  1. Im just trying to think logically here, but if this Rvs at a smaller rate, lets say(0.35 cents) I bet you a ton of people cash out their stockpile of IQD for USD and take what they can get. the US will then hang onto the IQD we cashed in and when it goes higher, lets say (2-3 bucks) they will make a HUGE profit on those dinars.......not to mention all the tax money we will have to pay, plus the US apparently has a crapload of IQD themselves.....so if this revalues, the US will stand to make a ton of money and therefore be able to shave a lot of out national debt, which in turn would strengthen the USD not making it weaker. Anyone else agree?

    Scam?

Thanks for all the replies guys! I have been reading a lot in the last month or so in regards to the formation of govt, the passing of budget, the different countries with invested interests in the dinar and all, and am very confident this will RV in the near future. Maybe not tomorrow or next week, but I do believe that it will happen before they go to the summit in march.....im keeping my fingers crossed for us!! goodluck all, and God bless! go RV!

    Scam?

I am wondering why this "investment" that we are all making is being called a "scam" on many online websites. I have been a Dinar holder for more than 4 years already and just have recently bought some more, but I just dont understand why these online sites would be making it seem that what we are doing is some sort of joke. Honestly, the risk to reward on this "investment" is relatively painless. I read on one of these sites that you wont be able to cash in your dinar anyplace but Iraq, which I have a hard time believing considering when the dinar Rv's it should become a internationally traded currency and thus be able to be exchanged at any foreign exchange banks......maybe someone can help me shed some light on why these websites feels its just a scam and why its totally unrealistic for us to get rich!? thanks, go RV!
  4. "full leather jacket" sounds like a pretty good movie too, hahaha
  5. Ive posted on another page too and didnt get a reply. Maybe someone can walk me through my options step by step, id really appreciate it. I have 1 million dinar (all 25,000 notes) in my possession, I am looking to put them into an account here in the US. Which big banks do such a transaction? I have been reading a lot of posts of people sending USD to Warka in Iraq but not about people who have Dinars in their possession in the United States looking to set up an account here. It would make sense to me to get these things out of my possession and into an account this way if an when it Rv's it will be that much easier to convert back to USD and start withdrawing......please someone help me with some info! thanks! -chris
  6. Vizio, were you replying to me? if so can you be a little more specific? I belong to a very small bank, and dont think they will have any idea what to do with iraqi money Is there a major bank that I can bring it to, and then what will happen?
  7. Hey there, Was wondering if anyone can help me with some useful info. I currently have 1 Million Dinar, in 25,000 bills and want to deposit them into an account at a bank that will accept them. This way if it RV's in the near future I dont have to worry about having these dinars outside of a bank, and also I could get my 25k bills out of circulation and into USD immediately. Does anyone out there know of which US banks are currently accepting Iraqi Dinar and if so, what I need to do in order to make it happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated! God bless and go RV!
  8. I appreciate your prompt reply, Im wishing the best for everyone who has taken the risk, bc yes there are plenty of people who know alot about this......but honestly, there are even more people out there who have no clue what you are talking about......ive mentioned my story to average people out there and they kinda laugh at me when i say what I have done and what I expect.....but to tell u the truth, im just glad to be "in the game" instead of being on the "Outside looking in" and cant wait to see what actually happens.......either way i see that iraq is settling down and things are gonna stablize in the region...
  9. Hey Mark, I have been reading your posts and have found your information very useful. I was wondering if you could possibly shed some light on my scenerio. I was turned onto investing in the Iraqi Dinar in 2004 by a few fireman co-workers of mine that were veterans of the war in iraq. They convinced me to take a chance on it and told me to just put it away and sit on it until things stabalize in the region. As of right now I am excited about the wait and possibilities of what lies ahead! I wound up buying 1 million dinar and like I said, have been sitting on them for 6 years already. I bought them off an Online website(25,000 bills), and paid a transaction fee and tax. Where does that put me as far as Capital Gains or Ordinary income tax? If and when I cash out back to USD, am I going to be paying 15% tax or 35% tax on the conversion to USD? Obviously we all want to find a way to pay as less as we have to in taxes. Just wondering what would happen with me, and my best options! thanks, -Chris
