Last month Time Magazine posted an article refuting the claim ISIS — now the fully militarized Islamic State — is an intelligence operation.
The article by war propagandist Aryn Baker states “conspiracy theories are nothing new in the Middle East.” Baker squarely places responsibility for the declared conspiracy theory on Iran. According to Baker, the Iranians claim the ISIS offensive currently underway in Iraq is “part of a U.S.-backed plot to destabilize the region and protect Israel.”
Baker reports IRNA and the Tehran Times believe NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden was responsible for uncovering details about operation Beehive, also translated as Hornet’s Nest, which is described as a joint U.S., British and Israeli effort to “create a terrorist organization capable of centralizing all extremist actions across the world.”
Baker concludes there is no evidence within the Snowden trove of any such plot. She chalks the accusation up to another baseless internet rumor. “Yet Iranian government officials and independent analysts in Iran alike cited IRNA’s report as definitive proof of ISIS’s American and Israeli origins,” she writes.
Evidence of IRNA and the Tehran Times, however, making the claim is suspiciously absent. “Regrettably, not knowing the date of IRNA’s scoop, or being able to view its text online, complicates investigation,” writes Alan Kurtz.
Kurtz traces responsibility for the “Snowden Hoax” to a German website, www.shababek.de, and Kareem al-Baidani. A photo of al-Baidani is used on the Facebook page of Abosamir Albaidani, identified by Kurtz as “an Iraqi Shiite writer based in Munich, Germany” who may or may not be associated with an al-Alam television show, Iraq Today. Al-Alam is an Arabic news channel broadcasting from Iran by the state-owned media corporation Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.
The story was picked up by Iran’s Fars New Agency (FNA) and subsequently posted across the internet. It was also cited in a story posted by Infowars.com.
Glenn Greenwald and others state there is no evidence in the Snowden cache that ISIS is linked to the CIA, Mossad or any other intelligence agency.
Greenwald posted the following on his Twitter account today:
Greenwald points to Ben Wizner, a lawyer with the ACLU, who retweets spy novelist Jeremy Duns. Duns provides a link to the Kurtz blog post claiming to document the “Snowden Hoax” and a lack of definitive evidence connecting ISIS to the CIA or Mossad and pointing back to Iranian propaganda.
“The validity of the document,” we wrote on July 19, “cannot be verified due to the exclusivity of the Snowden cache. Cryptome sent a letter to various sources in possession of the documents, including The New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, Barton Gellman, Laura Poitrias, Glenn Greenwald, ACLU, EFF and others demanding an accounting. The allegation about ISIS and al-Baghdadi, however, pairs up with other information demonstrating ISIS is an intelligence asset.”
The remainder of our July 19 article lays out broad strokes demonstrating that ISIS is indeed a military and intelligence asset.
The putative (and mercurial) leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was reportedly a “civilian internee” at Camp Bucca, a U.S. military detention facility near Umm Qasr, Iraq. James Skylar Gerrond, a former U.S. Air Force security forces officer and a compound commander at Camp Bucca in 2006 and 2007, said the camp “created a pressure cooker for extremism.”
“Circumstantial evidence suggests that al-Baghdadi may have been mind-controlled while held prisoner by the US military in Iraq,” writes Dr. Kevin Barrett.
In July Nabil Na’eem, the founder of the Islamic Democratic Jihad Party and former top al-Qaeda commander, told the Beirut-based pan-Arab TV station al-Maydeen all current al-Qaeda affiliates, including ISIS, work for the CIA.
In June a Jordanian official told Aaron Klein of WorldNetDaily ISIS members were trained in 2012 by U.S. instructors working at a secret base in Jordan. In 2012 it was reported the U.S., Turkey and Jordan were running a training base for the Syrian rebels in the Jordanian town of Safawi.
“Key members of ISIS it now emerges were trained by US CIA and Special Forces command at a secret camp in Jordan in 2012, according to informed Jordanian officials,” writes William Engdahl. “The US, Turkish and Jordanian intelligence were running a training base for the Syrian rebels in the Jordanian town of Safawi in the country’s northern desert region, conveniently near the borders to both Syria and Iraq. Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the two Gulf monarchies most involved in funding the war against Syria’s Assad, financed the Jordan ISIS training.”
A scripted “geopolitical struggle between the US and Russia” is “the objective of leading neo-conservatives in the CIA, Pentagon and State Department all along,” Engdahl continues. “The CIA transported hundreds of Mujahideen Saudis and other foreign veterans of the 1980s Afghan war against the Soviets in Afghanistan into Chechnya to disrupt the struggling Russia in the early 1990s, particularly to sabotage the Russian oil pipeline running directly from Baku on the Caspian Sea into Russia. James Baker III and his friends in Anglo-American Big Oil had other plans. It was called the BTC pipeline, owned by a BP-US oil consortium and running through Tbilisi into NATO-member Turkey, free of Russian territory.”
The history of the CIA’s involvement in terrorist activities — in Bosnia as well as Chechnya and other former Soviet states — is well-known to historians. It is however ignored by Time Magazine and its groomed propagandists. The Snowden cache may indeed not contain a reference to the CIA, Mossad and ISIS. On the other hand, because the documents are closely held, as Cryptome argues, we will not know this for sure until they are made public.
Simply attributing the linkage to perennial enemy Iran and media pariah Infowars.com — and dismissing a possible linkage out of hand as a hoax — will not hide the fact the CIA, Mossad, British intelligence, et al, have all specialized in creating terror groups and have used these to gain geopolitical advantage, as they are now attempting to do with a putative ISIS domestic terror threat and renewed military activity in Iraq.

