  1. Thanks bondlady I love your chats, But my question is there is no doubt in my mind that an RV will happen.. But would it happen after a LOP.. ? Thats my worry..
  2. I want to get out of Iraq... So please RV..
  3. Great News, especially that I am currently in Ar-Ramadi.. Please RV come soon..
  4. Ok.. so I have a question.. First of all I'm a VIP member and even with all this talk I believe there's a chance for a LOP because of everything that has been drilled in my head. As I stand I'm all for the RV and after reading this chat I feel that where Mr Montana is heading. So my question to you all is are we really expecting an RV (which makes sence to me at a rate of .10 -.40) I'm currently Stuck here in one of the worst cities in Iraq Ramadi and I would love to go home to my 3yr old boy as soon as possible.. Thanks for any help on your own thoughts.. GO RV
  5. WOW.. Not sure if it's smoke or not, I'll just wait to listen to Adam on wed to see what he says.. but one thing i did know from being in Iraq as I write to you.. from my end it's not going to happen this month or the next.. it's a slow process

    Bad News

The reason I believe this to be true and not smoke is because of what I've been told from our friend here in Ramadi... He comfirmed that removing the 3 zero's is what they are indeed trying to pass. But he also told me who knows what happens when it gets voted on... But from what they been telling him and teaching HIS people is that their 25k will be worth 25dinar and so on... So I have told my self that I have just lost money unless after the RD comes a high RV..
  8. So if I understood your highlighted sections correctly.. RD won't apply to what investors have? I'm so lost now.. I'm here in Ramadi and we have an Iraqi civilian thats works with the GOI and he's telling us that it will RD with the removal of the zero's to make the 1000 = 1 and the 5000 = 5 etc...
  9. WOW.. you read my mind on all your replys... I hold dinars and I hope for a great RV.. But since I'm currently in the Prov of Anbar and my unit deals with some of the Iraq Military as well with some of the iraq's that work side by side with the GOI.. what they have told us that the works has been in place for a removal of 3 zero's and then to RV at 1/1.. but they said anything can happen.. but thats what they have been telling us since last month.. But i DO HOPE THEY ARE LYING 2 US... I would lose money with a LOP... Best wishes to all and GO RV (I HOPE)
  10. Great POST!!!!! I'm currently in the Prov of Anbar and I know from what we are hearing from our base is that nothing is going to happen on June 30th... But like everyone else I hope I am soooo WRONG!!! But Iraq still has alot of work to finish around here and even though our base is getting ready to shut down and be handed over to Iraq, what we are hearing is LOP when the GOI is ready.. But it won't be June 30th... Like I said.. I hope I'm so wrong.. but we will see.. Also, GO RV (please)
  11. Yeah right!!! Thats why Al Asad AB is getting ready to stay open beyond 2011..
  12. Well It could be true, but on the bad side, I'm currently in Iraq, Prov of Anbar.. We have a source who speaks to us here on a weekly basis just about reg GOI stuff. I asked him what did he think of the rumors about the Dinars and he flat out told me that the GOI is going to romove the 3 zeros. (1,000,000 would =1,000 dinars) then they would hope to get a rate of 1 dinar to 1 US dollar.... I told him I hope he was wrong because I have a lil over 1,900,000 dinars and I paid just around 2,000 dollars for it.. So I would lose money if they LOP. Just wanted to let you all know what I've heard.. and why I hope I am SOOOO WRONG!!!
  13. I guess it’s my turn to give my opinion on this matter. First of all, I would like to say I do believe that Iraq WILL RV, but the question remains as to when will it rv? Well unlike most investors in the United States who base their opinions on article’s and pumpers. I on the other hand base my opinion and remember I said OPINION with my current experience with the Iraqi people. I am currently in the Province of Anbar in Ramadi. I live in a Military Base with Iraqi civilians as well as I work side by side with the Iraqi Army just a T-wall away. Iraq is moving in the right direction but in a very very slow pace. When I invested into the Iraqi Dinar I new it would be a well worth investment ($2000), but I was also aware that it wasn’t going to happen over night. So to all that want to discourage others from the Iraqi Dinar please find something else worth living for. As I said ealier that I work closely with the Iraqi Army and I have even spoken to some of their Generals, Iraq will RV but not next week or the next. It’s still going to take time and they are trying their hearts out to make it work, but old habits are hard to break. As for their opinion on the actual Dinar, they believe it will happen late this year early next year but they have no clue to what will be the strength of the dinar nor do they think it will be more than the American dollar. So with that being said, sit tight and enjoy the ride it will be well worth it and all we can do is hope for a quicker rv Luv-J
  14. I new there was going to be another DELAY!!! I have told my self while being here in Ar-Ramadi that the GOI will still be in this mess way after my time here in Iraq... So I am not surprised.. God Bless you all.. Go RV/RI sometime this Century..
  15. TO: Middle East Employees SUBJECT: Travel Advisory – Arab League Summit effect Travel and update on entry visas Effect of Arab League Summit on travel We have received word from the government of Iraq that the Summit for the League of Arab States will be postponed to later this spring but no later than May 15. Please take a minute to review your travel plans and identify some alternatives for yourself just in case the government of Iraq selects dates that interfere with your travel. Your Human Resources Travel team is standing by to assist you. Updates on changes or the confirmed date for the summit will be published as soon as we have official word from the Department of State. Entry visa approvals into Iraq For the past couple of weeks, we have received word that the issue is being worked with the Iraq Department of Immigration. This week the U.S. State Department has notified contractors that the Iraq prime minister expects entry visas to start through the approval process this week. The government of Iraq and the Iraq prime minister are working to establish the new government in Iraq. We applaud the work they are doing and look forward to seeing the success of the new government. In the meantime, we should expect more changes and some delays as new leaders come in and new systems are put in place. It is our privilege to assist in any way we can during these events. Remember: Exit visas have been steadily approved. Personnel who possess a current Iraq Ministry of Interior approval letter or have a multi-entry visa sticker in their passport have been able to travel without interruption. Only our employees who have expired MOI approval letters, who do not have multi-entry visas or who are new hires have seen delays in their travel into Iraq. We are working all avenues to ensure their return and arrival to their work site. Stay tuned for more updates.
