  1. Right on Hitman! As a newbie I did tend to listen to these guys. After a while ( and not really that long) I got the picture....Bull Puckey! I don't even read them anymore for the entertainment value...it has lost it's humor. I really like your statement about Frank and bringing his god into this...rot in HELL! After all, this IS a site for GREED not GOD!! Show me the money!
  2. Hell, make them read the incoherent babblings of Frank! . I do hope Frank of "Frankly Speaking" can talk better than he writes. It is more difficult to decipher his posts than an Arabic news report! Where does he come up with this shyte? Anyone who could believe this dribble probably watches evangelists on Sunday morning. The one good thing is that I don't listen to his chats. I can't imagine listening when he starts off with a song....hmmm, maybe he's right. There IS a God! I do read the "runours" section for it's entertainment value but he is nothing less than ridiculous!
  3. 2-14-11 The Iraqi government to freeze tariffs indefinitely Highlights/Thoughts Click on the title of this posting to get the details of this article 1. The Ministry of Finance said they need to postpone the new tariff law 2. He said they are examining the possibility of suspending taxes on imports and noted that the House is the only one who can decide whether to postpone or not 3. He said a committee was formed to consider the possibility of applying the tariff law in an agreed upon timely manner, or to consider the possibility of postponing its application for a specific period 4. They will make a recommendation to the Cabinet within a week 5. The committee believes it should be postponed for a given period 6. There is discussion about delaying the law or reducing the percentage 7. They acknowledged the need for such legislation 8. An economic expert and deputy director of the CBI said the problem is that society is not aware of the requirements of an industrialized country, and they do not "buy" the requirements 9. He said they cannot raise the industrial sector with higher prices for production in the country and declining prices for imported goods 10. He also pointed out that the government will have to postpone the tariff law because of the failure of economic awareness in Iraq 11. He said the community will not tolerate increases 12. He said there is nothing wrong with postponing the law 13. He concluded that if Iraq wants industrial development, it must be at the expense of the consumer. They will not be able to develop happy consumers and industries at the same time If in fact the RV was imminent and assuming those in the GOI would know this , why would they be worried about the tariffs on imported goods? If the RV happened then the Iraqi people would have purchasing power and this would be a moot point. AM I missing something here?
  4. It is also interesting that in some parts it is in Billions, then in Trillions and then in Dollars. Any takes on that?
  5. I like this part...I do hope this is what they are planning!!!! Then move the exchange rate between overnight from 1120.00 dinars to the dollar to 1.12 dinars to the dollar
  6. I agree. Where can you find an investment with the potential this one has without really risking anything. It never RV's...so what..resell your dinars..lose a hundred dollars and move on! On the other hand one could make money like they have never seen...I for one am all for that. Yes, it IS a no-brainer!
  7. "Which means with all the GURU information anyone could gather over the years of time that stated that the Paris Debt Reduction Program is null and void without an RV in 2010.......... Then I guess it is null and void and the FULL DEBT MUST BE PAID now that the RV officially did not happen in the designated time frame." I am not sure where the gurus got this idea.....I have perused every paper related to the Paris Club and nowhere does it state this..nowhere. I agree with you. We all need to do our own research to verify or debunk any information we get from these forums and make our own conclusions. The best thing to do is just wait! We can read blogs till our eyes are red and it really means nothing until the "announcement" is made....IF the announcement is ever made. When it boils down to it, Iraq does not HAVE to RV...ever. They do need a recognized currency to trade worldwide and that will come with government formation, budget, agreements with Kuwait and then UN sanctions lifted. After that , because of the rich oil fields they possess, the dinar will gain strength on it's own....and that is where I see our investment coming to fruition. Of course I ,like everyone else here, would love to see it just "pop" and become rich...it is possible but I am not holding my breath. I thank all of you that do research and share your findings with us all...I hope it pays off........and to the gurus...I do hope you are right one day!

  9. I do tend to lean toward a gradual increase in the Dinar as well. This is a country ripe for the pickin'...wealth in natural resources beyond belief which WILL lead to a VERY strong currency....this may take a while but it WILL be very profitable!! If it does go BOOM..hey I am all for it but I expect to be reading these forums for a while longer before I cash in! Good luck to us all and have a wonderful Xmas!! If this happens to work out like we all would like it to do, I will run down the streets naked screaming George W. and Saddam's name out loud saying "I love you guys"!!
  10. Maybe we should just not be looking for # "40" at all and concentrate on the rest of that statement..."a call for immediate revaluation of currency." I for one would love to see a replay of this speech and hear that part of the sentence for myself....what great news if this were to be true!
  11. Parliament speaker says govt. won Iraqis’ support December 21, 2010 - 04:48:31 BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Parliament’s Speaker Osama al-Nujaifi said on Tuesday that the government presented by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki won Iraqis support. “The lawmakers approved the new Iraqi government presented by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki,” al-Nujaifi said in the session aired by al-Iraqiya satellite channel. Lawmakers began their session on Tuesday afternoon with speeches ahead of a vote on Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s 42-strong cabinet list which leaves Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari in place and includes current Oil Minister Hussein al-Shahrestani as deputy prime minister for energy. Before the voting started, former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, who failed to gain enough support for a parliamentary majority after his cross-sectarian Iraqiya bloc won the most seats, told lawmakers his Sunni-backed coalition would participate fully in the government. The prime minister’s partial list of proposed ministers, published on Monday, promoted deputy oil minister Abdul Kareem Luaibi to minister and made prominent Sunni leader Rafie al-Issawi finance minister.
  12. Aswat-Al Iraq: BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Parliament adjourned session on Monday after discussing all issues listed on its agenda, a member of al-Iraqiya List said. “The session was adjourned until tomorrow to discuss the cabinet line up to be presented by the Prime Minister-designate Nouri al-Maliki at 5:00pmm today,” Salah al-Juburi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “Prime Minister-designate Nouri al-Maliki sent an official letter to the parliament, asking to present his cabinet line up on Dec. 20,” the state-run television of Iraqia quoted Minister of State for Council of Representatives affairs Safa al-Din Mohammed al-Safi as saying. On Nov. 25, Iraqi President Jalal Talabani officially asked incumbent Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to form the country’s next government after the rival political blocs approved earlier a power-sharing deal that ended the eight-month political deadlock. According to the Iraqi constitution, Maliki has to pick his cabinet within 30 days after his official nomination as prime minister-designate by the president. The new government and its programs will have to win the approval of an absolute majority of the members of the parliament.
