  1. Hey Mark..... something is going on with the site, and it looks like you sent me a message... and the site keeps showing error.... So I am trying to get back to you and can't.... Just wanted you to know that I am not ignoring, just can't get to you..... Will keep trying
  2. I am sure everyone has their reasons for not being able to share this over that bit of information, here and there..... and okay fine, its all good with me...... Though I have to say in the case of an announced rate..... well call me madcap, but it seems to me that any such announcement of a rate would stand in competition with all the other announcements of a rate, which seem to grow exponentially.... and would be lost right along with those announcements, as they are cast aside for the next best piece of rate information... Don't think there is any need to worry that an announced rate would compromise some major process elsewhere in the world.... "WOLF" has been cried too many times for anyone to suddenly drop everything and respond... NOT saying the intell is bad, just saying it is a mere blip on a radar full of blips and yes.... it will RV Oh and Ron....YOU ROCK THANKS
  3. I don;'t think this is a typo....the 1 March 2010 date... It seems to be exactly what it is, and consistent with what this page it stating..... If you look further, you will see that the UN put the IQD value at the 1170 on 1 March 2010.... Then you look at the page that announces new rates... and when the new whatever is published, you see what date this new amount will be published by the UN What I get from this is that the UN listed the IQD currency at 1170 on March 1 2010 and any change in that rate will be announced on those dates referenced in the chart (if applicable)... Am I missing another chart, or function to this one It is quite possible for sure And just how I read what is being stated this particular UN document, at this time..

    Adams Show link

I was really looking forward to what Adam had to say.... and just as he approached anything with meaningful depth, .....one of the hosts of the show would ask things like ......how much is lemon aide at the country club....(in essence)......You know the man is a wealth of information..... God forbid he get to share some of that..... Kramer, the giggling didn't stop.... good you hung up or you would have hung, and we would be cutting you down right about now....... Fortunately some of the listeners were able to ask questions that many of us wanted answers to.... and again, unfortunately as Adam was getting to the meat of some of....it got derailed by the glee club.... Thanks to the those who were able to ask questions... Adam was a consumate gentleman with exceptional grace and poise in handling this "event" and I could have listened to him all night.... Thanks Adam !!!! ! for pointing the listeners to the opportunity to get such an exceptional discount package in getting your material (discount found in the Announcements section)...... And Thanks Adam!!!!! for your work and insight in providing us with the benefit of your knowledge :) Would love to hear more of you and your insights Thanks also to the show hosts.....appreciate your efforts to have Adam there to speak....and grateful you made the effort to do that....
  5. Got it ! Thanks Mark.... Hope to see you soon in a mailbox near you
  6. Oh Dinarsaurus.... you are in so much better shape than I am...... I finally realized that all the people who I thought were crazy for politically endorsing RuPaul... were actually talking about a guy named Ron Paul..... Guess I got to get out more into the sunshine
  7. TJ.... I agree totally with what you say, and was probaly a bit off on my header.... Better said probably would have been, " the government is really not seated fully (as reported), they are still bantering about the Supreme Court Law (given power over the CBI to the cabinet), are midst the second reading of the budget, and still have critical issues to solve before that can be passed", and as result, the "speculation about a 15 Feb RV is likely premature"..... However that was too long to put in the header I agree that RV info would not likely be placed in this type of article, ..... I was offering it as a puzzle piece of information for those putting this together.... (with the RV probability about 15 Feb my own conclusion).... I really feel for people clinging to a date believed to be important, only to let go when another shows up.... it seems there may be a few who are living here online, and swinging through the tree tops of "intelligence" by exchanging one vine of hope for the next".... Hopefully some of them may let go of that strategy for one of looking at information and putting the pieces together as a process that accompanies their lives, instead of consuming it.... The 15th was supposed to be another one of those "big dates", and I was hoping to provide info encouraging folks to let go of the vine, settle into gathering knowledge, and living their lives..... at least for that day, absent clinging on to hope that it would be today different from any other based upon unconfirmed speculation.... Thanks TJ for giving me the heads up so I could clarify my intention in posting..... (and yes, for better reflection as to titles for posts ).... It will RV, the process is organic.... let go of the vine and live your life....
