  1. Wow, that was a jump... Sounds like Bang is simply saying he has a circle of friends who have an understanding of economics as it relates to a RV and, they share that knowedge with him. Bang may have a basic understanding of economics and his friends may include a bank manager or finance loan officer or an Economics Instructor down at the local juinor college who have a little more understanding than he. I didn't see where he came off as if he knew a general or president or something.... George

  4. I don't know the specifics but I understand the basic fundementals of 'borrowing' equity to finance expansion. Much like a homeowner or businessman seeking capital to remodel or expand, a lending institution is sought out that will agree to the current value in relationship to the future value. Because electricity is needed to build the infrastructure of the 'new' Iraq which is petro-based, the GOI does not have to pay for the expansion up front. With out effecting the RV, the GOI can 'take a second out' for lack of a better term, on the estimated oil in the ground. The financial institution backing the construction project will be paid over an unknown period of time after the power plants come on line and the oil starts flowing. Of course all Iraq contracts are going to be paid in Dinar but the RV has nothing to do with the value of those contracts; it's the current value of the oil in the ground in relationship to its future value. In other words; 'petro dollars'. $6.25 billion is still $6.25 billion whether it is converted to Won or Dinar. This is a very positive sign that world economic powers are supporting the stablization and success of Iraq. George
  5. LOL! Too easy. They take the two zeros from the lop, stand them on top of each other to make an 8. 8 = 여덟 Korean Won = .00709629 US! Plenty worthless money to go arouund without effecting the RV. George.
  6. Viva...Viva Las Baghdad! Gotta power up all those new refineries - gonna take a lot of juice to push the product all the way to Doha. George
  7. "Iraq plans to sign contracts with Caterpillar Inc., German-owned MAN SE and at least one South Korean company to build 50 new power plants, Bloomberg reported March 23, citing Iraqi Electricity Minister Raad Shallal. The contracts are expected to be signed the week of March 27 and are valued at $6.25 billion. The plants should each be capable of generating 100 megawatts and are projected to be operational in the summer of 2012." Stratfor Global Intelligence. 50 new 100 megawatt power plants projected to be on line by summer of 2012 - they are serious about turning the lights back on in Iraq! George
  8. Did somebody say Open Mike Night? I had a woman down in Alabama She was a backwoods girl, but she sure was realistic She said, Boy, without a doubt, have to quit your mess and straighten out You could die down here, be just another accident statistic There's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. All that foreign oil controlling American soil Look around you, it's just bound to make you embarrassed Sheiks walking around like kings, wearing fancy jewels and nose rings Deciding America's future from Amsterdam and to Paris And there's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. Man's ego is inflated, his laws are outdated, they don't apply no more You can't rely no more to be standing around waiting In the home of the brave, Jefferson turning over in his grave Fools glorifying themselves, trying to manipulate Satan And there's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. Big-time negotiators, false healers and woman haters Masters of the bluff and masters of the proposition But the enemy I see wears a cloak of decency All non-believers and men stealers talking in the name of religion And there's slow, there's slow train coming up around the bend. People starving and thirsting, grain elevators are bursting Oh, you know it costs more to store the food than it do to give it They say loose your inhibitions, follow your own ambitions They talk about a life of brotherly love, show me someone who knows how to live it There's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. I don't care about economy, I don't care about astronomy But it's sure do bother me to see my loved ones turning into puppets There's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. Bob Dylan George
  9. Thanks Hammy for the ‘grounding’ post. Bible Basics: God created man and a time table for fellowship with man. Man rebelled and severed that fellowship; fallen man. God provided salvation through grace to reestablish fellowship. 'Owe no man anything, but to love one another; for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.’ Rom 13:8 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. Acts 2:17 Cannon closed with warnings. ‘For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;’ Rev 22:18 God’s time table for fallen man ends. The three scriptures listed provide a very basic but healthy rule of thumb for ‘Last Day’ believers: 1) Get out of debt and love one another with the Grace from above. If one is not in debt to a bank, corporation or another man, that individual is free to move about, fulfill the Great Comission and to live a life of liberty. 