The parents of Peter Kassig, the American aid worker who became the fifth hostage to be beheaded by the Islamic State, recalled the selfless work he performed in Syria.
Mr Kassig, who converted to Islam and changed his name from Peter to Abdul-Rahman, was captured in October last year while travelling in an ambulance to deliver medical supplies to stricken civilians in the east of the country.
The 26 year old former army ranger from Indianapolis, who served in Iraq in 2007, became an aid worker after leaving the army.
He devoted himself to providing support to a country where more than nine million civilians had been forced out of their homes during a savage civil war.
The plight of the Syrians was also recalled by Mr and Mrs Kassig in a statement they issued on Facebook paying tribute to their son.

“We are heartbroken to learn that our son, Abdul-Rahman Peter Kassig, has lost his life as a result of his love for the Syrian people and his desire to ease their suffering,” they wrote.
“Our heart also goes out to the families of the Syrians who lost their lives, along with our son.
“Fed by a strong desire to use his life to save the lives of others, Abdul-Rahman was drawn to the camps that are filled with displaced families and to understaffed hospitals inside Syria.
“We know he found his home amongst the Syrian people, and he hurt when they were hurting.”
They quoted a letter which Mr Kassig sent in March 2012, when he announced he was taking a leave of absence from Butler University in Indianapolis, to help the Syrian people.
“Here, in this land, I have found my calling,” Mr Kassig wrote. "II do not know much. Every day that I am here I have more questions and less answers, but what I do know is that I have a chance to do something here, to take a stand. To make a difference.”
Ed and Paula Kassig said they were “incredibly proud” of their son for living his life according to his humanitarian calling.
We will work every day to keep his legacy alive as best we can.
“We remain heartbroken, also, for the families of the other captives who did not make it home safely.
“The families of James Foley, Steven Sotloff, David Haines, and Alan Henning remain in our daily thoughts and prayers, and we pray for the safe return of all remaining captives held by all sides of the Syrian civil war,” Mr and Mrs Kassig added.
“We remain eternally grateful for the many, many words of support and prayers from all over the world on our son’s behalf.
“We ask people to continue to pray for the safe return of all captives being held unjustly and all people being oppressed around the world, and especially for the people of Syria, a land our son loved.”

