  3. An article in today's news announces Ahmed Massari: During the week will be approving the budget of the Federal It looks like we have a definitive clock to watch as to when this may RV.... If it can't RV until after the budget is passed, then we now know when they are likely to vote, and when it is likely to RV thereafter? Seems this is at least a concrete article that actually gives a time, versus constructed speculation or analysis.... I might just start getting a tad excited for a minute or two..... 5. I'm relatively new to the site, though not to the world. Been around it more times than I want to count. I was there...right there. I know the the agent(s) who did the executive briefing, and what they said. I know who was there and who did not decide to go in, and who did decide to go in. The decision to go in was not based upon finding wmd. There were many rumors flying about and they almost seemed to have this organic birth and life of their own. It seemed as if they were born out of certainity that they must be there. It was crazy and confusing, and information was flying all over the place. The position and belief of both internal and external agencies protecting the interests of the country is that there were none found. I am not saying that anyone stating otherwise is not accurate. I am saing that if there was some kind of black op out there finding otherwise, this information did not get to the executive level, nor did it engender the go. Enough said.
  6. I don't necessarily agree with everything I read, yet more often than not, I walk away with a different piece or edge of the construct. Maybe I conclude that the poster is a total "tune" yet nonetheless find part of thread that leads to another thread, that takes me back to a larger theme. The only thing that has never ever been helpful in weaving the pieces together, is someone thinking it is their responsibility to point out that the "tune" is an idiot, or full of "BS".... not sure what that need is all about……though am sure that the need assumes a greater knowledge than they likely have……Meaning, this entire process is so beyond most abilities to piece together or understand up here in the nose bleed bleachers…. There are too many players, too many variables, and too many factors, marked by agendas, personalities and cultures juxtaposed with and upon each other …….and that is just one meeting on one day during one hour between t one government of one country. It is statistically probable that much of that passed on as intel, has some grain of truth somewhere within the statement. That it does not come to pass exactly as stated,…. does not mean the information is necessarily wrong, or bad, or contrived. It means that one of the zillion possibilities of variables converging, did not play out as logic would dictate. Had logic ruled, as is rarely possible in these situations….some of that intel called “BS” may have been dead on correct…..I remember once being totally frustrated to the point of choking out the next person I encountered because I could not get the Governor/office to move on something as quickly as I felt was necessary Logic dictated it…movement was the logical conclusion… A colleague reminded me that ‘government is supposed to go at slower pace,….that’s what protects us from autocracy, the impulsiveness of a mad man, and the evil of a Hitler….. In any case, bashing others out of a need to appear superior or knowledgeable; out of fear that this is a scam; out of anger at getting your hopes up only to be let down; or out of some need to control others as a means of controlling your own expectations…..is by far the lesser road and the path of ignorance. Thank God these same bashing people are not the leaders in any real scientific, academic, or intelligent pursuit….. Such a primitive approach drains the energy of curiosity and kills the creativity of dissent. I am not saying one should not disagree or challenge the statements of others…of course, that’s how we all put the pieces together to make a whole….but to simply chide others as if you are right and they are wrong, brings nothing intelligent to the party, and presupposes you know exactly what’s happening… in which case, let me give you my phone number …lol Logic may have dictated this thing should have RV’d months ago. That does not mean you are right about the “gurus” being wrong. It may mean “stuff” happens…and people do what people will…..If its possible, perhaps offering an intelligent point of disagreement would be helpful in both learning and teaching. If it’s not possible to offer intelligent discourse, then perhaps your silence is the most productive thing you can contribute…. The dinar will RV, and the algorithms of current logic would support this year…. And logic rarely rules such an emotional event. God Bless…..
  7. Nice MrSonnyr...... Thanks !!! It would be interesting to have a platform to discuss this aspect of the game and share links....
  8. Carrello, you totaly cracked me up wth that one........ Thanks for the great laugh !
  9. Just a thought. When the dinar RVs, take a cruise up there....its amazing! That way you can get snippets of the landscape and determine where you want to return for further exploration. They have crusies that are ship to shore, boat to land..get on train an tour countryside then back on boat to the lower 48.Great way to go IMO, and nice way to see lots of variety. Whatever you do,make sure to arrange it in a way you get to see the ice fields and glaciers.... Oh and last time I went was in Sept.... 70 degrees and sun for 2 weeks.... Not sure if thats typical.
  10. What I actually want to know.... in giving context to the story of course...... Was the BOA Executive riding in the front seat or the back seat of the car transporting him to the game (colleague or Daisey?)
  11. Possum Re: Your location..... One of the conference rooms here at headquarters for the State is named "Trinity River"... Should I be looking for you under a conference table or behind one of the white boards? Wear a red rose so I can recognize you ...I don't think the beret is distinct enough.. okay? See ya under the table !
