I agree BG and the way are evolving in the ME it looks to me is they will be kicking the can down the road for a while yet. I no longer look forward with anticipation that my Dinar will realise any significant value in my remaining years.

I thought they started their recess immediately after the budget was approved. I would say they are definitely on Recess now because of Han and Eid celebrations

It’s has been so long and drawn out and continues to be so that it would make a great TV mini saga. When I bought into this speculation I had the energy and many thoughts of things I would like to do if it ever revalued .. now I find it’s easier to do an online shop because it takes less time and energy than driving the 60k round trip to town to shop 😃

Your right @Bama Girl. Not only is Eid AlAdha this week but annual Haj begins 26th June as well.

Nothing is easy in relation to Iraq so I am sure there is a lot more arguing to be done before they get it sorted.🤔. Whether it passes before July 1 or not I’m totally over it all.

The ongoing saga continues..I thought they had all these things sorted in the weeks leading up to the final vote. 🤔

It is exciting times and I can see the a light at the end of the tunnel which some times goes dark because reality bites because I remember that this is Iraq and nothing they say or do is ever consistent. So go now it’s wait with 🙏’s and 🤞.

I didn’t think the Budget was being voted on till Monday🤔

We shall read on Saturday 20/05 that the vote on the Budget has been push out to Saturday 29/05.

May 1st is International Labour Day so it’s an Official Holiday. Here in Australia it is an official Holiday as well , even the Major Supermarket Chains are closed.