Hey Rayzur, I haven't heard from you lately. I hope your back is doing better. The last time we talked you were "feeling no pain" as they say, following the anesthesia! So what say you? Will the CBI revalue 90 Trillion dinar or lop the zeros and then slowly revalue 90 BILLION dinars?
oh my gosh, I've been to 3 continents a jungle and a desert since then and getting ready to head out again.... lol And thanks for asking, I'm doing great to fabulous-o... As far as the math problem you pose... IDK....that's a numbers question, and you might as well ask me the multiplicative inverse of pi, which is actually easier than your question cause you can memorize that answer........
However off the top of my head (cause I really don't give it much thought) ...if I answered just that question...actually I don't know that they would do either one in pure form.... I don't know how Iraq with its massive infra structure and development needs can run on 90 billion.... One Agency in one state of the US uses about a tenth of that (10 billion) every year and has all their infrastructure etc intact....Do I think they will eventually decimalize... sure they will....However I don't know that it would be a simple lose the zero thing... and would more likely be a relative to the SDR index,(versus USD) which won't be a simple zero knock off...(again I don't do numbers and am trying to explain it more conceptually)...And will China be part of the SDR equation by then... don't know, they will be the largest economy surpassing us by the end of this year... and they have been pushing for inclusion... So my first pass would be an SDR equation (which all the contracts are written in anyway).... versus a simple zeros are gone.... and decimalization therein and thereafter (so yeah zeros would be gone, but who knows the conversion and... after that, who knows what will be the exchange rate.... (btw I don't think the zeros come off the exchange rate as a formal formula... and in contrast, the exchange rate will follow after the conversion... whenever they do that.... Will they decimalize before allowing the value to raise? Well that is a huge question....who the hellll knows....
Interestingly, the war-like conflict plays both sides of the sword... maybe its not stable enough to change monetary policy.... However, with the extremely fluid situation and with the introduction of Daesh gold backed currency.... well that could be a game changer.... They could be waging war like China has for eons.... economically.... And when you are in a economic war, and are attempting to overcome an adversary... you don't show up with a squirt-gun...
Who knows, they make all the numbers up anyway, and then figure out how to fit them together.... So if you have an economic war in that region.... and in combination with pretty much ever single financial wizard (the real ones) saying "we have never been in this place before and have no frickin clue what is going to happen next, so we are going to hedge our bets and do a little bit of everything".... Who knows?? ....The IMF changing policy and saying you can now monetize against what is in the ground versus what you have extracted is likewise a game changer... I have no idea what Iraq has declared, no idea what is their declared asset base to the IMF... ... I do know that after that announcement, the US found all kinds of gas and oil that had never before been talked about as an asset..... Oh!! lookie lookie what we found lol lol..
What's going to happen... who knows... so many moving pieces... But a simple l0p at any time...I doubt it.... conversion via some SDR algorithm... sure.....When? no idea.. As to value of currency (versus value of what can be purchased)... no idea, so many moving pieces and absent the compass points of past, combined with a desire to "win" the war against Daesh, who is introducing a gold backed currency.... etc etc etc.... ..There are so many primary unknown driving variables, I really don't know how there is enough certainty of predictability on either side of this discussion...
I do get that an "RV" of huge magnitude has never happened before... yet none of the other factors unfolding right and left have ever happened before either... we are walking on unknown ground across the board.... so who knows?? . ....Just another one of those life games that turns and twists and shakes about and we all get to be there together for the surprise ending...

About me: a lurker who has followed the Iraqi Dinar saga for over five years. No, I am not "invested", so stop reading if that is an issue for you.I'm on break so why not.... Hope you don't mind me answering inside your post, as it's easier to keep track of the questions and answers that go together... Anyway,
with the serious civil strife in Iraq, how can anyone still believe in the Iraqi Dinar myth? So much has been said about the dinar, to which specific myth are you referring? Seriously, are you assuming everyone believes they will exchange at 1:48? or 1:36, 1:1 or 1:.01..... Are you referring to an RV? And referencing that term, are you asking or assuming that everyone expects to be an overnight kazillionaire? Would your question also include those that think it may come in low and float higher... or are you directing your comments to only those you assume believe in overnight millions?
Hard to answer this question until you specify to which "myth" you refer....
If you do, and I know there are those of you that refuse to give it up, how can you justify your "blood money investment?"
You got to be kidding me. Haven't you taken world history yet? What money is not blood money? Seriously? Or does your question simplistically draw a line with contemporary, or most recent blood spilled over money..... Throughout the ages people weren't fighting over land, and power for sport?!?! It is incredibly naive to suggest that any money is not blood money on some level. So are you asking people to draw the same line as do you in characterizing dinar as blood money because this is the first time you've become aware that blood was spilled for money?? Or is it just recent blood that counts, or ME blood, or... how did you decide to draw your line here? And of course you are free to do so, but that in no way obligates me to likewise incorrectly view this as somehow unique.....
Now do I think they or anyone "owes" me because I may have invested? No they do not. Nor do I expect them to do anything other than what suits them as a country best, and if people down the line profit because of that... great... .
Bottom line, if you hold to the belief that "I'm only "invested" to what I can afford to lose." Isn't there a much more humanitarian use for your "throw-away" cash?
If you are in the habit of giving away for humanitarian needs, wouldn't it make sense to speculate on a means that might exponentially provide for greater giving on a much larger scale? And sure some of those assumptions from earlier days may have ratcheted down a bit. But initially, if that is truly in your heart, then wouldn't you do everything possible to maximize the depth and extent to which you could give?
Frankly in all the posts I've ever read, I don't recall ever having read anyone saying.... "I bought dinar so as to provide exclusively for myself and look forward to the day I can buy everything I've ever wanted for me, in benefiting myself and what I want"..... Never have I seen that... People always have spoken about how many others they would love to help, be it family, friends or someone they've never met.
Seriously guys. Especially you who espouse your Christian beliefs, why not charity instead of a get-rich-quick scam? Tell me your motivations, please. I don't understand from the context of loving your fellow man.
I don't get what's so hard to understand? First of all, its doesn't have to be either/or... I give right now... and a lot... and I am sure many if not most so as well to the degree they are able. If its part of you and your heart, you are already doing what you can. Why would you not also again, do what you could to maximize your ability to give on a much bigger scale to many more? Why would you want to limit your ability to give??
In any possible scenario from this point forward, even with the "magic" RV, there is now way your "investment" is not tainted with the blood of innocent people. If you disagree, please justify your point.
Please justify why you think dinar is some kind of exception to any other currency being blood money? All money is blood money. And the only difference is proximity on a time line. Indeed, the American Civil War, a time when more American blood was spilled than in ANY other war, was all about money.... So should people not invest USD because it is blood money??? Is there some expectation on your part that there should be a time period in which people should not use or speculate with a specific currency such that it is no longer considered blood money?? And how is it you justify that line or demarcation point? How much guilt do you need people to feel?