  12. Totally laughing here... bet you are not the only one using that for a bank either When you get back home here you may want to look into the company that actually makes a safe as part of your bed frame (box springs).... its pretty incredible, high end, well made and price tag to match... the only downfall is having to completely rip apart the bed to get to it....
  13. Thanks DFlake !!! So is Saleh kind of like the National Enquirer of the ME? I've no comparison index for them, but gather from your advice that they are not pristine in their recounting of events? I'll look around more.... thanks
  14. According to News from Iraq: This day of network news (HNN) - announced the Central Bank of Iraq adviser, on Sunday, the Iraqi government can fill the deficit in the budget in 2011 by borrowing from their deposits in government banks. The Iraqi government has approved the draft federal budget law for fiscal year 2011, so that the budget amounting to about 79.6 billion dollars, so when calculating the oil per barrel to U.S. $ 73, and the rate of export of 2.25 million barrels per day. He said the appearance of Mohammed Saleh, a Kurdish news agency (Rn) that "the Iraqi Central Bank granted the right of the Iraqi government to borrow $ 10 trillion Iraqi dinars from their deposits in government banks available through the Ministry of Finance." Saleh added that "the value of deposits for government departments and public sector banks in the $ 32 trillion dollars, but are scattered among the banks because of the difficulty of coordination." 2011". Saleh pointed out that "the process of government loans from deposits in banks will address fully the subject of the financial deficit facing budget in 2011." He continued by saying that "borrowing from banks will balance between monetary policy, and between the fiscal policy of the country and Aidjal any conflict between them during the next stage." Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has warned of a fiscal deficit confuse the completion of projects for 2011 in case the central bank did not fill the deficit in the general budget of the country by oil reserves. In the view of the central bank lending to the government plan would disrupt cash reserves during the next phase. It is hoped that you read the second reading of the budget session in the Iraqi Council of Representatives on Tuesday. It is expected that the budget deficit to reach about $ 12 billion, in what is expected that the rate of spending about 54.7 billion dollars. Iraq relies He is a member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries on oil revenues to finance about 95 percent of its annual budget. In the view of many economists that the budget was delayed more than the current time would disrupt the process of construction, age and will be followed the movement of government and ministries. " ويشهد إعداد الموازنات المالية للبلاد وإقرارها تأخيرا من قبل الحكومة ومجلس النواب بسبب كثرة الاعتراضات والانتقادات على بعض فقراتها أبرزها أوجه الصرف والتخصيصات المالية لبعض المؤسسات الحكومية والرئاسات الثلاث. And witness the preparation of budgets, the country's financial and approval delays by the government and the House of Representatives because of the large number of objections and criticisms on some of its paragraphs highlighted aspects of exchange and the financial allocations for some government institutions and the three presidencies. And announced that the advisers in the Iraqi prime minister that the government decided to raise the investment ratio in the slot in the current year budget to 30% at the expense of the operational aspect in order to support investment projects. The Central Bank of Iraq that the 2011 budget will raise economic growth to 10% of what it was, noting it was built according to the country's economic policy. آكانيوز Rn Link : http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ar&tl=en&u=http://www.swalefnalhelwa.com/news.php%3Faction%3Dview%26id%3D1127&rurl=translate.google.com&usg=ALkJrhg-EkOvxzFQLyuaplWCX4orjYQbvQ Not sure if this means anything specific, though thought it might be of interest to those of you following the detail. I notice that this announcement is very close to the IMF projection for the GDP (from 2xx to 11xx in 2011)....That kind of bump alone should comfort those who many worry about covering the exchange when the dinar revalues.

    Scooter Chat

Thanks Scooter for your analysis, synthesis and sharing.... This is better than any mystery novel and totally intrigued as to why M did what he did... and more so, why he HAD to do what he did..... I so hate these cliff hangers!!!
  16. Nice.... I am waiting with you for that response. Having been there, it would certainly lend a few more credibility points to the scorecard of accurate analysis.
  17. Pegasus0ne Nice.... thanks for the thoughtful post.... sounds like there may be a few corroborative discussions we could have one day..... sometimes its just so dam big....... thanks !!!!
  18. Uhmmmm I am thinking nothing would keep us from doing that...... well except where do you get the list? Is there a list? I so did not get that memo, and would be really happy if someone would post the link in here.... Thanks for the idea Capt Jack..... from one ole Capt to another..... I am so about that list now Ahhhhhh wait, just had a thought...... how many currencies are supposed to revalue? I know there are a lot of countries on the planet.... but doesn't 180 just about encompass all of them....and then some? I am not in any way casting dispersions......and am genuinely questioning that number..... It seems 180 countries revaluing on the same day would be..... wow... not sure..... but pretty intense....Ya know, I just might take off work on Feb 1st to watch this.....
