I agree...When Japan's delegates were in Iraq, the Japanese exchange was missing, and I thought we were going to see a RV/RI soon. Then a few days later it went back to the same,,,
We have to wait... So many of us are used to instant gratification that investments like this can trigger "ants in the pants." With so many rumors out there, and so many changes(that are ant sized) the magnifying glass that we all have been using is making everything VERY SIGNIFICANT. I am watching too(who isn't) to see if anything AWESOME comes out, but I am really waiting for the 30th when they reconvene.
Everything that has been happening, and bringing momentum towards a RV, are good signs. The storm was already coming, so it is now the trees that are shaking! Let's hope for a great week.
G.U.R.U. is Great Understanding Relatively Useless.
Don't listen to their hype. Read the news and check back with www.cbi.iq every once in a while. Rumors and chats are great to see the general feelings of people, but it can't be basis for anything real to happen. The RV "should" have happened with the information gathered? Maybe. Is the information gathered only the tip of the iceberg? Most probably.
Some people thrive on a collective(community) of happiness. Others thrive on hurting other people's emotions and bank accounts, through tactics such as the rollercoaster "RV tomorrow with $X.XX rate" rumors. We all want a RV and profit to happen, and that is why we jumped in on this possibility. Take a step back for your family's well-being, and let the Limo-ride(none of us are the driver) start when it actually does.
On the subject of receipts, you would want a receipt to validate the time of purchase and purchase price. If the "investment" is longer than a year, you are subject to capital gains tax at a significantly lower percentage(15-20%) than if you had made a short term capital gain(flip). The receipt is necessary if you wanted to deduct purchase price from selling price to show the total capital gain.
If we consider this an investment and not a lottery(as some of the people are "playing" and praying on), then we as a Dinar holding community would be in balance with any positive gains.
Thank you for the great post. I have only been in this for a little bit, and likewise signed up for the forum a week ago. Your post is a great history lesson of what has been going on
I have been watching and analyzing more than anything, so this is my first post. Yesterday, there was a rate for Japanese Yen at CBI. Today 1/11/2011 there is no exchange rate for it. Japan's trade minister is in Iraq right now.