  8. Thanks for the advice Paco.... the link is: http://www.iraq-businessnews.com/category/politics/ It is not a google translation....and is direct English.... Thank goodness... sentence structure and conjugated verbs much easier to follow... Good point though. I speak several languages and the google translator is getting better.. and still leaves things like tense (past present) among others in need of refinement.....
  9. Nice And thanks...sage advise that appers as logically sound as anything I have read these past few months...and totally supports what is happening in markets.... Wish it would RV sooner then later....though your scenario makes perfect sense... darn anyway.. Thanks for the perspective and thoughts about where we are and where we may want to be...
  10. dFlake.... looks like once again there is a conflict of information..... for something new and different. huh .. I found (and posted in this section) a report from Norweigen reporter in Iraq who was at the parliment today (14Feb) saying they are still working on the 2nd draft and are in discussion about it today.... Maybe they passed it after the reporter filed his story.... I'm also wondering with all the language variations,if passed means something different in the reporting language.... Like maybe there is a nuance and passed may or may not mean finished? I also noticed they are also discussing the Federal Supreme Count bill.... I wonder if that is the ruling putting CBI under the cabinet? And if so, if they have to resolve that question before this RVs...not sure, and have no confirmation as to what is meant by this reported discussion... In any case, looks like with even confirmed reports that there remains a difference of opinion (or report) as to what is really going on....
  11. I don't see any mention of an RV as a focus of discussions which instead seems to focus upon formation of the government, 2nd reading of Federal Supreme Court bill and the budget (with or without oil-export controversy).... oh and mention of Maliki leaving two key posts open and instead creating two new ministers with vague portfolios.... Granted this is a new article covering the parliment.... and is not a live insider giving information that may be more current...or perhaps this reporter doesn't cue in on RV and therein does not include it. I did think it an interesting report of todays parlimentary session.....and don't find it nearly as confirmatory as to Gov't being seated as live intel is reporting. No sure that means anything relative to RV....but here is one more piece to those doing their research in trying to figure out what is happening..... The Ongoing Govt-Formation Process: Phase 2 Completed Posted on 14 February 2011. Tags: Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, Reidar Visser The following article was published by Reidar Visser, an historian of Iraq educated at the University of Oxford and currently based at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs. It is reproduced here with the author’s permission. . The second government of Nuri al-Maliki that was confirmed by the Iraqi parliament on 21 December 2010 was in many respects an incomplete one. No security ministers had been nominated, and these portfolios, along with almost a dozen other ministries for which the parties in government had failed to nominate candidates, were left in the hands of caretaker ministers who were already heading other jobs. Notably, these arrangements included Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki himself with respect to his continued control of the security ministries. In today’s session in the Iraqi parliament, some further steps were finally taken after a long period of inaction, although the government-formation process remains far from complete. Altogether eight more ministers were confirmed. The Kurdish parties got trade and civil society as expected, and Iraqiyya got electricity, albeit with a new candidate (Raad al-Ani) instead of their previous nominee. Maliki’s own all-Shiite National Alliance took the portfolios of national dialogue (Amir al-Khuzai from Basra and of the Daawa party), municipalities (Adil Mahudar from Maysan, a Sadrist) and women’s affairs (Ibtihal Jasid). Additional ministries of state were given to the Kurds and Iraqiyya; the latter earmarked for tribal affairs and given to Jamal al-Batikh from Wasit and belonging to Ayad Allawi’s faction. It is noteworthy that among the State of Law candidates, both Khuzai and Mahudar had been floated as candidates back in December and it is unclear why it has taken so long to confirm them. It is also interesting that two ministries held by Sadrists as deputyships and expected by some to be filled by new Sadrist ministers have still not been distributed: Planning and public works, the first of which being considered as one of the key ministries on offer. Thus, instead of completing his government, Maliki left key posts open (like security) and proceeded to create two new ministers of state with vague portfolios. But the enlargement of the executive branch of government does not stop with the now 40 plus ministers. Another item that got discussed today only to end with an impasse was the election of deputies to the president, Jalal Talabani. Despite the largely ceremonial powers of these posts (the presidency should not be confused with the powerful, veto-wielding presidency council which has now expired), Iraqi parties have put up an intense fight for them. A law passed in early January set a ceiling on a maximum three vice-presidents, but Talabani has recently begun calling for a fourth Turkmen deputy to be included alongside his current nominees for the post (Tariq al-Hashemi of Iraqiyya, Adil Abd al-Mahdi of ISCI and Khudayr al-Khuzai of the Daawa/Tanzim al-Iraq). This move met with resistance from both Maliki and those who thought more vice presidents would just be a waste of money, so on today’s agenda was only a motion for parliament to confirm Hashemi, Abd al-Mahdi and Khuzai. However, in today’s session, a temporary alliance that had warmed up to Talabani’s ideas for a Turkmen vice president – consisting reportedly of the Kurds, Iraqiyya and the Sadrists and hence somewhat reminiscent in composition of the opposition that Maliki was facing in early 2010 – tried to press for the vote on the presidential deputies to be conducted individually, with a tacit understanding that Khuzai might be voted out to leave room for a Turkmen. Maliki’s allies reacted to this, and with some reason since the relevant law just talks about a “nomination” (tarshih) by the president to be confirmed by parliament, which sounds pretty much like a singular bundle of names and a single vote. At any rate, on tomorrow’s parliamentary agenda is included a vote on an amendment to the law on the presidential deputies that will likely create a fourth deputy and thereby highlight the institution of the presidency as playground for those who want to highlight the consociational aspect of Iraqi democracy, i.e. ethno-sectarian quotas. It may well turn into a busy week with a second reading on the federal supreme court bill as well as continuing discussions of the budget (with or without oil-export controversy) scheduled for Monday and Wednesday. Additionally, the much-trumpeted strategic policy council – touted by the Obama administration as the cornerstone of the supposed power-sharing deal that was arrived at last December – may or may not come into existence over coming months, but probably not in the shape that had been envisioned initially. The vice-president debacle was a sorry finale to a session that had started with a rather inappropriate lecture by Ibrahim al-Jaafari on the supposed Iraqi antecedents and inspirations for the events in Tunisia and Egypt. Those interested in real democracy should probably look elsewhere for inspiration right now! As we are nearing the one-year anniversary of the 7 March 2010 elections, the Iraqi government-formation process remains incomplete. At the same time, since all the parties except the Kurdish Gorran are included in government, there is the obvious lacuna of a healthy opposition. Little wonder, in that context, that political violence and extremism continue to thrive on the margins of a clogged parliamentary system.