  19. Thanks Ron !!! Appreciate you bringing this information to us here at DV
  20. Oops!!!! Sorry you can't see me slapping my head with that dufyus look I get when I totally blow past what someone just said ... so I can say the same thing!
  21. Too funny And thanks for the intel.... explains all that early morning fondling my dinar note before work
  22. Hasn't the DFI date of expiration been extended to 30 June 2011 ??
  23. I am confused about the confusion. Let me see if I am tracking here. 1) If someone sold you dinar with the promise that it would increase exponentially just by virtue of it being dinar, then yes….that is a scam. The dinar as current dinar has been at a fairly stable rate of 1:1178 for over a year or so. You will not make a fortune trying to buy it low and sell it high at its present value. So if someone or some article tells you it’s a scam as you will not make money on the dinar in its current value/state……. They are correct. AND it is also correct that has nothing whatsoever the profit margin that comes with the currency being revalued or re-indexed.. I doubt anyone on this forum bought dinar with the understanding they would make money as a currency exchanger.…..or that they would make exponential money from this investment through speculative demand versus supply and the rising cost of this currency over time (600.00 in 2004 for what is now selling for 1200.00). Most bought dinar as an investment on speculation that it will revalue. While the word speculation is in both scenarios, do not confuse the rising cost of dinar to be the same as the dinar revaluing. Therefore it is completely false logic to take a speculative demand and supply cost increase and apply that reasoning to this investment as currency that will revalue (or reindex). The former is not the sum total of the speculation. The profit from the speculation comes with it’s revalue….. 2) To my way of thinking, a teller at the bank telling me that they do not trade in IQD means nothing other than they looked at their sheet, it did not have IQD on it, therefore they do not trade it. Why would they think it odd, why would they even question it….. I would guess very few of them sit in front of their computers researching the geopolitical currency climate of the middle east. Apart from that, many of the tellers weren’t even born or were conscious when the Kuwaiti reindex happened…. And those that were around like the majority of those in the US, probably missed it entirely. They have no index against which to measure what is happening…. Hell we don’t have that. It is unprecedented in the way it’s unfolding. No one has been down this path,… so in some ways, it makes no sense to ask questions like we know what the answers mean. We don’t. not entirely….and hooking it to simple logic will probably make for more disappointment and confusion. I would guess that the majority of the time a teller informs you that the bank does not buy IQD, it means the teller is not invested in the IQD, has no idea why you even have it, and when checking on their currency sheet, they do not see it (along with a slew of other currencies they don’t trade). If it’s not on the trade sheet, it would make sense they would tell you there are no plans to trade it…. Because, they don’t have info or memo to the contrary… and why should anything about that currency change? Its not been in their bank for the span of most their careers. Why would they have reason to expect it to be different? 3) The logic of most negative statements against the dinar is either a retread, or has been overcome by events dating it. We are treading unknown waters in the progression of this event. We can apply disconnected logic in hopes we have some idea of what will happen when. But the fact that more time has passed then you hoped, or guessed, or believed it would take…. does not mean there is anything wrong with this investment. It has nothing to do with the investment being good or bad. It just means you want something to happen sooner than it has. 4) My experience in high level government suggests we have no idea what is going on. So many things change in a matter of seconds on so many levels… and then you bring in the needs of other members and agencies and governments and agendas….. I would guess it likely that a large part of the intel we have heard over the past few months, could have likely been true. All of it (okay except for RV dates). And even some of these dates may have been correct, and something completely out of left field commanded by a key player turns it totally upside down….Yeah, some of it rings of total poo…..some of it absolutely debunked. Yet, even if it contradicted something stated just the day before. I have seen it happen. I have experienced it…. sometimes only hours after something completely opposite was announced….. and I was the head of the damn agency…. The more players, the more money involved, the more scrutiny focused upon the decisions, the more governments or factions requiring agenda attention, the more likely the RV process will take twists and turns that take on a life of its own… And still it will RV/RI. It will happen. It may not look like what you think it should. And it will progress on a path all its own, apart from your needs. And it remains a great investment, that will one day evolve into a wonderful profit for those invested. My 6 cents for the day….. God Bless……
  24. Ahhhhh wish I had some to hide. My measley 3 10K bills aren't even worth the bother to conceal in any meaningful way I'm an analysis geek and am facinated with the mystery of this game and watching how it unfolds.
  25. Thanks Bumper !!!! Don't know about ya'll but the sentence " During a recent private meeting, in which I attended,( the Iraqi currency was addressed)" says to me that whoever this is, its pretty clear he/she is in a position to actually know of what they speak.... and remains fairly objective and matter of fact in reporting it.... Thanks to whomever this is, for sticking your neck out to share what you can in helping us to make sense of yet more pieces in this convoluted and multivariate national puzzle....
