Prior to Katrina diesel was lower than gasoline, after Katrina with the damage to the refineries in the south and not being rebuilt the cost of desiel went up and has stayed that way since. The cost of rebuilding and the amount of federal requirements and restrictions has reduced the oil companies to concider rebuilding. I know here in Ak the refineries that have had problems will not do anything more then bare minimiums to get by with do to the regulations controling them. To all I have to agree with everyone argument of the pro and con of weapon ownership, it is the right here in the states to own and carry a firearm conceiled if properly permited. I am a beleiver in carrying a weapon in a lot of areas and at special times, do I need one all the time no. But I do agree with that an armed socitity is a polite one and is very evident when the crime rates drop. To each their own opinions and may the good always win.