  12. Hi Mark..... I have been reading your information and appreciate what you have contributed. Are you taking IQD clients, and if so, how would my friend contact you. My tax prep is farily extensive as it is.... and I am not not tax savy.... at all.... period.... God love my accountant for making sense of the mouse maze I send him.... I can't help my friend who wants to know the following: My question which could well come from the land of stupid.... is: does one have to set up a trust (of whatever kind is demed appropriate) or set up the whatevers, BEFORE cashing in IQD.... or does that have to happen before the end of the tax year.... Probably not a simple question.... Having just read taht we may have only 90 days to exchange for the lower denominations may change the game plan for some, and I am asking for a friend who wants to figure out what is best to do in asset protection... Thanks for all you have contributed
  13. Smee.... from what I heard and/or read, the first attempt was on Wednesday... the second wtih A present at the same time, was Friday evening.... That was what was reported.... I didn't hear directly from anyone I know.... picked it up somewhere along the line of devouring info
  14. Well like I said last time this same article was posted.... I would guess the guy wrote this in recognizing the dinar to be a super hot topic.... this of course was likely fueled by the thousands of us on these forums calling them daily in total hysteria at even the slightest blip on the RV radar….. Of course there was the one night that people were actually racing to grocery stores in the middle of the night to get calling cards so they could call some bank in Kuwait..... I think the tally was in the thousands by the end of that shift, with answers running the whole gamete despite calling the exact same bank. There are other thousands of us who have traipsed through the bank asking about this thing called the dinar…. And I am thinking any astute banker would probably notice there was something going on after number 3099 person walked in with the same questions about dinar and RV…. So now he has to write a news letter and sound somewhat coherent in formulating his opinions. He didn’t reference one current event evenly remotely connected to this…. Indeed, you’ll note his references are about as dated and superficial as can be….. about as far as the first Google entry with a lot of plausible words that seem to make sense….And like was just said earlier…. He is selling WF products, understands those products,, and makes money off the products he’s paid to understand and sell daily… Its pretty clear he used metrics that he understands relative to an index he can appreciate and really didn’t’ do much research beyond a few Google hits….and even that he missed in using such dated material to form his analysis…. I am sure that his level of understanding what he sells relative to his knowledge about the dinar would lead him to make the exact conclusions he did…. Pretty straight up…. They were made based upon a false foundation and limited understanding framed by knowledge of products completely unrelated to what is happening to the dinar. He completely missed this to be a dynamic rather organic process, and treated more like the static products he offers…. Not slamming WF products in any sense and actually I like the bank…. Just saying that this analysis is fairly predictable given the variables he used to formulate the question and the index framing his analysis… I’d be suspicious had he said anything different… Oh and he’s wrong, and this will RV and perhaps he will then understand the dynamics of what is unfolding before him…and probably smack his head that he wrote this while watching the Super Bowl ! .
  15. [OKIE_OIL_MAN] after 2 A.M. Tonight if nothing else comes in then i will have no more intel. I have been assured all necessary steps (which were mainly political) are all taken care of and theres nothing--i repeat nothing--standing in the way of the r/v. Read more: Soooo at the risk of ........well I am not sure what..... swimming against this stream perhaps... . It is possible that Okie is absolutely correct... and there is a chance we may never know this.... He is not saying it will RV tomorrow or any other time in particular. What I am reading (absent any further asumptions) is that he is saying ....:.......... the mechanism, whatever that is, that comprises whatever process is needed in Iraq,, is as that process, in and of itself, ... done in preparing to shoot. And as far as the mechanics of actually pulling that RV trigger, there is nothing left to prepare in terms of the trigger finger... and its ability to pull... I don't see anything that says the finger can pull the trigger.... and I am not reading that all the geopolitics of the whatever have cleared the path so whoever can shoot..... Just that there is finger on the trigger, and it is prepared to pull with the go ahead. Who knows what else my be in the way between the trigger and the target....... And unfortunately it appears this may be one that can neither be confirmed or denied, unless in hindsight, some documentary person is able to accurately reconstruct the entire path..... And yes I know that Okie has a history, and it at times its emotionally frustrating to ride the rollar coaster.... but I for one would have to advocate in this particular case, one would only want to smite another for crimes actually committed versus those alledged in the past.... Okay, smite me now if you must.... I'm just one of those old fashioned puriest smite people
  16. Thanks for sharing the info!.... add one more piece to the puzzle of our own research... Now of course I am going to hope that the 5pm time is not the time that the engineer is scheduled to come and change out the little red LED lights for the IQD line on the exchange board... lol
  17. Thanks! KCT for joining the site and posting the info so the rest of us have benefit of being able toread what is out there... and make decisions for ourselves..... It would seem that the double speak is not much unlike that used by our government for years.... I have to say that the concept of controlled chaos makes perfet sense..... and that may well be a reflection of too many years staying low profile in the background while serving the country and its people...... In any event, thanks for this angle shot in viewing the whole thing from a different perspecitve.... It is more than plausible in my world.... then again, I probably need to retire soon...
