  1. I'm not giving up after 7 years. I've just gone back to the pre December 2010 strategy: Put the dinar in the ammo safe behind all of the mags and check here once a week. Go RV
  2. I agree that 4 years is not enough to turn the ship around, but by 2012 I believe the ship will have sunk. The problem is Washington is still digging the hole.... in fact I think they have handed out more shovels. Of course said shovels are gold plated with custom fitted grips. I'm not pinning this on the current admin. It appears once you are part of the "Good ole boys club", all promises are off. Tonight "we" will announce that we are sending billions to the ME. That will help. Hey, it worked with Pakistan. At least they weren't harboring the worlds most wanted man. My blood pressure is rising, I better stop. Just my opinion though. Go RV
  3. It was his French election that got him into this mess. Sorry PVS. Couldn't resist.
  4. I will take the end of May. I initially thought the delay of the shuttle launch was because NASA couldn't afford rocket fuel with the rising fuel costs. Thus they were waiting for the RV to top up the tank. Now that that theory has gone up in smoke, I will bank on this. Yep. This will work.
  5. They are now in the Witless Rejokation Program.
  6. I think we should all show Nancy some respect. She is an outstanding part of of the democratic party........ .... couldn't do it. I knew I couldn't even type that and keep a straight face! Not even close.
  7. Hello fellow DV. As of late there have been many seemingly encouraging events and bits of news that I truly hope indicates the approaching end of this ride. That being said, there are a few reports that make me wonder who the real players could be. I have read several opinions stating that the GOI could care less what the US or the world wants. I believe those opinions are incorrect. Here is why: A country is a business. Albeit a very large one in most cases. The CEO (Pres, PM, Dictator, etc) has his staff in the form of VP, advisors, etc. Each department (The States) have their managers that represent them and secure any capitol that might be needed in excess of what they generate on their own. The vast majority of us are employees and generate that capitol in the form of taxes. Some are more, um, productive than others. You know who you are. Most countries are structured like this, although some are treated as a poorly run small business. That is to say that all of the funds go in the CEOs pocket and they do with it as they desire. Add gold linings to pockets, quell uprising, buy WMD, or generally increase suffering. So, we get to Iraq. The GOI most definitely is impacted by the suggestions from other countries. If you want to be successful and be accepted into the business community (WTO) you must appease other members, especially influential members. I believe the US would fall into that category. The last thing a burgeoning business wants to do is tick off one of the big boys on the block by snubbing them. The real question is why would the US either wish for delay, or expedition, of the potential RV. Maybe to allow the US to better position itself in the world economic arena. Perhaps political gain of the CEO? An RV soon after a change in leadership would definitely be credited to the previous leader. Case in point Osama-Bin-Dying. What about the claim of 1/2 of the US national deficit would be eliminated by the end of the first term of the current CEO? Bush's claim "this war will pay for itself". Could be oil. Maybe not. Does the US actually hold dinar? Things to ponder. The US is on a precipice. We are looking over the edge. The world can ill afford the US to sink. Could the US actually be delaying the RV so that the reward is the greatest. Who's number two right now in the economic game? China. The US has long accused China of currency manipulation and by keeping the value of the yuan low, China has enjoyed an advantage in trade volume. It's one reason that their products are so inexpensive. Another is 10 year olds don't get payed well. <-- That is in jest. So, if China would RV to level the playing field, then the US wipes out deficit and gets cheap oil.... hmmm. Is this the plan? Who knows. It's just a scenario. Admittedly a little out there. So folks, I put forth the theory (of the non conspiracy type) that the US could indeed be influencing the RV. "Suggesting" it is delayed until it best benefits them, then "bang" pull the trigger by threatening to send Hillarious back in. Army boots and all. There has been much news that appears positive. So much, in fact, that I'm getting a woody. I found a nice 1950 Buick Super. There are many here that know much, much more than I about economics and will undoubtedly inform me of such. This is just my opinion. Enjoy your last days as non wealthy. GO RV!
  8. To "discuss the issue of voting". Good gosh. That's somewhat like talking about getting something done. Hey, it IS modeled after our (US) gov! A country is just a business. If I ran my business like this I would by run over by competition in two weeks. Sigh. Go RV!
  9. I wish you would call the Whitehouse and the Fed.
  10. This must be about all of the recent "pinging" talk. Once the ponging starts, RV time.
  11. Agreed. Please do you your homework folks and make them pay at the voting booths. I just hope we can hang on another 2 years. It seems things are deteriorating exponentially.
  12. This would be very, very bad for the US economy. QE2 is coming to an end. If China, and other holders of US debt decide it's time to dump bonds, the outrush of cash would be devastating. Something similar happened in 2007/2008 forcing the US Gov to stop trading before the economy collapsed. Believe it or not, but we are in a much more fragile state today. Near the debt ceiling, IMF giving the US a negative outlook which could lead to a lower credit rating, QE2 coming to and end, and Scooter not in the Whitehouse. I believe we are on the precipice folks. Just my opinion though. Go RV.
