business with a smaller bank and you start talking 7 figure transactions, they can get the job done and will if they get a small piece of the pie. And the service is much better and more personal. I do business with a small local bank and have wired money around the world with no problem and usually with no cost. So big is not always better.

Congress on vacation so no laws passed yesterday. -
84 here right now. Wearing shorts. Feel sorry for all those out there.

And I just spent good money on 4 copies. Go figure.

It is not necessary to apologize in advance for GB's humbling loss to the Bears. Just make it RV and all is forgiven. I'm going with or without an RV.

Your tax dollars at work, against you.

Makes one want to scratch the head a little.

Pretty well sums it up. The only thing I could add is that East-West and North-South roads usually do not run that way.

Ditto again!
