  1. I thought at first that this was the best dinar site - the thing that has changed since then is that these forum discussions are becoming arenas of gladiatorial combat. They are not verbal debates. They are sword fights to the death... take no prisoners. There is a spirit in this that's discernible and strong and evil. Who wants that? Not me.
  2. The concept of Free Will is only partly correct. The will of man is 'free' to rebel against the knowledge of God. But rebellion against God is actually a spiritual force "called the spirit of lawlessness". What a paradoxical entrapment the enemy has laid for men. He has freed us from God's Garden to take us as a captive of lawlessness into hell. And you may never escape that "freedom" to which you are irreparably bound from ever returning to the Garden, but by the Grace of God. Since Adam, man has been freed from God and from all that He has planned for His creation. Only Jesus made a way back to the Garden. Only the Father by the still small voice of The Spirit of Truth and Wisdom, will empower the human mind to know the Truth, to see the reality of his horrible predicament... and understand that the only Way back... to salvation... is that the sinless Messiah became your sacrificial substitute... The Righteous for the guilty. He took your sin and condemnation. Not one soul will perish for sins. All of that was settled by the infamous execution of the innocent Messiah Jesus, on a hill outside Jerusallem called Calvary, But you must take His righteousness. That my friend, you can only do by believing the Gospel. If all that sounds like foolishness to you, I am so sorry that you are so wise. It was prophesied that not many wise can enter into The Kingdom of God. I say to you, repent. "Repent", apart from the graphic images that the word brings up in the conjures of our minds, it simply means to "change your mind". Change your mind my friend and be saved. This message has no designated recipient. It's to whomsoever "will". And if you find that that 'will' is not in you, you're right. It is also a gift. You have to receive that as well. This way, you see, no flesh will have anything to glory in, except in Jesus, the only Redeemer of the race of men taken captive by 'freedom' - freedom from God.
  3. Well put 'akeskimo'. Enjoyed this tremendously!
  4. Brothers and sisters, consider what you were when God called you to be Christians. Not many of you were wise from a human point of view. You were not in powerful positions or in the upper social classes. But God chose what the world considers nonsense to put wise people to shame. God chose what the world considers weak to put what is strong to shame. God chose what the world considers ordinary and what it despises—what it considers to be nothing—in order to destroy what it (the world) considers to be something. As a result, no one can brag in God's presence. You are partners with Christ Jesus because of God. {not your Free Will — Jesus said "No man is able to come to me if the Father who sent me does not give him the desire to come: and I will take him up from the dead on the last day. {cf.John 6:44 (BBE)} Jesus has become our wisdom sent from God, our righteousness, our holiness, and our ransom from sin. The Scripture says, “Whoever brags must brag about what the Lord has done” (nothing else) {1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (GW)} ... certainly not about his "wise choice". And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel. Instead, he must be kind to everyone. He must be a good teacher. He must be willing to suffer wrong. He must be gentle in correcting those who oppose the Good News. Maybe God will allow them to change the way they think and act and lead them to know the truth. Then they might come back to their senses and God will free them from the devil's snare so that they can do his will. {2 Timothy 2:24-26 (GW)} I solemnly call on you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who (himself) is going to judge those who are living and those who are dead. I do this because Christ Jesus will come to rule (this world) Be ready to spread the word whether or not the time is right. (such as this time, and this place) Point out errors, warn people, and encourage them. Be very patient when you teach. A time will come when people will not listen to accurate teachings. Instead, they will follow their own desires and surround themselves with teachers who tell them what they want to hear. People will refuse to listen to the truth and turn to myths. But you must keep a clear head in everything. {2 Timothy 4:1-5 (GW)} I'd rather quote three words from The Lord's mouth than speak five thousand of my own... but... "since it's common for people to brag, I'll do it too. You're wise, so you'll gladly put up with fools." {2 Corinthians 11:18-19 (GW)} You'll understand, therefore, my forum name: wadaba - sounds foolish eh? ! I've said enough here (but not in my own words) to stir up believer and unbeliever alike. I hope that the One God will use them for blessing all of you. I hope they were spoken in His Spirit — as much as they were in His own words. That would be in the Spirit of Love. May the Lord bless us all... and forgive me if I've sounded "Smart-Alekky"