2) Yes, there will be claims of visions and dreams sent by God. Test the spirit and know there is no ‘new’ prophecy regarding salvation or ‘end times’. This does not mean there will not be ‘dreams’ and ‘visions’ from God or that there will not be miracles or healings; it means there is no ‘new’ prophecy regarding His Outline and Timeline. 3) Know the importance of Rev 22:18 & 19 and its meaning as well as one does John 3:16 & Rom 8:28. 10. GALLNIPPER > “yes, i was wondering why we, as a society, don't follow yahweh's rules anymore.” That’s a good question; however, it assumes society did at one time follow God’s rules. What leads you to believe society has ever followed God’s rules? “we don't we pay the fifty pieces of silver. if it's because the rules have changed, why did yahweh change them? “ You are referencing laws, conduct and penalties directed toward the ancient Israelites at a time when they were transforming from a nomadic people to a static society; mostly agrarian. As I pointed out in the earlier post, the sum of money and marriage clause was for the unmarried woman’s benefit for having become damaged goods. What you refer to as ‘pieces of silver’ was actually a currency called ‘Shekels’. It is difficult to perform a currency conversion to equate the ancient Shekel to a value in today’s dollars but most theologians believe it could be anywhere between $750.00 and $20,000.00. Or, if you prefer to keep the value related to the forum; 877,500.00 to 23,400,000.00 IQD. Taking the low value of the Shekel would provide one year’s income in today’s Central African Republic. Taking the high value would provide twenty six years of income in the same country. Certainly, a fair compensation for the assault considering that in the modern world, USA in general and California specifically, there is no compensation awarded the victim at the conclusion of a criminal rape trail. In addition to 3 – 6- 8 years in prison, the state can fine the perpetrator up to $10,000.00 but that money goes to the state. Upon conviction the victim can then sue the perpetrator for damages. The Israelite system provided just compensation for the woman right up front. The Israelite system also called for the rapist of a married woman to be put to death! But more to the point of your question; ‘We’ don’t pay the fifty shekels, because we are not ancient Israelites. Yes, the ancient civil/criminal rules have changed but that does not mean God changed them. Each culture provides conduct codes specific to that culture that can appear excessive or, too liberal to other cultures but the underlying value of a conduct code, particularly as it relates to murder and rape, is the preservation of human life. And to that regard God’s rules have not changed. If you have any other sincere questions, I’d be glad to address them but, I agree with some of the Dinar Vets that this may not be the proper place to discuss ‘all things theological’. PM at will. George
  11. Can you be more specific with your personal observation of apparent scriptural contradiction? I believe the Bible is inerrant and therefore 'hold faith' precisely because it does not contradict itself. George
  12. Most persons of faith consider choices and opportunities before them and events that affect their lives through their faith. Persons of similar faiths discuss this dynamic among themselves in an attempt to understand or to recognize an attribute or function of their faith as having been confirmed. It is obvious there are Christians who hold the Dinar as an investment. The Dinar is a currency steeped in Middle East history and that history cannot be told without considering the two main faiths in the region; Judaism and Islam. Christians and Jews share a belief in the same God and the origins of man but not of the Savior and end of history. The core of the original ‘Christian’ posts was a dialogue between Christians regarding ‘what ifs’ and ‘maybes’ in relationship to their responsibilities and understanding of Biblical prophecy; tithe, not to tithe, take care of others, be held accountable for the blessing etc. I have not yet read where any Christian has said to buy or sell nor had a dream of stacks of Dollars bowing down to the Dinar based upon Biblical interpretation. Some persons who have freely entered the conversation and challenged the Christian’s faith have been provided answers but that can hardly be called propaganda, particularly, when the discussion was primarily intended for Christian investors of the Dinar. And, some persons are just generally annoyed by anyone or thing that is Christian; they troll, they taunt and they tease sometimes to the extent of using offensive slurs such as ‘Sheeple’. I have found these types of persons usually refer to Muslim’s as ‘Rag Heads’ or ‘Camel Jockeys’ and Jews as ‘Kykes’ or ‘Money grubbers’ and yet, this intolerance and bigotry is presented without humility and with great pride and pseudo-intellectualism. Facing a wall of doctrine that invites them to examine on their own, they simply throw stones and order the person of faith to go away, be out of sight, and be silent… just like every other boring tyrant the world has known. 13. > GALLINIPPER - Wondering...? ‘Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.’ Mat 7:7 ‘For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed’ Malachi 3:6 ‘Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.’ Psalm 119-89 ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever.’ Hebrew 13:8 ...to Wonderment! 14. From Onyxbits.de: "When a man had raped an unmarried/young woman in old Israel, he had literally turned her into "damaged goods". She would not have been able to find a "respectable" husband afterwards and therefore she would also not have been able to start a family of her own. The implication of this being that the crime deprived her of any chances to gain what was then considered to be social security, health insurance or old-age pension. As much as any feminist today must shiver with the mere thought of a woman being sold to her rapist, this is not what it was seen as in those days, at all. Deuteronomy 22:28-29 describes a law suit where the cause of action is not so much the violation itself but the consequences it bears on the victim's future. Namely, the financial loss she could be expected to suffer by not being able to start a family for her own support. The court rule is an attempt to make the violator pay damage repair by forcing him into a marriage and (most importantly) denying him the right to divorce, which he normally would have had (Deut. 24:1-2). In other words: what we see as adding insult to injury today was actually putting the woman in a very strong legal position back then. She became financially secured in a way she could not have archived by a regular marriage. Now, one could of course point out the insanity of forcing a woman to live with an abusive husband. This, however, is only insane by modern day standards. In biblical times, women generally did not pick their husbands themselves. The idea of a love marriage is a relatively new concept in western societies and has only been around since the romantic era. Before that, marriage was typically arranged by the family and about support, political influence or financial benefit. In ancient Palestine, a woman's consent was not a requirement to anything. The rule of thumb simply was: you married whom your family picked and you had sex when your husband decided to have it. Women were not emancipated and thinking of domestic violence as a crime did not cross anybody's mind (including the women's - compare it to the situation in poor Arabic countries, where women, subject to the same treatment, do not rebel either). Whether or not it was ok to force a woman into having sex pretty much was only a question of whether or not you were married to her. So, what's the conclusion here? The laws in the bible were created by a bronze age society for a bronze age society which, given the circumstances and available resources, had to set their priorities differently than we do today. The kind of harm, we can nowadays easily compensate with modern medicine or insurance systems, was often a matter of life and death back then."
  15. Thanks Hammy – Actually, it was a rhetorical question intended for one to consider the weight of the matter similar to the challenge in Luke 14:28, “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have [sufficient] to finish [it]”. In comparison with the directive in Rev 18:4 to, “…come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Again, speaking within context of the relationship of the Dinar and End Times, it appears that there is a clear delineation in time and within the world culture where the people of God are to separate themselves from that culture. Could it be that the RV of the Dinar is part of that delineation in that it is God’s blessing for those who have ‘come out from her’ and that the ‘cost’ should be considered when spending that blessing? Further, when that cost has been considered and understood, thatunderstanding will serve as a warning not to drink from that well again; God’s people will go one way and those intent with resurrecting the financial Tower of Babel will go another… In other words, not only a once in a lifetime deal for the individual but the last deal in the lives of men, period. George
  16. I read with interest these posts on Eschatology (End Times) and how Iraq and the Dinar play a part in Biblical Prophecy. I had just read a DV post on Iraq coins and decided to examine some smaller denominations in my possession when to my surprise I saw that on the 250 Dinar note there appears to be an image of the Tower of Babel. I have spent some time in the Middle East and have seen architecture similar to the ‘tower’ represented on the 250 Dinar note but in Oman. It is possible the ‘tower’ simply represents that the spirit and commitment of ancient people working together to develop industry still exists in modern Iraq. On the other hand, taking the faith claims of Christianity and Biblical Prophecy as true, and if the ‘tower’ on the 250 Dinar is representative of the Tower of Babel mentioned in the Bible, it appears that the forces behind the reconstruction of Iraq intend to ‘pick-up’ where they left off. Intrigued, I reviewed the ‘Tower of Babel’ story as presented in the King James translation as well as the translated Hebrew text of the Septuagint. The story is virtually identical and takes place on the plain of Shinar within the boundaries of Mesopotamia. The Arabic