  1. Webup...Why are you using Arizona Ted's e-Bay pic?
  2. What ever happened to the "basket currency" theory or should I say proposed talks?
  3. PUMP much? - enough with the bank story CRAP!
  4. Keep – I appreciate the article and by no means am I a behavioral financial economics major – I’m still trying to digest the author’s mindset for my fourth attempt…but I’m challenged with his table insert on countries that have redenominated their currency; there is no explanation of where these countries fell within the food chain, for example – with the exception of (3) countries (Russia, Mexico and Angola) what do the remainder of these countries (listed on his table) that have redenominated their currencies offer (at the time) to back their currency? I.e. Oil, Gold, Silver, etc. I understand why countries use this as a last resort –but I’m lost… I took the liberty of consolidating a number of web resources to compile – food for thought (a very small morsel) and to remind our group just how important of a role Iraq plays and why we as Americans (include China) need Iraq to prosper. (Note: I apologize for some of the dated data – but just figure in inflation (lol) and you still get a pretty good picture – as for links, “go surf”). Nations ranked with LARGEST Oil Reserves 1. Saudi Arabia – believed to have 266 billion of barrels beneath its deserts 2. Venezuela – 180 billion (Note: They claim to have 297 billion in reserves) 3. Canada - 178 billion 4. Iran – 150 billion 5. Iraq – 143 billion 6. Kuwait – 101.5 billion (Petroleum and petroleum products now account for nearly 95 per cent of Kuwait's export revenues, and 80 per cent of government income.) 7. UAE (United Arab Emirates) – 98 billion 8. Russia – 74 billion (RD 1998) 9. Libya – 45 billion 10. Kazakhstan – 40 billion 11. Nigeria – 37 billion 12. Mexico – 33 billion (RD 1993) 13. Angola – 25 billion (RD 1995) 14. United States – 21.37 billion 15. China – 18.2 billion 16. India – 5.625 billion Nations that consume the MOST Oil 1. United States – 19.5 million barrels per day (Recorded statistics from 2008) 2. China – 7.8 million (China's need for energy is projected to increase by 150 per cent by 2020.) 3. Japan – 4.8 million (2008) 4. India – 3 million (2008) 5. Russia – 2.9 million (2008) 6. Germany – 2.6 million (2008) 7. Brazil – 2.5 million (2008) 8. Saudi Arabia – 2.4 million 9. Canada – 2.3 million 10. South Korea – 2.2 million Enjoy - Peace!....rka
  5. Lambert...Like I said, "Wishful thinking"
  6. Avondale - across the street
  7. Travelex, a non bank provider of foreign-currency exchange, has opened two new Arizona stores, offering additional locations for Phoenix-area residents to obtain foreign currency for travel, along with foreign-currency drafts and wires and other services. The company's office in Old Town Scottsdale is at 4253 N. Scottsdale Road, and the Phoenix store is at 101 N. 1st Ave. Travelex also has locations at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. WWW.ustravelex.com Although this is a factual article taken directly from today's Arizona Replublic newspaper (05/07/11) - I was curious if any of the other DR members have come across any similar articles in their local newspapers of currency exchange businesses expanding. I found it a little strange...I didn't realize that our state had so many world travelers - Hmmmm, maybe just wishful thinking. I searched azcentral.com for a link to today's article , but was unsuccessful - I guess those who wish to question the info will just have to call Travelex direct.
  8. I hear you Brother...just be careful and have all the necessary paperwork from the bank. Don't want to get pulled over and have to explain where you got all that money.
  9. "DITTO"...what Texman said - shame on you "T-82"
  10. tbush - I appreciate your contribution in the rumor section and we know it's not yours, but READ the rumor first before re-posting. The mere inkling that an individual from one of the nations largest banking institutions shares info deemed as a potential SEC insider trading violation is absolute BS. Keep posting...
  11. Thank you...for doing the leg work and exposing the real Terry K
  12. SOI - How did you get a picture of Traconesu02?....jk Trac Peace out...lighten up old man.
  13. Well Trac, Having purchased the "New" IQD its early infancy in the later part of 04' - early 05' - when just under $680 US bought a cool million. To be fair...Q #1 - I have purchased and own IQD; Q #2 these are my true feelings and Q #3 - I'm no more than a fool than you are, but there is one difference between you and I - I don't believe in the yahoos that claim they have an inside source, in the "know" or have banking personnel leaking out insider trading info. I remember back in the day reading "pumpers" like (SGS) Shot-Gun Susie from Alaska who claimed at one time she had direct contacts in the Iraqi parliment; (KTF) Frank - when he started out as a charismatic member who turned into an overnight Dinar Guru/Expert and Adam who is quite the savvy entrepenur capitalizing in all of the mis-information and putting it into print and the truly "sad" part - folks bought his book. So - YES...I am a fool like you. Peace
  14. Thanks Ann! for keeping the BS and non-sense alive alive...it's okay Parkerbjp no consultant in their right mind would advise or even recommend to their clients to invest in the IQD, unless they too-were 'Pumpers". Reality check - any rumor stating or relaying info from a financial adviser, bank manager, bank teller, Ali, Adam.possum and even K98 is an absolute LIE. Having family members and personal friends in the investment/banking arenas - ALL think our pipe dream is just that...a wishfull 'pipe"dream. Yes...I said "our" - I too have purchased the funny money, because I do like to gamble.