  5. Ban, listen to me. You are not "dead in the spirit". How could you know that— the Bible says "the dead know nothing." What you are is wounded and bruised, not dead. What you thought you knew is not knowledge but a lie. The liar has told you this, not the Lord. Obviously, Ban, YOU BELONG TO HIM, and I believe that the Lord has allowed you to be brought down to lift you higher than you ever were before. Do you know that the Lord God Almighty is mighty to save? He is THE GOD THAT SAVES. Yet the liar has told you that for YOU there is no help. Do you know that the Lord is the WARRIOR GOD of ISRAEL? He fights for His people when they call upon Him. Even whenThe Lord became angry with the people of Israel and He used King Cushan Rishathaim of Aram Naharaim to defeat them, so that Israel served Cushan Rishathaim for eight years, but when the people cried out to the Lord for help, the Bible says (listen Ban) "The Lord sent a savior to rescue them. It was Othniel, son of Caleb's younger brother Kenaz." (Judges 3.9) The Lord God loves His own. He says, "I call you by name; you're mine. When you go thru floods and rivers, they won't destroy you: even flames won't kindle on you." All these floods and fires Ban - they're mental, they're spiritual trials; testings; temptations; things that wear us out (you are worn out). Listen to Isaiah's words in Isaiah 43.1-4; his words were PURE MERCY, because our sorrows are truly mostly born of our sins. But The Lord sent us a brokenhearted prophet saying "God told me to tell you, you belong to Him!" (Here the Lord is saying He will fight your enemies for you; not because you are good but because you are precious to Him. He will preserve you through everything you go through.)"When the Lord's Spirit came over Othniel (BanG), he became the judge of Israel. He went out to war. The Lord handed King Cushan Rishathaim of Aram Naharaim over to BanG, and BanG overpowered him. So there was finally peace in the land for 40 years." (Judges 3.10) Your peace has come. Be healed and be delivered from your captivity, in Jesus' name. God has not given you the spirit of fear and defeat; but the spirit of love, and peace, and of a sound mind. You shall become as a judge of Israel. [israel means a person (or people) who have prevailed with God. They have obtained His Grace.] You are greatly favored, Ban, and deeply loved. The Lord has heard your crying to Him. "A bruised reed shall he not break, and a smoking wick shall he not quench, till he send forth [His] judgment unto victory. [Matthew 12:20 (KJV)] This is the word of The Lord to you Ban. "He sent his word, and healed [ban], and delivered [him] from [his] destructions." Just receive it. [Psalms 107:20 (KJV)]
  6. Dear friends, "Certainly the Lord will do nothing without making clear his secret to his servants." (BBE -Amos 3:7) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "The lion has roared. Who isn't afraid? The Almighty Lord has spoken. Who can keep from prophesying?" (GW -Amos 3:8) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "That is why I revealed to you what would happen long ago. I told you about them before they happened. {I did this} so you couldn't say, “My gods have done these things. My carved idols and my metal idols have commanded them to happen.” (GW -Isa 48:5) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "Be on your guard! I have told you everything before it happens." (GW -Mk 13:23) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "Behold, I have told you before." (KJV -Mt 24:25) Christ foretells the destruction of the temple ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe." (KJV -Jn 14:29) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To all those named above, and others who have written from the Biblical point of view, I want to say, "Thank You!" I have enjoyed it all tremendously. It's like, after getting everything ready for a long trip, taking a long shower and freshly clean garments before embarking to the terminal for departure. To all others as well who continue to peruse these Bible threads, I'm glad that you are drawn to the light that is the True Light. To some who are scorners yet, you are still with us for whatever you think may be your own reasons — I am glad you are here. To some who are blasphemers, I'm glad you are also drawn to the light. There is hope for you. What's the Bible doing here? The answer is one word which we have come to appreciate the last previous few months more than ever before — "INTEL !" The Lord has always been and always will be a revealer of secrets. But The Lord's secrets are revealed to spiritual people. We are truly about to embark on a trip like we have never taken before. It will be glorious; and it will be hazardous. Some will fall prey to many potholes and pitfalls along the way. This path, believe me, will be lined up with highway-men and robbers; thieves and murderers of all kinds. Some will be taken prisoner in Babylon. Some may not survive. Some families will be tragically broken... needlessly... sadly. This is not a mystery — though I did set it up mysteriously didn't I ? I am saying straightfowardly to all dinarians now... this "blessing", as we have heard it so called, can become a curse. I want to tell everyone of us, we need now more than ever, to trust in The Lord and return to Him a portion (He will show you how— think orphans, think homeless, think Japan, Jamaica, Haiti, etc.), that He will direct our steps and preserve us in the way we are about to embark upon. Whoever will hear these warnings now will save his soul from many sorrows. Many who will not, some who cannot hear, will fall prey to what the Bible calls the deceitfulness of riches. Many