  1. What about giving to a church? Give pre-RV? and does it make a difference if the church is incorporated or not?
  2. Oops, here's the link: http://www.rttnews.com/Content/Policy.aspx?Id=1526926 I really posted this because of the wording that I underlined, not necessarily because of the visit - yes, that was 'old news', but this was the first time I saw Biden quoted as saying this outright....I don't think the US is going to let Iraq not be 'prosperous' ,' it is the most significant strategic thing to happen to the US '( whatever that really alludes to?) Does the US have the ability to 'pull strings' in this area? That comment among others I've been reading makes it sound like our government does somehow .... Sorry, I'm a newbie...
  3. (RTTNews) - U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden paid a surprise visit to Iraq after his tour of South-West Asia. He held talks with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in capital Baghdad on Thursday. Biden's seventh trip to Iraq since becoming Vice-President was also the first high-level visit by a U.S. official since the country formed a new Cabinet after months-long political deadlock. Biden told Iraqi leaders that a "democratic and prosperous Iraq was the single most significant strategic thing that can happen to the United States in this region." Biden's stopover in Iraq, which was reportedly not there on the original schedule, gave him an opportunity to assess the latest security situation in three Asian countries where American forces are fighting terrorism jointly with those governments. Biden conveyed his country's concern that Islamabad is not doing enough to combat Taliban and al-Qaeda during his meetings with Pakistani leaders on Wednesday on the second leg of his tour focusing on the assessment of the security situations in the terrorist hotbeds of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Terming America as "one of our best friends," Talabani told Biden that "we count on you," and expressed confidence that "our relations will remain" even after U.S. forces left the country. Maliki vowed that Iraq would "meet the challenges it faces, whether it be security, political or otherwise." Biden was set to meet with other political leaders also to discuss the status of U.S. troops stationed in the country.