translation is ‘bilad alrafidayn’ referring to the Tigris-Euphrates Rivers within Iraq. As the story begins there is only one language and common speech for the whole world: 1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Genesis 11:1-4 KJV Slime? What is this slime they used for mortar? The Hebrew word is ‘Chemar’ and is defined in the Gesenius Lexicon as; “…bitumen, which boils up from subterranean fountains like oil or hot pitch, in the vicinity of Babylon, and also near the Dead Sea, and from its bottom; it afterwards harden through the heat of the sun, and is collected on the surface of the Dead Sea, which hence receives the name of lacus asphaltites. Some of you Oil Men will recognize bitumen in its crude form as a sticky tar-like form of petroleum that must be heated before it will flow; when it cools it becomes hard like mortar. Refined bitumen is obtained by fractional distillation of crude oil. Comparing the ‘Tower of Babel’ story with modern current events lends credence to ‘End Times’ scenarios. At the very least it should bring an ‘hmmm’ to mind. While there are three major differences within the Christian faith regarding the ‘End Times’; Pre-Tribulation, Mid-Tribulation and Post Tribulation, they all agree that a One World Government will emerge with a financial system that all persons will have to agree to partake in or essentially starve. If modern day Iraq is fulfilling Biblical Prophecy by building a financial system based upon petroleum that binds the modern world’s economies into one; essentially supporting the development of the rule of the Anti-Christ, where does that place the Christian possessing Dinars? Is this a moral dilemma of Biblical proportion? George
  17. Newbie first post – I’m not posting to share an opinion but an observation of our times and to offer encouragement. I am not an expert, nor do I have any inside information or connections. I try to balance out my opinions with facts and possible alternatives. I pretty much keep those opinions to a close group of friends that allow give or take with the understanding that an opinion shared is part of the gleaning process to understand the issue at hand. I am an investor of the Dinar. It is just that; an investment. My hopes and dreams are not tied into the success or failure of the Dinar or any other investment I make. What makes the Dinar investment unique is not so much the possibility of a solid return but the possibility of real wealth becoming available to those with very little investment experience all because they took a chance; sorta like gambling but with a crash course in financial ‘what if’s’ attached. In the end, it’s all good. Most will come away with a better understanding of the financial world around us. With that growing understanding some have expressed fear and anger regarding the possibility that their hopes and dreams will not come to fruition or that because of an oppressive taxation they voice plans to expatriate either financially or physically. Some have expressed concerns that with the Global Economy or New World Order master planned by men and organizations in the shadows America is doomed. What has happened to the America we love? What is happening to America that seemingly is crushing our hope? Will an offshore account or corporation change the inevitable? Offshore accounts and incorporation do provide certain benefits, but do they/ will they re-instill hope for the American Dream? These strategies are recent phenomena that have come into existence for the service of those who find the effort of protecting assets less demanding than holding our own government representatives accountable. Law makers make the law on behalf of the American people. Who votes them into office…? Freedom and Liberty exist in our hearts and minds. Our Founding Fathers acknowledged ‘this truth’. This is the premise to each of our sovereignty and the basis of the 4th Amendment. We truly are a free people. We already have the liberty to pursue happiness until we die. That freedom, liberty and happiness already exists within our homes, our families and friends. We know exactly what that means deep down within each of our hearts and souls. Yes, we know there is a media and cultural definition of Liberty and Freedom that stretches our understanding and patience. We know the Federal Government attempts to redefine the American Dream through regulation. But, we also know those institutions lack the power and authority to replace what we know in our heart of hearts with bureaucratic mumble speak. America is great and Americans prevail by having recognized this truth in conjunction with hard work. Each one of us has a trade, skill or labor that we may freely present to the market place for currency. Currency may rise or fall but our individual self worth remains the same and I would go so far as to say ‘Priceless’. Don’t sell yourself short. YOU are that offshore account. YOU are that financial institution that will provide the best rate for your family. YOU are that lobbyist that will influence the lawmaker to adjust tax law and the next election. The Dinar? It’s just another tool or opportunity for you to consider how best to use with the wealth of Liberty and Independence you already possess. Kind Regards, George
