  1. OK, so no new software for XP from Microsoft - don't care. No future support - don't care. Exposed? Don't think so - that's what Norton 360 is for! Bunch of hype to make us spend money on newer Windows. Give me a huge discount on the new version and I'll consider it. Peace and Prosperity
  2. Glad they have printed some lower denoms, but wish they did not have any big ones (sigh). I want to see the Ones and fils!!! Peace and prosperity
  3. History of Iraqi currency, coins (fils) used to be commonly used (coin pocket in pants), we need to drop the zeros so we can use coins again, real problem with ability to counterfeit current shoddy paper money. In the ways of thinking meshuganna and weighty practice for the purpose of news current and any hope of progress future and seeing this caravan finalized in lifetime soon, my sensing meaning Arabish becoming nature as intended. My goutra into ring is placed for next government to lead as Prime Minister for integrity and working with blocks political and CoM and betterment of people Iraqi and unity maintain! Peace and Prosperity
  4. How about a big fat RV "Shock and Awe" event. That would impress me! Peace and prosperity
  5. Sorry, but I challenge ALL the supposed unchallenged "facts" Eagle1 starts with. EO 13303 was NOT created so we could buy IQD. We have NO evidence the US Treasury has IQD. We have NO evidence the value of the IQD was tanked in order to benefit from an RV. I believe there will be an RV, and the above ASSUMPTIONS could turn out to be true, but I object to guesses being presented as facts, then providing the foundation for an elaborate theory. This would be very bad science. Heck, I could live with just a float and waiting for it to go high enough to justify cashing out. (Not my first choice). Peace and Prosperity P.S. Geeze I hope the fools don't grant Maliki Emergency Powers (dare I say Dictatorship?).
  6. I expect no denominations, just weights. No confusion, just current market value. Unless they put Maliki's image on them, then they'll be worthless.
  7. This provides a really good synopsis of the conflict that isn't in Arabish. Fantastic find! Both sides are going to HAVE to agree on something soon. Both governments are starving for funds, but I think both presidents would rather eat camel dung than give the other side any kind of "win." Prepare the camel dung curry! Peace and Prosperity
  8. So, my understanding is that the Kurds will export as much oil as they wish, but the first 100,000 barrels will go through SOMO so Baghdad gets its profits, and the Kurds get all the profits from the remainder. In exchange, Baghdad will provide less money to Kurdistan's government in the budget since Iraq wanted 400,000 barrels through SOMO. What I don't know is how much oil the Kurds are currently physically able to export. This would make the KRG more financially independent, but Baghdad would have to share less of its money, so sounds reasonable to me. Problem is, Baghdad wants ALL the oil money so they can hold the purse strings (and can therefore steal more?). We shall see. Peace and Prosperity
  9. "Support" is not the same as military aid, and of course Turkey would love to see the Kurds leave Iraq. Both would be weaker separate. However - and this is why I don't believe this happened, or Turkey is just stringing them along - An independent Kurdistan bordering Turkey would REALLY encourage the Kurds in Turkey (lots of those) to secede from Turkey to join them. OR - Turkey plans to "annex" the fledgling country for its oil. I made a Kurdish friend in Wyoming while I was still long-hauling. We discussed Iraq and the dinar a few times, and he made it clear that they did not care less about enabling an RV. Independence is and always will be their primary goal. He is convinced that the discovery of oil before the end of the big war caused the allies to keep Kurdistan split instead of giving it independence like they promised. I'm not saying I blame them at all. Of course they want all their people to have an independent homeland again. And they have the natural resources to be a prosperous and powerful country. I have no problem with this goal, but I want the RV to happen first!!! Does this make me a bad person? My other retirement investment is in all sorts of trouble right now - under investigation as a possible scam (or just under attack 'cause the SEC doesn't like it), so without the RV, no retirement for me. Even a modest RV will provide the capital to invest for an eventual retirement when I'm hopefully still fit enough to really enjoy it, and not just sit around the house all day. Peace and Prosperity, and a chance to live to the fullest
  10. Too bad politicians everywhere can't be required to turn over a portrait of themselves if elected - a portrait done by the same artist that painted Dorian Grey. Then all the portraits would be kept on public display. The world needs to end the concept of "career politician." Term limits for all elected positions, and limitations on what else an office holder can run for next. And let's eliminate political parties! I am sick of people no one has voted for controlling so much of the system. Individuals running for office on their own merits without any political machinery intervention. Nuff said. Peace, Prosperity and Governmental Integrity
  11. I'm with JeepGuy - this is pretty meaningless since it is in FUTURE tense. Nobody's signed squat yet. The Iraqi press has a real problem with printing absolutely anything without proper confirmation. Wish I could sue them for false hopes. Ha. Peace and Prosperity
  12. Too bad all those debts didn't just die with Saddam. A good thing they have a massive legal team on this, because what a way to perpetrate a HUGE fraud. You know organizations, even countries, are trying. Peace, Prosperity, and keeping funds to allow a bigger RV!
