I used to get on the rv sites alot til i figured out that it will never happen like all the gurus are saying. It will continue to rise in small amounts. like it has been doing since the new dinar was issued. my husband bought dinar in when it first came out and it has increased in value by about $500.00 so if u are expecting to make a quick fortune, you need to invest in something else. I don't mean to be a debbie downer but i think everyone should know the truth. I have heard rv next thursday or monday since 2010. I am sure its been said longer than that. so don't get excited when the "chatter" starts.

I have 1,600,000 uncirculated dinar. I would like to sell them. If anyone is interested please let me know. thank you

I just tried to exchange dinar for us currency thru sterling. They won't exchange without proof of purchase. my husband bought the dinar in 2004 or 5. can't remember. He was working in Iraq at the time. He has since passed away. He never had a receipt with the dinar. Is there any reputable trustworthy place I can exchange without a proof of purchase? I never heard of having to have proof of purchase to exchange currency. can anyone help me? I would greatly appreciate it. thank you

has anybody seen this? I did the conversion today and the first time i did it it said $1.00 = .0655 for IQD. After I got my heart going again I put it in again and it says 1169 the .0655 was gone. I thought i may have hit the wrong country but i checked that and now i can't find any country with the .0655 rate. so does anybody know what is going on?

IF THEY EVER STOP BOMBING OVER THERE AND ROBBING THE MONEY CHANGERS AND BANKS IT WILL RV. MY HUSBAND JUST CAME BACK IN MARCH AND HE SAID THERE ARE 2 THINGS U DON'T WANT TO BE IN IRAQ. [The Central Bank of Iraq made some changes to how it operates in reference to the banks and money changers inside Iraq. In late April, the CBI decided to impose a tax on all currency exchanges (as previously mentioned in my 5 May email newsletter). The CBI auctions experienced a downturn after imposing the tax on the banking institutions and all the currency exchange markets. The initial intentions were good; however this slowed the everyday commerce in the banking industry causing far less transactions of foreign currency exchange. CBI was attempting to force Iraqi's to not conduct foreign exchange transactions hoping to increase the Iraqi dinar value. When the CBI observed its several hundred million a day auctions plummet they made the executive decision to raise the tax limit to 50k for all foreign currency transactions. After this decision the Iraqi people ramped up the CBI auctions once again. Seeing that the CBI has appeared to reverse their initial plans, my associates are saying that there will not be an RV in the month of May 2011. Regardless of the fact that the CBI has completed the Revaluation Re-denomination report. The CBI is also still waiting for PM Nuri Maliki's request to have the report delivered to him. Unfortunately, my sources are confident an RV will not be possible this month. The dinar currency projection from the recently published CBI annual report, soon to be published internally for the ministries will also coincide with no RV (May 2011). Today, I got some additional, interesting information. The new Iraqi currency has been placed on hold. With the excuse being that with all the recent activities & transitions of the CBI bank (as well as the Iraqi government) it has just not been printed. I know this may be conflicting with what some of you have been told on some forums/blogs but this is factual & up to date information. There are no bills at this time. i am with you on this. my theory is that all these guys/gurus are nothing but pumpers. it seems funny that they all have something to do with selling dinar. they start rumors of imminent rv then they start talking about buying more dinar. another site i get is from an another site in iraq. he doesn't tell people to buy and he doesn't have a website promoting other crap like some other sites that we all know. he stated yesterday that warka bank is going out of business yet all these dinar sites tell people to use warka or trust in them to keep your dinar. such a load. no one needs their advise and right now the only ones making money from dinar are the sellers and the sites that promote the sellers. dd stated that he knows okie and ali but that of course he is not a pumper. thats such b.s. why does he just happen to know all these people? don't let any of these people scam u. they are the scam, not the dinar. i wish u good luck. i for one do believe it will go up and we won't need any of them telling us what to do when it does rv. hold on to your dinar and when it rv's go to a LOCAL investment professional that u can trust.

2 May 2011 It has been a very productive week for the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI). The information from my close sources is that the Re-denomination Revaluation Report has been completed by the committee set up by the CBI. According to my sources it is finalized, after taking 4 years. The report is ready and the CBI committee is just waiting for Prime Minister Maliki to give the green light for the CBI to deliver the report directly to him. The Iraqi government has stated that they have some concerns upon release of the report and does not want the public to start to panic, manipulate prices or do anything with their current Iraqi dinar. The decision has been made to not have an education campaign with the public about the new currency as recently stated. When the Iraqi government gives the CBI the authorization to place the order to print the new currency it will take some time to ship the dinar currency to Iraq and deliver it to the CBI. I would like to make everyone aware that in absolutely no terms has Dr. Shabibi been on any Baghdad news channel speaking about an RV or carelessly given any rate in regards to anything. If he had, I would know and be the first to be honest and upfront about it. In reference to al-Warka Bank, the only update I have in regards to them is that the bank is telling depositors that they (al-Warka) are still waiting on a loan from the State Bank Rafidain for the huge influx of cash to assist the bank with liquidity. As it stands right now, they have no cash and have been suspended from any trading on the ISX. They have shut down operations and bank employees have told me that they have not been paid in over two months. There has been mention that there will be an upcoming merger with a British bank. Word of advice, don't place a lot of faith in the merger. Dr. Shabibi is unwilling to sign off on any new bank licenses at this time.

You know, its too bad that there are people who still have to whine and can't even give up their partisan political bs long enough to be glad that our military did a great thing. Its disrespectful to the soldiers who risked their lives to do this and its disrespectful to their families. i thought we had this thing called democracy where we have elections every 4 years so if your guy doesn't win you get to vote again and maybe you win then. but after the election is over we are supposed to respect the presidency and stick together as a nation. you say well we didn't win this time so maybe next time. you don't keep on and on and on about it. everyone seems to have forgotten the saying, united we stand, divided we fall. so keep on tearing this country apart then you won't have time to care who's president because we won't have a country worth anything anyway.
