  1. they are all over at om - all of our friends are there you guys, all the mods, scooter should be there soon
  2. What was done to Scooter was wrong, it's really extremely very simple. He had no reason to defend himself. He felt betrayed by the owner of this site. Adam, you called him out in public, it appeared as though you agreed with little Chucky, and not only that, you gave Chucky's subsequent comment a little happy face, which added insult to injury. If this had been you, Adam, we all would have come to bat for you as well, we would have told Chucky to take a flying leap, and we NEVER would have asked you to explain yourself, EVER. The correct response to all of this would have been to get rid of Chucky and stand by Scooter's sign, show respect for Scooter, just as Scooter, as well as all of us, would have done for you. Chucky came on this site to cause trouble for Scooter, PERIOD! This isn't A or B, it's right and wrong. Scooter would have done differently than you did, Adam, he would have stuck by your side. Betrayal, it's that simple.
  3. You know, Hunt, I had the exact same feeling about the whole thing! Something is rotten in Denmark! This thread will soon be closed too, I'm quite sure, as were all the others. There is no "guilt by association", that is not what this is about. This was about getting rid of Scooter, because anyone who knew Scooter knew he was an honorable man, and that he would not feel as if he needed to defend himself. Again, when you are innocent you have no reason to defend your actions. The way this whole went down was rotten, just plain rotten. Scooter had TONS of fans here at DV, someone didn't like that, that much is quite obvious.
  4. Absolutely!! Scooter should have had our support 100 percent.
  5. With all due respect, Mr. Montana, I would like to say that I believe what bothered Scooter was the fact that he felt betrayed by you, the way in which you berated him for all to see. I don't believe he had much to say in his own defense, he was not guilty of anything, and if you are not guilty you should not have to defend yourself. Scooter explained what happened, for you to call him out that way was not necessary, in my humble opinion, of course. We lost a great source here on DV, and I for one will miss Scooter, his information, his intelligence, the hard work he put in, etc. And where is "Chuckster" now? It was as if he came on to do exactly what he did, and in my opinion, a good man felt he had to leave and now the pain in the arse is nowhere to be found. It's a sad, sorry situation.
  6. This has absolutely nothing to do with "little Chucky" calling out Scooter. Honestly, do you guys think Scooter cares what some little twerp says to him? I think when Adam got involved in it and demanded something of Scooter, which in my opinion, he had no business demanding, is when Scooter said "enough". All the work Scooter has done for us here at this site, all the long hours, the dedication, the honesty, the patience, the kindness, etc., and here comes Adam and berates him in front of every one of us, basically taking sides with "punkster chuckster". Talk about a betrayal!!!! I believe Adam is the one who owes the "pubic apology", but then again, the damage is done and it wouldn't change Scooter's mind anyway. I think what got me more was the second comment Adam left on that whole thread, the one with the smiley face, that just seemed very inappropriate to me. Once again, I hope I'm entitled to my opinion here, which is nothing compared to all the jerks we have on here lately!!!
  7. Thank you, Barboza. That was so heart felt and wonderfully written. I agree with you all the way.
  8. You're absolutely correct, Mr. Rich - why was that allowed to happen??? And again, I truly believe it was when Mr. Montana got caught up in it and pretty much "called Scooter out" is when Scooter decided he'd had enough. I can't even imagine being Scooter, putting in all the work he did, always telling us the truth, all the hours and hours of research he did, only to have the owner "call him out". This is my opinion, and hopefully I'm entitled to it here on this site. I'm furious over this. Scooter was part of the "elite" who brought such wonderful stuff and truth to this site, and instead of getting rid of the "yahoos", Scooter is forced to leave. If I were him I would have done the exact same thing, it's a matter of honor and integrity at this point with him, I'm quite sure. One can put up with a lot, but when those two things are questioned in a person, well it's time to move on down the road and that's what Scoot did.
  9. I have to agree with you 100 percent on this one. I think the fact that Adam got involved in the discussion was the last straw for Scooter, he must have felt betrayed. I do not believe there was anything nefarious going on with Scooter, not at all. I'll never believe the worst of Scooter, and it's sad that so many jumped to assume the worst of a man who dedicated so much of his time and energy to us here. This is a huge shame, in my opinion. And Jim, I agree with you as well. You always have the most level-headed responses, thank you.
  10. Awww Scooter, this is a sad day indeed. While I completely understand and agree with your decision, and why you felt it necessary to do this, this is a huge and incredible loss for most of us here on this site. I'm so very sorry they forced your hand on this one. You really had no other option but the one you chose. As AM said, you are a big boy, and with that being said, you did what a "big boy" had to do. I have a feeling nothing much bothered you except for the few posts AM made concerning you, which in my opinion were completely and totally uncalled for. He should have known the truth if he knew you at all and never asked for what he asked of you, or basically "accused" you of. You must have felt utterly betrayed, and again, while we will miss you greatly, I for one would have done exactly what you have done. Thank you for all your hard work, for your intelligence, the time and energy and commitment you put into this so that we would know truths rather than BS, and again, I am so very sorry this had to happen. I wish you nothing but joy and happiness with your family - Happy Father's Day, Scooter. Thank you again for all you did for us. I do hope we hear from you again, Scooter. As for Mr. Montana, I appreciate greatly all you have brought to us as well. I know this is a huge commitment to you as well, and the fact that you are sincere and don't bring us BS is worth more than you know. However, my opinion is that you were wrong in what you said to Scooter. Don't want to go into it more than that, really, but I do think he must have felt betrayed. Barbara

  12. Aw come on, you know....the "vouchers"..!!!!! They are talking about that little piece of paper they had to carry around with them while they were on an excursion away from the nuthouse...
  13. Happy Birthday, PVS. You do an incredible job here, and I appreciate so much all that you do. You are not just someone behind a screen, your warmth and caring and compassion come forth, and I for one appreciate you greatly. I hope you day is wonderful, and I hope you are told how loved you are many, many times. Happy Birthday. Barbara
  14. I'm really sorry to have to do this, however, I have GOT to call BS on this one. This is the same story that came out months ago, and I remember the "little buddy" part. Don't you guys remember this one???? Nope, not a true one, sorry.
