Here is the thing... George Washington said it best when he said "America must isolate itself, it must be concerned with the affairs of the world but must most importantly focussed on America". This is the truest sentiment that comes from our past. We need to forget about what is going on in all of these countries and regain focus on what will strengthen America. I whole heartedly believe President Washington's sentiments. I only wish our current leaders felt the same way. Bottom line, the wealth of other nations is worthless if we can't see the fortune of our own people, and the potential of the wealth that we possess.

You don't get Cost of Living Allowance COLA unless you are stationed there on permanent assignment. So yes I do know about COLA and it has nothing to do with travel vouchers in DTS. you are paid based on the USD value in the United States not where you are during our trip. That is a fact. I understand your response but it still holds no weight. You don't get paid more if you go to Japan, Italy, or Iraq because of the exchange rate. Where yo do make more money is on your per diem. That is the only thing that changes based on location. You can argue with me until you are blue in the face but you are wrong. Give me negatives and bring the insults but you are dead wrong. I read on another site that military vouchers for travel were paid in dinar for troops coming back from Iraq. This is completely untrue. Military vouchers are paid under the DOD budget in USD no matter where you are in the world. Anyone who wants to question this or challenge this please try. I am an active duty Marine with 11 years in and have traveled all over the world. I know the travel system inside and out and I know that when we go to foreign lands we are paid by the DOD and we are paid in USD. The exchange rate of the country we are in had nothing to do with our pay. The only things that constitute more pay are hardship, hazardous duty, hostile fire/ imminant danger, tax free, special duty assignment, flight pay, or medical pay. obviously I know what I am saying and whoever said that vouchers are being paid at 5.27 is a comlete and total liar. just wanted to clear this up. Also as a side note I have friends in Iraq and nothing is going on right now with special meetings or announcements. Finally when the Gov't of Iraq wants to make an announcement, they do it without US approval and without coalition forces on the ready as some have claimed. US forces do help with security but this BS about setting up stages and being on the alert is BS. When they are on the alert it is for different reasons, dispite what OKIE may say. I'm picking up what your putting down. I would think they would just want to give us our money straight up, makes more sense. I think they will end up paying for it in resources over a period of time. Its like buying a car, who wants to put up all the money up front. Most people want to spend the banks money and keep their cash in their pocket to invest and make more from it. Iraq may be thinking the same thing. Pay back over a period of time through oil certificates and invest their cash in other commodities. I think no matter what happens we will continue to get raped in the oil trade so we will ultimately lose and they will end up with the money in their pockets. Just like the Saudis. JMHO

The way it was explained to me is that theses oil certificated are like food stamps, the US puts another 0 onto the tally and sends the physical currency back to Iraq, or uses the large bills to do major currency transactions associated with contracts or government aid.

from what I read this thing is saying that small time currency speculators will be able to freely exchange currency and will be protected from spread gouging by the banks. In addition they are saying that banks may hold active investment accounts in foreign currency, meaning you could make an investment in a speculative currency and not a registered foreign exchange, which is currently the only approved way, however, once your money is converted to the foreign currency it is no longer insured through the FDIC. Banks may currently allow you to buy and sell foreign currency but they do it through an exchange. This will allow all banks to engage in currency speculation without utilizing an exchange house. I could be totally off base because the language is confusing but I think I got most of it. I think the thing that is most important to all of us is that we will be protected from banks charging huge rates for exchange and we will have more freedom to speculate on foreign currencies without needing to make huge investments. I'm pretty darn sure this is a good thing and comes at an interesting time. This is a boring read but you should read it and develop your own insite, like anything in this investment.

They are not the current smaller denoms. You can go to a lot of the dinar dealers web pages and the lower Denoms, 500, 250, 50 are available for viewing. not supporting other sites but here is a link to view the real ones. http://tampadinar.com/products-page/ I bought an investor's kit that has all of the lower denoms and each denom looks different by color size and picture.