I don't know if it kills as such, though it can make one miserable and maybe you die from that... And you can be stone cold broke and greedy... or fabulously wealthy and not a greedy bone in your body. The presence or absence of money is not what makes a person greedy. You're going to have to look a lot deeper than someone's bank account or investment habits to determine whether or not there is greed in their heart....
So let me ask you, when is the last time you picked up a homeless person, brought him to your house, bought him clothes, a bike and sleeping gear including a down bag, and then paid him hourly to do odd jobs around the house. Did you feed him every day while he worked? Leave the house open when you left, bought him a cell phone and helped him put an ad on Craigslist?? My answer would be, the most recent person?, about an hour ago...
Making the assumption that any and every one who invests in dinar is somehow greedy, or uncharitable, or avoiding their humanitarian responsibility in the here and now,.... is a very messy slippery slope that will ultimately put you on your azzzzz.... and playing the part of the fool you had hoped to foist off on them....
Sometimes the very best thing we can do is worry about our own actions, motivations and heart and spend a lot less time worrying about that for others.....
And as always... just my opinion...

One can only hope that the Republicans who so clearly objected to O care, and are now in a position to finally do something about it as a majority in both Senate and House.... will tear this thing down immediately... Hopefully it is the first thing on their agenda... blow it up. deconstruct, and go back to the drawing board.... They have the power to do something... now do it.. act on those objections, and take it down.... .

I suspect that this is a move by ISIS and who ever is pulling their strings, to try and cause confusion in an attempt to delay or outright stop the RV.
Not that everything in the world is related to the dinar and an RV.... however, if a relationship exists between these two, I would think if anything it would trigger an "RV".... if part of your plan is to wage economic war you would want to come into the fight with as much as you can... And/or if Daesh currency comes in very high, it seems competing countries would want to at least keep pace so as not to let that 'state" get too far out there ahead...There are all kinds of reasons I would think it would be the opposite of stopping an RV relative to Daesh currency..... ,

Its the most recent film out of Kobane,...Its the first USA MSM reporter in Kobane... it answers the kinds of questions Westerners would ask, and questions specific to the US/Western participation in the ME in general, relative to our specific politics... as well as a nice historical summation, of what happened and why. ... It wraps it up all very nicely in one concise package of general overview....

It covers the US in Iraq, departure, Arab Spring, Libya, Syria, the rise of Baghdadi and how it happened as would be expected, who trained the Iraqi Army,= General Barbero who in 2010 saw them as very capable, and and why they failed (ran) and what General Barbero says about it now in Nov 2014.....The piles of US weapons the Iraqi Army left for Daesh in Mousel (Iraqi Army out-numbered Daesh 15 to 1 !!!!) despite the US spending 25 BILLION dollars to train them... Liberals: Baghdad and Erbil agreement will establish the principle of non-fear of the region and the government's 2014 budget sent to parliament

Kanani said that "this step if solved once and for all, will establish the principle of the fear of the existence of any region within the Iraqi state, or even what is subtracted from the oil-producing provinces irregular benefits province," noting that "this step will mean realistically statehood federal federalism on the basis of mutual cooperation between the federal or provincial authorities or governorates not organized province authorities. "
The leader of the Liberal bloc that "a failure to pass the budget factors are the region's oil exports, while other factors concerns the oil-producing provinces and subjected to the western provinces," likely "to pass the 2014 budget during the month if the House of Representatives did not have the legislative Bajazath a couple of months."

