  5. Scooby Doo, I too have learned much from your posts. Thank you. That brings me to a question.... when the RV occurs, what will happen to this forum? (maybe this is a question for Adam) Will everyone just drop out, close the site?? On one hand I am ready for the RV to happen now, on the other..... I have grown accustomed to the interactions (minus the bashing) here and the learning about Iraq and its people. hmm. Anyway, thanks again Scooby Doo.
  6. Exactly my thought. I someone really going to walk out of a bank with that much cash??? Not me..I would open an account then wire transfer to wherever I needed it.
  7. Even if there is no rv (which I believe there will be) this is still a very good long term investment. I believe that the dinar will gain in value just by the growth of the Iraq economy.
  8. Hi new guy! There is a ton of info here, I have learned so much....much more than I expected and a lot more to go. Read up, have fun and GO RV!!!!
  9. I will indulge in a good juicy rumor.....I may be on some island somewhere around the equator by next week. GO RV!!!!
  10. "The Department of the Treasury is an executive department and the treasury of the United States federal government. It was established by an Act of Congress in 1789 to manage government revenue. The Department is administered by the Secretary of the Treasury, who is a member of the Cabinet. The first Secretary of the Treasury was Alexander Hamilton, who was sworn into office on September 11, 1789. Hamilton was asked by President George Washington to serve after first having asked Robert Morris (who declined, recommending Hamilton instead). Hamilton almost single-handedly worked out the nation's early financial system, and for several years was a major presence in Washington's administration as well. His portrait is on the obverse of the U.S. ten-dollar bill and the Treasury Department building is shown on the reverse. Besides the Secretary, one of the best-known Treasury officials is the Treasurer of the United States, who receives and keeps the money of the U.S. Facsimile signatures of the Secretary and the Treasurer appear on all modern paper U.S. currency. The Treasury prints and mints all paper currency and coins in circulation through the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the United States Mint. The Department also collects all federal taxes through the Internal Revenue Service, and manages U.S. government debt instruments." (This is from Wikipedia)
  11. Funky, I hope your friend is right!! Eventually, one of these rumors are going to become truth!!!
  12. I sure hope so!!! I don't care what side of the aisle the polition sits on...lets get the debt paid.
  13. I agree you,GFIRTH, no one doubts that the rest of us have had no problems getting our dinars....I have had no problems getting mine either by delivery or by picking up at the Fed Ex hub. There are those that may not be so honest or maybe just uninformed.
  14. I have heard of this. It happened to one of my co-workers...he went to pick up his dinars from the FedEx hub and they talked him out of it. They scared him into denying the package because they said it was a rip-off. (pisses me off, its non of their d@mn business!) He was only buying 100,000 dinar. It amazes me how many small minded people there are out there....is it jelousy, fear, pettiness??? They are losers.
  15. I agree with Riley!!! Thanks to the contributors in Iraq...thanks for your service!! And the info you pass along to us. Thanks again!
  16. I won't quit.....(I don't want to tip off anyone that knows me ......like a certain family member......that would want to borrow money) But I might have a nicer car
