In Iraq

I'm afraid if you are awaiting Iraq to help you out that you are SOL. If you knew this country like I do, most people would not have invested in this currency. Most here are a desperate people and do whatever they need to survive just for the basics. The government is totally corrupt and that is straight from the mouths of Iraqis who state that things were better with Saddam in power. This is just my opinion with 7 years of experience observing and interacting with ring side seats.

It kind of makes you think how can this backwards country make so many people "over night millionaires" and they don't even possess the basics of daily sustainment such as drinkable water. It makes you think huh?

This place is still a mess and always will be. I talked with an Iraqi citizen yesterday and he stated they were better off with Saddam than the goverment they have in place now. He said there are many corrupt people in charge now instead of one.

At least the need for water will be a more logical reason for slaughtering each other compared with doing it because of their religious beliefs.

You are exactly right with your statement. None of the self appointed experts have been right so far (week after week). I just laugh and shake my head and think "Who would believe this crap". Most of these sites are for amusement only except for the very rare actual news articles posted. And a lot of them can be hard to interpret. When I see the dinar traded internationally then I know it is finished.

A lot of people are under the impression they were to become instant millionaires from purchasing dinars. You know what they say "If it sounds to good to be true". Well, I purchased way before any of these forums or the so called experts and Gurus popped up.And I pretty much payed nothing for it in 2004 and 2005 here in Iraq. Probably a good thing because if I had read these forums I would have definately stirred clear because I would have concidered it a scam preying on the weak and desperate.

Most have both currencies in their pockets for use.And until we wean them off the US currency they will keep utilizing it.

Don't believe everything you hear or read "LOCO1". Don't fall for the BS or drink the Koolaid, you will see. At least you have a sense of humor and you will need it for this dinar trip.

Your interpretation of the article sounds right. And that is what I hear from these yahoos in Iraq also.