Twelve Turkish nationalists detained after an attack on U.S. sailors in Istanbul were released on Thursday but could still face charges for causing insult and injury, local media reports said.
The group assaulted the three sailors on a crowded street in Istanbul on Wednesday, shouting "Yankee go home", throwing paint and trying to pull hoods over their heads, in an assault condemned by the United States.

The group, members of the nationalist Turkish Youth Union (TGB), were told they faced possible charges of insult, injury and breaching laws on public protests in an Istanbul court before being released by the prosecutor, the Dogan News Agency (DHA) said.
The U.S. Embassy described video footage of the attack, posted on the TGB's website, as appalling. The Pentagon said shore leave had been cancelled for other servicemen from the U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer, the USS Ross, which was expected to leave Istanbul on Thursday.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry also condemned the attack, branding it disrespectful and "impossible to view with tolerance".
The assault appears to have been inspired by an incident in Iraq in 2003, when U.S. forces detained a Turkish special forces unit, leading its members away for interrogation with hoods over their heads.
Turkey is a key NATO ally in the Middle East but anti-American sentiment runs high. A recent poll showed only 19 per cent of Turks have a favourable view of the United States.

The video claims to show al-Baghdadi next to a black SUV car, suffering injuries due to the airstrike.
In the beginning, Baghdadi appears to be lying on the ground, groaning in pain while one of his aides is lying dead beside him. Baghdadi moves slightly before ISIS elements hurry to rescue him.
The injured, who Balad TV claims is al-Baghdadi, is dressed in a military uniform and is said to be wearing a watch on his right hand which appears similar to the one he wore during his sermon at Mosul. IraqiNews.com has not independently verified these claims.
A spokesman for the Central Command of the US Army, Col. Patrick Raider, said two days ago that warplanes of the international coalition targeted ISIS leaders who were meeting near Mosul and that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi may have been among those who were targeted.
According to officials from the United States, US air raids managed to destroy a convoy of 10 cars belonging to the organization of the Islamic State; they were traveling in a convoy near the city of Mosul in northern Iraq.

Still no official confirmation as to whether or not Baghdadi was injured or killed.. One source noted it will become apparent as soon as its determined if John McCain sent a "Get Well" card or a "Sympathy Wreath" in response to this weekends air strike of the Mousel convoy. .

Davis, that must have been such an overwhelming mind bending shock to go through so much in such a short time. Not many of us are wired to go through that much loss and keep a clear head for thinking things through..... Instead, most of us go to this numb place of paralysis, and have a really hard time seeing any possibility of a way out... And for some people, that place can get so dark, they start to believe the only way out is to check out.... But that's not true, and I think deep in your heart you "know that you know that" You are holding on now, and I think deep inside, however dark, there is a part of you that knows to look for the light in that tunnel..... Hold on to that part of yourself.... listen to that part, trust that part of yourself..... that knows eventually the light is there....It is.. It just might not feel like it now... but it is
Indeed, many people on this thread have confirmed that.... having been in the place you are now.. While others have said, "let go, let G-d fill your being with His presence and He will carry you through this.
I get that you've made decisions that resulted in a life that doesn't look like what you expected. It looks to you like you've lost everything... which is something you can change... Indeed this place you are now, where it feels like you have lost everything? It will change ....just as the place you were a year ago changed into where you are now...And the real tragedy would not be the decisions you made in the past, but instead the future decision to refuse learning from them, and walking to the other side of this.....
Everything in front of you right now can be changed, the real tragedy would be making a decison so permanent that you would deprive yourself and everyone in your life the chance to make something even better from all of this. And I get it might not feel like that now... but give yourself a break, and know that you're not in the best place for making any lasting decisions...you're not, So back away from thinking you have to. You don't. Not now... Instead sit with the moment, find comfort in being as gentle with yourself as you can and walk through the pain one step at a time. That's all you need to do right now... Maybe call or visit old friends you haven't seen in awhile, take long walks about town, get out and be with the world somehow... One step at a time... do what you need to do for you in walking through this... I promise, this too shall pass... and you will get to the other side, whether you believe that or not... you will...