  18. I was thinking that..... or a GCC currency lfor the ME ike that the IMF wanted to launch at the end of 2010, but has been pushed ou until I think 2015
  19. Hey Keep, interesting perspective and I get the logic of where you are coming from in analysis. There's one disconnect for me that maybe you can resolve.... The infrastructure of Iraq is abysmal and suffering in almost every sector. Their economy primarily based upon oil (among other resources)lies there as they can’t fully pump without repaired infrastructure etc etc… China and Russia have a pile of oil contracts with them.… and the US has relatively very few (in comparison). When you look at the shipping manifests, you see countries from all over the world… Food is a major issue and must be imported, and at least half the working force works for the Iraqi government as it is. And on and on and on…. How can this country grow its economy, or benefit from the international contracts which in turn will build the infrastructures in tandem with the government, if they don’t have an internationally recognized currency. In many ways, keeping their currency local will seemingly engender more of the same…. They’ve had benefit of IMF loans over the years and have worked toward building this foundation, however, they won’t be able to trade competitively for the materials needed to take it to the next level, nor will they be able to benefit from international corporate investment if they don’t have a currency upon which to base trade…. The country does not have all the raw materials, labor, money, or expertise to build the infrastructure that will take them from this level of existence to the next. The corporate US is a very small player in the infrastructure development compared to other countries, who are now sitting on the sidelines waiting for someone to pull the currency trigger. They can’t grow much less sustain an economy or wealth on merely speculation that when they are able to enter the world trade market,…. they will be able to produce. Without an international exchange capability, they will remain in their present economic state, as which point one would have to ask, what are the benefits of waiting if that decision is based upon economics…. Of course having said that, I have no idea when the dinar will RV… only that I believe it will…. And for all I know it could be at the end of this year or months away as you say…. No disagreement there for sure and I have nothing that clearly states otherwise…… My question is more one of why would they choose to wait or delay the one factor that will allow them to build or grow their economy, in favor of waiting around in poverty? Thanks for the insight and as always your willingness to stay grounded
  20. I was going to post this exact article until I noted it was published 8 Jan 2011 and had been debunked in in posts on DV.... Have to admit, when I first read it I was excited, until I started checking it out.... And it will RV and lets all hope its this next week. I could live with that.... right after I panic in figuring out what to do next....
  21. Per information cited in another post, they are dotting their "i" and crossing their "t" I'm thinking that's code for any day now
  22. :)I would guess the guy wrote this in recognizing the dinar to be a super hot topic.... this of course was likely fueled by the thousands of us on these forums calling them daily in total hysteria at even the slightest blip on the RV radar….. 23. Wow this really got me to thinking....... Where was I when they invented some of these countries and when did that happen....... Last I time I tuned half of them didn't exist..... And how was it possible for them to actually move entire countries and put them someplace completely different on the map......
  24. Ohhh man this one indicates we might be in trouble wating for a longgggg time, so I want to check it out.... Does the Iraqi alphabet even actually have an "i" or a "t" in it as part of their alphabet. I am guessing they did not write the budget in English. And every time I go to Iraqi sites, I love the shapes of the letters in thier words.... but I just can't recall ever seeing an "i" or a "t".... I wonder if that is what is taking so long in this RV.... they can't find the "i" and "t" to dot and cross.... Oh mannnnnn I am gonna go buy GBP, at least that alphabet has i and t in it.... so whatever it is they do with their currency, they can at least dot and cross stuff and be done with it..... Thanks for the info.... Humor has by some been characterized as 'arid' ..... indexing it against dry
  25. A variation of this same exact ad was posted on Craigslist (free) in several midwiest areas about a month ago. Its essentially the same ad, except in this case, they added the names of real individuals doing real businees in trading dinar. .. And its posted in the area of one of the real individuals business... .... It looks a tad like slander to me as well and tracing it back to the source with a warrent would not be a problem at all. I agree if i were the person posting, I would take it down like yesterday... There must be other ways to humorously vent one's anger and potentially a lot less costly to them as a result..... not much skating on that one if someone fiies.....
