DinarsReady, 10 to 1 you'll be in line smiling with the rest of us when Iraq goes international with their currency whether there's an RV or not. C'mon don't sit there and bemoan us about wishful thinking. Even if you snuck a $5 5K note somewhere you'll get a decent profit when we see what happens with their programmed down currency in the very near future.

I recently bought 5K notes from both ebay and D. Trade with no problem either way. One thing I like to check for on ebay sellers of dinar is something that states they're registered with the US Treasury. Otherwise I could buy notes if the seller has a clean feedback record but never needed to. I too like D. Trade, things were handled quite well when I did business with them.

Very sorry to learn about this sad news, he always had my respect with all the excellent posts he gave us. My condolences go to his family and loved ones.

Wow, I have heard of currency codes, one for what they have now in currency (which is good) then there's a whole new code (which I think isn't good). If the rumor is true, I sure hope they're referring to the code they already have.

Thanks Bamagirl & KiaKaha, you're both sweet! I saw my doctor today and she said that as long as I'm careful the operation can wait until early June. (I had asked for a later date so my new PPO plan could go into effect) She also prescribed a mild pain pill to get me through the wait. Come to think about it, an RV would change the whole plan! How about a 'Plaid' screen, Happy Man?

What a load, there's a guru lurking around every corner attempting to lure the unfortunate folks in to their slimy cesspool of false information and hope. By allowing these posts into our forum it serves as an alert for all of us here. Kind of like public service if you will. I support Adam's decision to allow them fully. Gives us every reason to know what's out there and help protect our friends and family from falling prey to them. C

I did but it was three years later, in 2011. I went through some rough times with a job loss prior to that and had to start my investments all over again once I returned to work. (this included my Iraq investment) Let's cross our fingers something good happens here!

I love it when people say stick to the stock market and mutual funds, I remember 2008 pretty well watching my 401K drop over 7K and that was before the really bad stuff hit - my buddy - a former broker - saved the day and showed me what to do, which was move everything into a stable value fund. Yet I haven't lost a single cent on the Iraqi dinar. Scam? I don't think so. Thanks for the post Betty. Good as always.

I have a WF account but am just patiently waiting, so I can quietly walk in to the branch after the rv and request my friend there to personally connect me up with their wealth managers. Raising flags beforehand is not my cup of tea. Just sayin'.