will be taken prisoner, as God's people were in ancient Babylon. For this reason I am hoping for good things for all of us, yet I feel compelled to say to many, "The LORD Will Refine His People Before He Rescues Them From Babylon". That is the chapter heading for Isaiah 48. Get financial counsel! The dollar is dying — don't get caught holding it. Don't just cash in your dinars quickly — cash out of your dollars quickly also. I will shut up now. Many will breathe a sigh of relief. To all of you, my fellow-travelers I hope you will receive this blessing from the Bible, from the book of Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV) Look unto The Lord, the giver of all good things richly to enjoy. I am beginning this thread anticiipating an abundance of wisdom to follow that is in our midst here at this Dinar Vets forum. Thanks again all of you. And The Lord bless us all. wadaba
  7. UNBORN —"What is this thread doing here in the first place?" The first place here in this "massive thread of ridiculousness" actually began with two words: "PROPHETIC DINAR". That was my introduction to what my subject would be about. It wasn't a vague title - there's no subtlety there - or hidden meaning whatsoever as to what would be my focus. The entire original post of mine was all about a Prophetical Perspective of the Dinar Investment. I suppose you could have become dismayed that the 'prophecy' I alluded to wasn't from Nostradamus or some other mystic 'oracle' when you drew back the dark veil of a supposed inner sanctum that was instead bathed in the light of the Word Of God. Is that how I fooled you? If so, then, when you realized that you had been snared into a trap of ridiculous Bible discussion, why did you continue so long in it? Maybe your creative juices started flowing when you saw it afforded you a platform with a considerable audience to attack God Himself. Light has come into the world 'UNBORN'. It is the Spirit that you are "unborn" to. You are quite the child of this world. Why don't you stop running from the light. You can't run that fast. It is obviously a hateful thing to you that some here on this forum have NO perspective other than the Biblical perspective — NO world-view other than the Biblical world-view. I am sure that The Lord has directed many of His people into the path of this blessing that is about to come. Did you think He would give it all to god-haters? Did you know He loved you? Did you know that you were on His mind when He said "Father forgive them; they know not what they do." wadaba

    Sad Sad Sad

Psalms 62:3-12 (GW— God's Word Version) How long will all of you attack a person? How long will you try to murder him, as though he were a leaning wall or a sagging fence? [You] plan to force him out of his ...position. [You] are happy to lie. [You] bless with [your] mouths, but in [your] hearts [you] curse... Selah... [means chew on this a while] Wait calmly for God alone, my soul, because my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my savior—my stronghold. I cannot be shaken. My salvation and my glory depend on God. God is the rock of my strength, my refuge. Trust him at all times, you people. Pour out your hearts in his presence. God is our refuge... Selah...[chew on this] Common people are only a whisper in the wind. Important people are only a delusion. When all of them are weighed on a scale, they amount to nothing. They are less than a whisper in the wind. Do not count on extortion {to make you rich}. Do not hope to gain anything through robbery. When riches increase, do not depend on them. God has spoken once. I have heard it {said} twice: “Power belongs to God. Mercy belongs to you, O Lord. You reward a person based on what he has done.” The Bible says "Money answers all things." Ecclesiastes 10:18-19 (GW) It would be better if it could keep its mouth shut some of the time. "v18 A roof sags because of laziness. A house leaks because of idle hands. v19 A meal is made for laughter, and wine makes life pleasant, but money is the answer for everything." Next to the Bible, my favorite source of quotes is Bob Dylan. For example: "Money don't talk—it swears!" Sing it loudly Bobby—like only you can. wadaba
  9. Your writing is excellent and your thinking is too. I so enjoyed your distillations of the ancient with the modern parallels. Especially your last paragraph was very cleverly done. The simple answer to the question you posed there is: "The Christian holding Dinars is in the world but not of the world." I don't mean to make light of your outstanding post, but the answer to your final question ragarding the moral dilemma is also very straightforward. The only possible moral distinction of a Christian's holding dinar is the same whether he's holding dollars, or rupees or rubles or yen. It's "the love of it" that makes it evil. The same Dinar may be used to serve God or Mammon. It's like the story of the old violin... the value lies in who is playing it, and for whose glory. I'd really like to write more about your "presents" to this discussion. but I am still a working man. Time does not allow. I would only add that the use of dinars or dollars in The Lord's work is equally blessed, with a promise of manifold returns, both in this life and in the one to come, which is shortly, I might add, since we may surmise that we are fixed in the interim between the fifth and sixth trumpets in endtime prophetic fulfillments. The American dollar is loaded with Babylonish symbols as well as that dinar note you mentioned. The dollar is sinking fast. The dinar's glory days are ahead of us, but it will have a shorter life than the dollar's run has been. Though we see things prophetically through a vague lens, it seems apparent that the days of the "Mystery Babylon" of proophecy are upon us. Blessings to you, brother George and may the Lord bless our returns in this dinar. wadaba
