i know what you mean. So many tid-bits of supposed information often get blown out, recycled and re-embellished....when we so want it to be true....can be a bit frustrating. I think that is why I thought that bashing could occur if I posted this......some of us are beyond frustrated with this. Patience, I am learning, is truly a strength and requires practice.

First of all...it is a rumor. Bash away if you want.... My co-worker got a call from an old buddy, they have both worked in Iraq as contractors. The friend called to say that he was in Iraq and was trading in at $3.80. Now, either the friend is crazy or lying or somehow mistaken. My friend is making up a "story" or misheard what he said. Or, it really happened. CBI shows no change so I am tending to not believe this story....as much as I want to. Can anyone in Iraq now give us some input on this??? C.H.

April 1st is a Friday, (Holy Day). CBI will be closed, that is the first place to check if the RV has happened. So, I will most likely not believe it if I see it in the Rumor Forum on April 1st.

I don't think you have to do anything outragous. Just think of it....you have come into some good fortune which will allow you to retire early. They throw you a party. You play it cool, be gracious, thank all your co-workers as they wish you well. He will be as jeallous as he could possibly be. He will hate it! And you will be the good guy. You don't have to lower yourself to his level. He will be seething, trying desperately not to let it show. And you will not have to do anything because he does it to himself, (but you will get to watch him suffer). That's the way I would do it.

I 100% agree. Just pay it, be done with it and be happy. Other than a bolster to my retirement, the only thing I plan to do with this money is buy a new set of golf clubs.

I have seen the US dollar/Iraqi dinar on the Jordan Islamic bank with the rate of 3.22. This was, I believe, in error....a leftover rate from the pre-war era. They just never changed it. But, they must have finally taken it off. This may be the same for the Bank of Jordan....I can't get the link to load (could be my system).
