Sadrists close 'ballot' for Iraq PM Both al-Maliki and Allawi were on the Sadrist ballot alongside several others [AFP] Followers of Muqtada al-Sadr, an influential Shia Muslim leader in Iraq, have concluded an unofficial ballot to establish who should become the country's next prime minister. Though bereft of any legal authority, the two-day referendum was held after al-Sadr emerged as a kingmaker following Iraq's recently held national elections. "The referendum has concluded and the participation rate was very high," Saleh al-Obeidi, the Najaf-based spokesman for the movement, said on Saturday. "The counting process has already started in the provinces, and in the next few days we will release the results." Final results in Iraq's March 7 elections gave the Iraqiya coalition led by Iyad Allawi, a former prime minister, just two seats more than State of Law bloc led by Nouri al-Maliki, the incumbent prime minister. Im Looking into this.....

We are a family here..a BIG family but family. We have computer gurus, nerds, jocks, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, Rich, poor, Partners in crime, and everything in between. But then we have Guys like Hypr2001. Guys like him are few and far between in todays world. And even though I've never met him, I know him. I know what he stands for. He is a mans man. Complete with Honor, courage & character. But, right now in his personal life, he is going thru alot. His Mother who lives in Georgia is not doing well at all. She might not live much longer. He flew home from Iraq to be at her side and comfort her. Lets all show HIM what kind of character we have at DV and send him our support and comfort when he needs it the most. hypr2001, I just want you to know that all of us at DV are thinking of you and your family. I love this story so much. It seems so real to me because I'd do something just like that lady too if I was in her shoes. Think about all the memories that keep flooding back to her as she drove around. kinda like a bunch of polaroids.....