  13. I didn't see where the press release tells where to buy the smart cards from the poor who are willing to sell their vote, and how to use them to help get the corrupt officials elected. Or are these new cards and the system that uses them really that tamper proof? We've been reading that the going rate is $500 per card. You know there are groups working very hard to figure out a way to beat this system. How hack-proof is the network registering the votes? No paper ballots, no hanging chads, no muss or fuss to steal the election. Just sayin' Peace, Prosperity, and the right of the people to choose
  14. Of course, a law that relates to new currency going into effect only means that any currency printed after that time must adhere to the new regulation. SO, I'm afraid as a date it is pretty meaningless. The new denoms could already exist and be in country, or not be printed until whenever. Still, laws that will help make the Kurds happy are a good thing for us. A positive step. Too bad we can't see the CBI's books to find out if they have paid for the printing of the new currency yet. Better still, the shipping costs! (I work in the shipping industry - too bad that doesn't give me the inside scoop!) Hey! A new Guru Intel source! "I know a exec of an international freight company and we have a huge shipment from Switzerland to Iraq ..." Peace and Prosperity
  15. Show me the new money!! And the NEW RATE!!! Everywhere I see articles about worn out currency, real HCL news, people wanting the IQD to be worth more, and how big the CBI reserves are. Would somebody please push the damn button already! Peace and Prosperity, but I'm sick of being Patient!
  16. "Old warrant"? More like "Speak out against me and see what happens!" from al-Malarky. Peace and Prosperity and getting this done already!
  17. One of the details that keeps showing up as a key factor gives me the most hope: If all they plan is to redenominate, WHO CARES HOW BIG THE CBI RESERVES ARE? You don't need wealth to print new money with fewer zeros. An old 1000 IQD note is now a new 1 IQD note. Both notes are worth about $0.86. You just need to be able to pay the printing costs. If, however, you want the current notes to become worth more so smaller denoms become necessary for daily transactions, then big reserves are a MUST. Clearly the CBI thinks they need big reserves to pull off the changeover, so I am definitely holding onto my IQD! Peace and Prosperity
  18. At first I feared they were trying to wrest control away from the CBI, but now I see this as a good and necessary step. I think the CBI has been pushing for this for a while. This brings us closer. Peace and Prosperity
  19. I was just wondering if the CBI has a particular low auction total in mind as an RV trigger? Let's say if the average during one week of auctions is below $75 million, then the amount of IQD out there is now low enough, and the profits for the CBI from the auctions is tapering off enough, that NOW IS THE TIME to really push for the RV? Just a thought I decided to share. Peace and Prosperity
  20. What's all the excitement about? All I see is an article about the CBI selling bonds and how this is a standard tool for controlling the money supply and bringing in funds for the budget in an inflation-neutral manner. It is an open market strategy in that the market will determine what the bonds are worth, just as the selling price of US bonds fluctuate even though their eventual payoff face value stays the same. Sorry, but I see no RV indicators in this. Peace and Prosperity
  21. I read enough of the telecom and media regs to wonder if Maliki can continue getting away with having at least one of the papers in his pocket printing whatever he wants them to. Peace, Prosperity and Freedom of the Press
  22. I see lots of charges, but what about convictions? Don't like a candidate? No problem, just charge them with something! Plus, why isn't Maliki and most of the current GOI on that list??? Just sayin' Peace and Prosperity and the Corrupt finally reaping what they sow.
  23. I thought the idea was to de-dinarize via the CBI auctions, then RV (fewer outstanding Dinar) THEN de-dollarize. Peace and ....
  24. Ditto on the coconut oil. It appears to contain a fatty acid that crosses the blood-brain barrier and is used to create the enzyme that breaks down the protein that becomes the damaging plaque. There are indications that it also removes plaque that has already developed. Unfortunately, there is no money to fund a proper study. Maybe a bunch of us can create a foundation to support a set of organic studies post RV. Kick Big Pharma's butt. That's a legacy I could live with. Peace, Prosperity and better health without chemistry
