I know tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes. I knew when I invested in Dinar there was risk, but I do truly believe the Dinar will revalue. Yes, we all hope for the reval to happen soon, but I also understand there are probaly more uncontrolled variables than we are privy to. The pushing of the button so affects the future of Iraq, I understand why there must be due diligence to protect the economic future of their country. So I will remain faithful to my investment in hopes that the RV will benefit all. And as for those who bring intel or rumors, my hat is off to you. I do not understand the bashing. I enjoy reading and analysing everything brought forth. Putting all the pieces together is like working a crossword puzzle, challenging and fun. I pray God blesses us all soon. Have a great day.

I believe that maybe history is repeating it's self, as in the Kuwaiti Dinar Revalue. The Kuwait government publicly denied the possiblity of a revalue, then BOOOM, it revalued. Iraq, now is now releasing information about possible lopps to divert from the actual truth, maybe because of security reasons or finanacial, I have no idea. Adam's contact is giving sketchy information because he cannot tell the truth as of yet. I believe the Iraqi news releases are just a smoke screen covering the eminent truth. Iraq is going to revalue their currency. Dah do you think they are going to give us the date or the rate? Smokin ... lol

Speaking on speculation: Yesterday, I had a meeting with a VP-Investments at Chase/JPMorgan who said that Iraq is in such debt, thanks to Hussein, that they don’t have the money to support an exchange…and before they let the US capitalize on their Dinar, in all probability, they will come out with a NEW currency, provide time to exchange, reduce it’s value and make it hard for us to turn in our Dinar’s. He said that if it does become 1 dinar = $1.00 US, DON’T expect a 1 to 1 exchange. That I will be must fortune to get back what I paid for the Dinar. He said, Iraq just doesn’t have the billions that will be needed to honor an RV. And that the elections will have no effect on the amount set or the policy that will be imposed for an exchange.
This is not encouraging, to say the least, but it is interesting to note the opinion of a US Banker. He said that the Iraq Dinar will take the same route as the Mexican Peso. Notwithstanding, I’m still optimistic that we will come out of all of this mess with some gain… maybe not as much as we had hoped for, but enough to show for our patience and endurance.

Government approves amendments on 2010 budget

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Council of Ministers approved amendments on the country’s 2010 budget proposed by Parliament, the official spokesperson of the Iraqi government said on Tuesday.
“The Council agreed to allocate ID267,385,000,000 to the Parliament, and 313,569,650,000 to the Supreme Judicial Council, in addition to ID250,000,000,000 to the two institutions of martyrs and political prisoners,” Dr. Ali al-Dabbagh said in a release received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He said that the Council also approved ID263,511,000,000 as Kurdistan’s shares of the budget to develop regions.

CBI sells $162m on Mon.

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Central Bank of Iraq’s (CBI) dollar sales rose to $162.06 million in its daily auction on Monday, compared to $81.712 million in the previous session.
“The demand hit $12.610 million in cash, covered at an exchange rate of 1,170 Iraqi dinars per dollar, and $149.450 million in foreign transfers outside the country, covered at an exchange rate of 1,173 Iraqi dinars per dollar,” according to a CBI news bulletin received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
None of the 15 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars.
The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday.