  10. It’s a whole ‘nuther discussion, and a very interesting one, concerning how much Bible prophecy figures into all this. I for one, began to take stock in Iraq because of prophetic implications. From the many comments and posts I’ve heard and seen, there are quite a few more who are into this Dinar Thing, as I am, with a prophetical viewpoint. I have respect for Merlin and others who put the Biblical perspective into their viewpoints. I’d like more of it. So here’s another one. There’s no question that Iraq today is clearly postulated in Biblical end-times prophecy. Consider Revelation chapter nine, verse eleven, where arises a “king” (amidst considerable vagaries within the context), whose name is stated very clearly as being "Abaddon" in Hebrew or "Apollyon" in Greek. Much is not clear, but here is clearly Saddam Hussein. The writer knew Hebrew and Greek. He did not know the modern Iraqi Arabic language. So He revealed the meaning of the name “Saddam” as it would have been translated into Hebrew or Greek. In other words, the actual meaning of "Saddam", being “Destroyer”, is in fact, the same meaning as both of the names "Abaddon" in Hebrew, and "Apollyon" in Greek. Since the writer (John) didn’t know the language of the one he was prophetically profiling, he revealed him by the meaning of his name in not one, but two languages that both he and his readers knew, the Hebrew and the Greek. It’s amazing if you think about it. He pre-named "Saddam" precisely - by definition - in the two main languages of his day. I am writing these comments of mine to whoever has ears to hear and eyes to see, not to the prophetically deaf and blind. For this forum, lengthy arguments or apologetics are inappropriate, so you’ll have to accept it, or not, for yourselves in your own minds. However for those who are still reading with an open mind, the profile of this end-time king continues by naming the place where he evolves as “at the great river Euphrates”. The Euphrates lies mostly in Iraq today; about seventy-five percent of it is within Iraq’s borders. All of this is to say that Iraq is definitely linked in end-times prophecy… the fifth and sixth trumpets of "the seven trumpets" which the Bible iterates as endtime 'trumpet events' or signposts, which lead to the return of Jesus Christ to rule the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Now I have lost some of my readers there, maybe most, but I will continue just a bit more. This ‘Destroyer’, further identified as one who would cause that the light of the sun would not be seen for the space of three months by reason of the smoke of his destructions (think Kuwait oilfields on fire) is replaced, without a hint of a reason for his demise, by four other ‘angels’ or ‘messengers’ (Bible students know the meanings of the two words are often interchanged). Just as Saddam was a messenger or a signpost of the end-times, these four also rise out of the Euphrates region, of which seventy-five percent, as I said already, is in Iraq. From those identities, or entities - it can only be speculated as to who or what they are - there emerges an army of two hundred million which will cause that a third of mankind will be killed in the war that ensues. Only two national entities could field armies that large: China, or an Arab/Muslim confederation. Either one of those two can boast a population of around 1.2 billion. But what about Iraqi dinar… what does all that have to do with the dinar speculation in modern Iraq? The sixth trumpet war (that is not Armageddon, by the way) at least begins in the region where there are now still military bases of a hundred thousand or so American soldiers... who are there for no other reason than to protect the vast wealth of Iraq from those who would plunder it. That vast wealth has to be 'brought to the surface' in fullness to attract such a conflagration described as 'the sixth trumpet war' of Revelation Chapter nine, and there lies the Dinar Investment Opportunity. Whether you like my Biblical analysis or not… it’s how I see the Dinar Investment through the eyes of Biblical prophecy. And, in my belief, it’s a significant part of how the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be financed unto the ends of the earth, as Jesus himself prophesied it must be, before He returns. Anyone noticed how many dinaritarians seem to be Christians; Christians who are more than just nominally so-called? There’s my prophetic view to the Iraqi Dinar and the greater investment potential that is Iraq - in a nutshell (if this lengthy treatise may be called that). There is a lot more that could be referenced from the pages of Holy Writ, but here is where I’m closing my nutshell. I hope I will see Biblical viewpoints of some others AS THEY RELATE TO IRAQI DINAR. But let’s stay within the parameters, as Adam has delineated them for this forum. I may have gone further than he would have liked into my Biblical Prophetical Perspective of the Iraqi Dinar Investment. wadaba Revelation 9:15-16 (KJV) 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
