  1. Hey Adam, what happened? Yesterday it was full speed ahead, today there is no news. I know that you have other thing to do every day besides the Dinars and maybe that is the situation now. I would rather believe that a lot was done today and you will let us know when you have the time. You're doing a great job Adam, so keep the pedal to the metal for all of your "news hungry" children out here. Countryroads
  2. Atta boy Adam, keep the "Goosebumps" coming. Go RV!!!!!
  3. Hi Adam. I have a question on a subject that hasn't been discussed for a while. Has there been any updates on banks or financial places that have said if they are going to exchange our Dinars once they RV? I know that a lot of what has been said in the past was rumors. Thanks Countryroads
  4. Must be the Iraqi version of "Throw Da Bums Out".
  5. Adam. I was just sitting here and thinking about the RV and was wondering if there are any hardships on the Iraqis because of the Dinar not RVing? By "the Iraqis", I am referring to the government and the powers of control and not the common Iraqi. It would seem at times that with the exception of the violence and torture by the Sadam government, there has not been much moving forward on their international front. Just curious. Countryroads
  6. Does Iraq have anything of importance ( RV ) coming up before Parliament any time in the near future?
  7. I believe that Adam hasn't stuck with us all these years to suddenly just disappear without saying something to us .Whatever he is doing must be very important to him or he would be here to give updates. He will be back when something breaks. If the moderators aren't worried then I won't be either. Just my thoughts. Countryroads
  8. Well my interest in the RV has been put on the back burner for now. I will continue to read Adams post every time he puts one up. Mind you this is not a complaint , as Adam only posts what he knows. It is the Iraqi government that is the pot holes in the road to an RV. Hopefully things will improve in the near future. But for now Adam , just keep doing what you have been doing. gives me something to do on Wednesday. Thanks Adam Countryroads.
  9. Thanks Adam. Just wanted to hear it from you, I felt pretty much the same way. Around here if you start talking about wanting the oil prices to rise, you may not live long enough to collect any of that RV.
  10. Hi Adam. Is Iraq financially stable enough to completely disregard the RV all together if they choose to? When was the last time the RV was discussed in Parliament? Is there any sign of it coming before Parliament any time in the near future? Do you have any information along these lines that you could share with us. Just would like to know what is going on behind the lines and in the minds of the Iraqis. Thanks Countryroads
  11. Adam. In regards to what you say about the price of oil, the price of a gallon of gas has gone up by about 29 cents this week around here. So maybe it is on it's way back up.
  12. Adam, I agree 100% with what you say about the HCL and the oil prices. But it brings up another question, after the HCL is finally passed and in the Gazette will Iraq have another excuse waiting to stall the RV? This could have the potential of becoming an Iraqi version of a Filibuster. They have shown in the past that they are quite capable of doing something like this. Just a thought. Countryroads
  13. Hi Adam. Would you please answer this for me? Just what the "H" is going on in Iraq with regards to the RV? This has been going on for years now and in the past they were moving slow but now it looks as though they have forgotten all about it. Yes I know there is wars and violence going on there, but there is also business going on every day and the government is still functioning as well as the banks. Just what are they concerned about? Seriously, is there any signs that they are even working on the RV? As Seabee said, it's the winter blahs that's got us all about ready to start chewing on the furniture. Thanks for putting up with my silly questions Adam, but you are the only one with the answers. Thanks for all you do for us. Countryroads
  14. It has been about as quiet as a tomb in Iraq regarding the RV. Have they lost interest in seeing the conclusion of the RV, or has it been moved to the back burner. Do your people see anything that might suggest they are ready to move on this?
  15. Adam, I have heard that the IMF is in Iraq and are pushing them to get their financial affairs in order. Any thing heard from your group? Go RV................PLEASE
  16. I once waited over an hour for a meal at Bob Evans. I think I can wait this out. Remember the old phrase about "A House Divided Against Itself........." We have stood together through all of the hard times before, and sooner or later the "Law of Averages" will even out in our favor. Hang in there guys, you can't get a ride like this at Walt Disney World and we have seen our share of Goofy's come and go and we will be seeing more. Go RV Countryroads
  17. Adam, do you expect anything worthwhile to come out of the parliament meetings on the 16TH and the 19TH. We seem to so close on all the important issues that they could almost enact them over lunch. While this is the case, they also have the greatest ability to not step over the line and pass them. Still hoping and hanging in there. GO RV, SOON!!! Countryroads
  18. Hi Adam. I was just wondering if the Iraqis are as concerned about the Dinars RVing as we are. Or are they sort of HO HUM on the RV? I am slowly loosing my confidence in this government and the Prime Minister. So is it going to take another change in government to finish this up, or maybe replace the officers of the Iraqi Bank. What's your take on this? Countryroads.
  19. Hi Adam Could you please give us your thoughts on all of the turmoil going on in the mid east. What I am really interested in is if the fighting over there is a problem for the RV? One side of me says it could ruin everything. Then my other side says don't get too concerned as fighting and wars are pretty much an ongoing thing in there lives and they know how to handle it better than we do. So after thinking about, I feel that they have bigger fish to fry and some day they will get bored and get it done. Sorry for rambling, but a few weeks ago I turned 70 years old and maybe the Iraqis will give me a big birthday present. I'll shut up and give someone else a turn Countryroads
  20. Adam, save me a seat for Monday, I don't want to miss this important day with the second reading of the budget. After Monday, maybe I can let myself get a little excited. I have an unopened bottle of Jim Beam in the pantry waiting for just this kind of occasion. And since I just turned 70 last Thursday, I think I might take a couple of drinks.
  21. Adam. If the HCA gets voted into the budget does that mean we will be seeing good things coming at us in the future? Is the Bank of Iraq watching these events or do they have little concern for them? And if all of these budgets issues with the HCA make it into the budget, is there a chance that the bank would still hold off the RV or would they take this as the event they were looking for? Pardon my way of asking question this time, I really need to get more sleep than I have been. Oh a good RV will take care of that Thanks Adam, stay healthy, it's the one thing that an RV can't fix.
  22. Adam. How many days a week is parliament in session? And at these meetings how many representatives are showing up? They say they are going to borrow money from International banks to help with their finances. How can they do that when their money (internationally) has little if any value due to their lack of interest at passing critical legislation. Something has to break before long if they wish to be taken seriously on the International markets. What is your opinion on this Adam? Going to bed now, will check in tomorrow to see what you have to report. Countryroads.
  23. Hi Adam. Do you think that there is anyone in the CBI that knows when the RV is going to take place along with the rate? Or is everyone in the dark. By that I mean are they waiting for certain conditions to happen before they commit. Is Parliament in session or have they taken a vacation. Just don't seem to hear much out of them lately. I guess we just have to wait for some good news about the RV or the HCL. Thanks Adam. Countryroads
  24. Good day Adam. Looking at the questions for this week I see question about different things needing to happen before there can be an RV. I thought that the RV was the sole responsibility of the CBI and not the government. I think that now would be a good time to clarify this again, just to keep us all on the same page. Thanks Adam Countryroads
  25. Hey Adam, if you happen to wonder by this way, I have a quick question. I missed the chat. My question may sound like I am grumbling at Iraq, but I am not. My question is this : with other countries having financial from time to time, why does Iraq seem to never have any major financial problems of their own? I just don't see why they never have any problems like the rest of the world. They have to have a bottomless pit full of every kind of currency there is in the world. And therefore they don't need to RV. Countryroads
