I agree, it will happen when it happens whether we are asleep or doing whatever! I don't let this investment stress me out. I know that it could possibly take a long time for it to come to tuition but it will eventually happen especially if iraq wants to be able to trade on the open market and be recognized as a real country with a real currency, but until then I'm gonna set back and relax and not worry about when it will happen, I am just glad I was able to get in on this investment. Yeah good read notice how it said that the inflation rate was 25 -50% and the rate was only worth half that of the $3.20 rate? As of right now Iraq's inflation rate is only like 3% so IMO their currency should eventually be worth a great deal but that is strictly IMO

Where did you guys get your Dinars, (the people that are saying the foil stripes are not in the same spot)? I'm gonna have to get mine out and check them out now to make sure mine look kosher I got mine from Dinar Trade

Well at one point I think the rate was as high as 4000 Dinars to 1 dollar the rate that we are seeing now and has been pretty much set at 1170 since 2003 or so was a rate set by the IMF to help control inflation and stability of iraqs economy I think there are plenty of articles that have been posted with the information you are looking for.

If I remember correctly the rate was in the $3 range before Saddam, at one point I believe it was over $4.

I'm new on the boards but I have been reading them for a while, and I was just wondering if there are people here that are invested in the Dinar that actually invested in Kuwait when thier currency revalued after the Gulf War? Thanks.
