It appears this map does not show IDF occupation of the more hilly region in the northwest. Other areas show shrinking ISIS areas especially in the Old Mosul area. Yeah, ChuckFinley, I am having mixed emotions, too! What tips me in favor of something major is the suspension of the Iraqi football games. Picture this, our very fond and lustrous friends to the north have their hockey games suspended and for no reason what so ever - like just kidding folks, we just wanted to see how you would respond. I don't think the world could contain any one of them's fury!!! I am cautiously optimistic about the implications for the IQD going international due to the information in this article. From what I understand today, Iraqi Banks bring IQD to the CBI to get USD from the CBI to pay foreign obligations. This article seems to imply some branches of foreign banks, who do not exceed certain standards, are now allowed to do the same. Maybe I am just reading things into this and do not understand what they are saying. If this is true that some branches of foreign banks can now exchange IQD for USD with the CBI, the total liberation of Mosul could trigger activation of the Strategic Framework Agreement between the US and Iraq for reconstruction, etc in total that results in kicking the IQD for USD exchange in high gear requiring an international value for the IQD. Just thinking out loud, here. Maybe not an opinion or . Just trying to connect the dots on the implications of what the article appears to present. In the mean time......................... I like how the last article starts, "It announced that the US administration of President, Donald Trump , it is conducting a review of whether the lifting of sanctions against Iran is in the US national security interest." And then "He said US Secretary of State, R. Lex Tillerson , in a letter to the President of the House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, the largest Republican member of Congress, on Tuesday, said that Iran is still committed to the agreement reached in 2015, but pointed out that "there are concerns about its role as a sponsor of terrorism. "" Threat of additional sanctions on Iran may or may not be an effective lever to get Iran out of Iraq since IMIS, etc is a potential candidate for being placed on the terrorist list. This is potentially good news for removing foreign entities from Iraq (Iran in this case) that have been and are meddling in Iraqi affairs. Go Moola Nova!