  13. Thank you Scooter, This has been going on for some time now, but has been compounded by the current administration. The people that are conspiring to bring about this are not stupid people. All must be very careful how they react. The initial rush of anger must be tempered with a fair amount of rationale, or it will play directly into the hands of those same people. I truly believe their goal is to CHANGE our very way of life and equal the playing field. It's odd how EVERY politician CHANGEs once they are part of "the club". Hmmm. Change. Odd how that word just keeps coming up.... even around the world. I personally believe the US is too far gone economically to recover given that no attempt will be made for at least two more years. Lets face it folks, our government argued over the 2011 budget and finally agreed on a spending cut. That's great, isn't it? A spending CUT! That's huge... except the cut they agreed upon was negated in ONE DAY. On April 18th, tax day, the government showed a single day deficit greater than that cut. Impressive, eh? One day. And they handle that money well. Case in point, the recent IMF ruling of the US to negative. Any solution from the administration? Of course not. It's part of the plan. Someone said on a previous reply to this post that "It's not their money, it's ours" I have operated my business for numerous years. After a dismal 2008, I found myself a little short on tax payments. I was told by the IRS agent "It's not your money, it belongs to the IRS." Verbatim. Oh, and I did indeed pay all taxes including crippling penalties and interest. The draining of blood is far from over. As the situation excalates, please pay very close attention to those that come forth to offer "HOPE". Wow... another one of those words. As I stated previously, the operators that are ochestrating this injustice to the American people are not without resource and definitely do not lack intelligence. Do your homework and read the material referred to by Dalite. That is solid information. Pay attention to who the players are and be prepared. I am an American. I am a father, a husband, a provider. I started preparing about a year ago with food, physical silver, and "security". Even if it is never needed, the food I purchased will be used and it was at least 15% less expensive that it is now. The security will always be used. Brass is valuable. Some that I know scoff and call me paranoid. Maybe I am. But if things do take a turn, I will not take the typical attitude, but rather bring them in and feed them. Please educate yourselves and don't just hope for the best. That's what they want you to do. When I first read of this I thought it was a conspiracy theory. Well folks, the more I uncover as I read, watch, and listen, I believe it to be more conpiracy fact. When (optimistic) this RV does transpire, I would urge you not to just dump it in the bank in the form of US dollars. Diversify, but not just in stocks. If the dollar tanks, what do you think will happen to the markets. While that may not be the end of your investment, good luck getting access to it. The above is just my opinion. Thank you Scooter, your are a scholar amongst us DV. Go RV.
  14. Does anyone know if something like this were to happen at 8:30PM in Iraq, would the CBI show it at that time or would it change on the site as of say... start of business the next day? I'm not saying it did go down, just curious.
  15. The Saudis are displeased with the lack of the US to back what has been an ally to the US in the ME... namely Mubarak. Up until recently, the Saudis were a staunch ally as well, but after witnissing the oust of Mubarak are questioning whether the US would come to their aid in the event of a similar uprising. Thus they are playing their cards as they see fit. By choosing those particular bedfellows over the US it is a huge political slap in the face for the current US administration. Iran is gaining much support in the region. Scary stuff. The clock is ticking. Come on RV!
  16. I would like clarification as to what, where, or who a PTR is.
  17. I'm on that like stink on a monkey. I purchased a fair amount of silver stock as well as physical silver some time ago. I'm liking where it's headed right now! Almost $40 oz at the moment. We shall see. A little thing called an RV of the IQD wouldn't hurt my feelings though.
  18. What me may all be seeing here is the perfect storm in terms of economic impact. The US economy is weak at best. We aren't to the debt ceiling yet, but you can see it from here (May 16th). Unemployment is still high. The budget is yet to be approved and a possible shutdown looms. Normally this last item would not be huge, but the Pentagon reported that it is very possible that the armed services men and women would not be paid without a budget. These folks put their butts on the line and many don't have a monetary cushion. Alone, the effects of $4 fuel costs could be devastating to the ecomony. Add in all of the other factors and it could be time to batten the hatches. So... are you ready for change? I believe it's on the way... just not quite what most had HOPEd for. Come on RV!
  19. Did I miss Scooter's conclusion to the Trifecta series? I did a search and couldn't seem to find it. I'm sure it takes an enormous amount of time to put it together, but I don't care. I'm American. I want it now and for free, dagnabbit! Great series that really helps put things in perspective. Any newbies should search for the Trifecta Series threads and read them thoroughly. IMO Go RV
  20. I also understand that the strips can be anywhere in the bill. I purchased some dinar from ebay and the strip is just to the left of Daffy Ducks head. So I feel good about them.
  21. I just can't believe that their government hasn't approved a budget or taken the steps to lower unemployment and secure the financial future of their people. At least that can't happen here in the US. Oh, wait a minute......
